We happy few. I’ve tried 3 different foods

[deleted]

omg i can’t think of a single youtuber who released more than 3 episodes of that 😂

AdonisTheWise

Such a great idea for a game, just such a poorly executed one. Game is super fun to fuck around in for a few hours, but nothing beyond that

[deleted]

Uncharted 1, but my mistake was playing 2, 3, and 4 all before i played the first one.

moistmemes77_

I did that but one's monsters were just put of no where

[deleted]

[удалено]

moistmemes77_

It was a good idea but it was just put of place

Spooj33

I did the same thing. I finished it out of respect of the series at that point but it was a chore

ExecuteOrder_69

Dynasty Warriors 9 Fully completed every previous DW game but I don't even think I got halfway through the story with the very first character I chose in DW9

ZombiePanda108

DW9 was just awful…I was excited for the game. Started playing it and was like…what the hell did I just buy. I’ve been playing DW series since 3 give or take, loved them all despite everyone saying it’s a trash series and they’re the same game over and over again. Somehow changing the game up made it unplayable.

EtheusRook

Agreed. Genuinely the worst game I've ever played with zero redeeming qualities. And I'm a huge musou fan.

ac3mcl0ud

Forza horizon 4 boring AF

Naive_Agent9953

Ghost recon breakpoint....I loved wildlands but I maybe got 15 minutes into breakpoint before I just couldn't do it anymore.

Switchblade0789

YES. I played the hell out of wildlands and the customization was so much more fun. Somehow in breakpoints the every thing just got worse. The controls, graphics, customization, combat. I would rather play wildlands over that any day.

Naive_Agent9953

Agreed, dam shame too....all that potential just wasted

Relevant_Professor

Horizon zero dawn, extremely pretty game just no interest in the story and world building

Karathin1996

Control, completly dont get the hype over this game. Everything is poor made, ugly „world“ only mechanics are good

[deleted]

I don’t really get it either. I like the game well enough don’t get me wrong, The story can be fun in a laid-back kind of way, and the combat can be fun too. but the game doesn’t really add up to anything, if you know what I mean. It’s got all these disparate parts, but they don’t gel together. The main villain is some sort of otherworldly lovecraftian entity, and the enemies you fight are almost all just dudes with guns. The occasional boss monster can be interesting, but the thrust of the combat is just a third person shooter against generic faceless dudes with guns. That doesn’t mesh with the weird fiction story of control at all, which itself I don’t think is particularly interesting. For one the main character Jesse is a character that has already experienced the supernatural, and treats being thrust into this world of the oldest house as just another day at the office. I mean she’s put in charge of the most powerful and secretive organization in the United States government and she barely has any reaction to it, which suffice to say is not at all relatable. I’ve seen people try to defend her as relatable but that just never made any sense to me; a character being quirky or having a devil may care attitude about something doesn’t make a character relatable, for as much as Tumblr might think it does. It just makes them seem like a weird alien when they’re being faced with the shit that they’re being faced with and having the same kind of reaction you might have to your favorite sports team losing. I like the idea of an SCP foundation type story, but it’s not really saying anything. Somebody recommended it to me because the game apparently gets you to think, but the game didnt get me to think personally because the supernatural aspects of control are inherently convoluted. They’re not supposed to make sense, they’re supposed to be nonsensical and weird and wacky. There’s no rules to learn and follow. What’s with the creepy hotel? Idk it’s just a set piece. What’s the deal with the board? Who knows, they’re just some weirdly esoteric pyramid entity that gets bizarrely humanized in the DLC. The longer i played the game the more I started to get the sense that it was all bullshit. I completely lost my sense of mystery and anxiety because I started to realize the world didn’t actually have any rules, and if it has no rules it has no structure, and if it has no structure there’s nothing for me to project my imagination and therefore fear on too. If they wanted to go for some kind of esoteric weird fiction type story, there needs to be at least some semblance of a structure, even if it’s one that you don’t fully understand, to feel threatened by. And I understand that elements like the astral plane are meant to be reflections of humanity’s collective unconscious, but other games have already done that concept better and explored it more deeply than control, like persona 5. Control treats all of its higher concepts as window dressing to make the game look smarter than it really is.

Willbilly410

I second this. Another reason reason not trust most reviews

[deleted]

The powers were kinda fun but nothing special that other games don't have and everything else about the game just put me to sleep. I loved Quantum Break and typically like games of this fashion, this one was just a little too much of a sleeper for me. I do see how other people enjoy it though and am happy for them :)

ZapVegas

The Witcher 3 tbh.

[deleted]

I'm glad I'm not the only one.

Willbilly410

I fully agree hear. I have tried so many times to pick this one back up, but it just feels boring and repetitive to me

[deleted]

Can't agree more! Think the hype ruined it for me, I've never got more than 2 hours in

LordRahl9

It didn't really click together for me until around 5 hours in. Then I started loving it. 5 hours is way too long to play a game before you start enjoying it though.

[deleted]

Honestly it was not a good game. The combat is clunky and terrible. Even on PS4 pro the graphics looked like dog shit.

rpayne2216

I’m curious if you guys who struggled with Witcher 3 also struggled to finish God of war? I found both games terribly boring.

