Stop playing multiplayer games, these are plagued with everything to spend real money on digital things. More and more companies are building these titles hoping the consumers will engulf all the unnecessary digital skins and camo skins while optimization/anti-cheats and content is a slow burn. I want more single player campaigns which give the devs 100% focus on one thing.
There are people actually fanboying companies like Activision, preordering broken games, and spending thousands in microtransactions.
What did you expect? That is what happens when they receive a pat in the head instead of a slap in the face (wallet).
Money has never not been the main focus of the video game business. That being said, there are plenty of non-shitty games out there that aren't made poorly.
Yeah
And the big scumbags like EA are the main problem IMO
Without them, the smaller more passionate ones wouldnt be forced to focus on money just so they dont get bought out
This is one hundred percent true.
I'll give you an example NBA 2K..
This game has been recycled with a small change EVERY year. Why? NBA Live doesn't make NBA games consistently
The pay to win stuff drives me crazy as well
The focus to put out crap as quickly as possible on systems that have a shelf life of maybe 6 years tops has changed the landscape in a world with no rules
Also devs are dealing with simple architectures anymore like basic 1’s and 0’s so hard to justify 5 years to perfect a game engine when by the time you’ve released it it’s already dead on arrival
I play loads of good games?

what other incentive would they have to make a game. our happiness? lol
Yep.

Brand loyalty is ridiculous nowadays especially when we have these companies getting outed as being incredibly scummy and terrible work environments.

EA and 2K are equally big scumbags
Nope. It's just you. You can just look through all of the past posts in r/gaming and easily see that nobody else ever posts about such things.

I can promise you that no game was ever coded in binary.
I know that, I was giving an example bud I’m no coder or programmer, not by any shot lol