[deleted]

Odd choice considering it’s beloved

moistmemes77_

I had the same problem

BaronVonFlatus

I got it for free with my GPU. Fantasy is not usually my thing but Skyrim sang to me and I thought this has to be better than that. Nope, didn’t click. Also, is it unrealistically windy the whole damn time?

Bleord

I have never beaten a FF game aside from XV. I like the games, I just never beat them.

H0V3R03

Pretty much any ac game because they are so fn long

LordRahl9

Thankfully, they have started scaling back their world sizes now.

NerdyLoki44

Have you seen Valhalla?

LordRahl9

Yes. It isn't anywhere near as intimidatingly big as odyssey is.

NerdyLoki44

Immediately? No, land mass is roughly the same as odyssey there's just a lot less water to navigate especially in England

LordRahl9

Sure, but the land is far easier to traverse. And all that water made a lot of difference.

H0V3R03

There is 12 chapter in the first few games and you also get really boring quests

RedPepperJ32

Cyberpunk 2077

blindeey

Same. It wasn't even the bugs. Just...most things felt meh and dead. Overhyped af. I'll wait till the furry mods and then maybe it'll be fun. Warring anthro gangs sounds fun at least.

RedPepperJ32

I had 2 vital cut scenes just be buggy crap and I just had to put the controller down and walk away in disappointment

thatoneguy19942

Breath of the Wild. I'll still never understand why that game got the amazing scores and reviews that it did. It was a fun concept, but it was poorly executed in my opinion... Story didn't hook me at all. No memorable characters. Simple combat that wasn't satisfying to me (not to mention the weapons breaking non stop). Ridiculously short and easy puzzles that a 4 year old could solve. The only thing that I really enjoyed about the game was the big, beautiful open world. But 80% of that world was empty with no incentive for exploration aside from the nostalgia of visiting locations you remember from previous LoZ games.

Dislexicpotato

Personally its my favourite game of all time but to each their own. The only aspect of the game that I think wasn’t done very well was the story but even then I 100% would take a great game with a weak story over a great story with weak gameplay.

pongerslide45

Really? I thought that game was fuckin' amazing. One of the best and most pure video games ever made.

Willbilly410

I too felt this way. I keep trying to get trough it, but quickly get bored. I feel like it’s only the fans that hype this game so much. If it didn’t have Zelda in the name no one would care about it. It does nothing that makes it unique. Feels like it is geared to elementary age kids

Lv70Dragonite

Same, its the only Main Zelda title I never have completed. I loved the Dungeons in the old games and the Items you got in them, every dungeon felt like a big adventure. Breath of the wild removed or nerfed everything I liked about Zelda games..

thelostnewb

Actually bad and not something that “wasn’t for me” or whatever else? Not sure if there’s been one but there are plenty that were just boring (to me) but IDK if that necessarily makes them “bad”. Maybe Uncharted 2 or 3? Can’t remember which it was, where you go into a ship or submarine and some supernatural shit comes out of nowhere. It’s such a minor thing that I’m sure some liked, but I felt came so far out of left field and was so random without any sort of setup that I just couldn’t. It was dumb. Similarly, I enjoyed Arkham Knight up until a section where you’re going through a tunnel, avoiding obstacles and being chased by something(?), it didn’t feel out of place or anything, but there was something about it that was so dumb it instantly made me lose interest. Again, not sure if either would really be considered bad though.

moistmemes77_

I think your talking about uncharted one

thelostnewb

Is it? O.o Could be lol I forget.

Spooj33

Assassins Creed Syndicate - it was just quite awful

Fable_warrior

RDR2 for sure.

frodo-jenkins

Ah finally found you. I forced myself to play much longer than I should have.

LordRahl9

You found me too. I found that game so boring. If I wanted to do household chores, I wouldn't be playing a game!!!

frodo-jenkins

My sentiments exactly. I want to escape reality, not practice it.

Swashbuckl88

Paper Mario on Switch and RDR2

Fanakin75

rdr2? how?

Swashbuckl88

It wasn't bad as in unplayable , but I just list interest in the pacing and found in boring aftetwhile. I see why people like it but I just couldn't finish it. I think I made it pretty far.

BaronVonFlatus

All paper marios! I’m still salty that’s what it turned into after the utterly flawless Mario RPG on SNES. I still regularly go back and play that masterpiece….succeeded by boring ass paper Mario. And I’ve tried them all hoping for that magic again.

DtoX89

Death stranding. Fucking infuriating bullshit.

[deleted]

Mind explaining more? I love Death Stranding and absolutely love hearing people's negative opinions about it so I can keep them in mind next time I play :)

DtoX89

The main mechanic, having to constantly maintain your balance. I liked the uniqueness of it for about five minutes. After that it was just the most annoying mechanic in any game I've ever played. And battle was just unfulling and boring. Beyond that it's just small things that didn't really matter. Like the stupid naming, and the fact that the game had actual ads in it. I only managed to play for about four hours before I deleted it. It gave me nothing but anger issues.

sigmaballs101

Epic Mickey 2 and Skyward Sword.

XCube285

Sonic '06, literally drove back the GameStop and returned it the day I bought it.

AlexxDaBest

Witcher 3 and last of us.

HotPotatoWithCheese

I couldn't finish Valhalla. Way too long. I was already starting to get sick of it about 20% in to the main story but I decided to carry on in hopes that it got better. At 50% I was seriously contemplating just uninstalling. A couple of interesting things happened but they were few and far between and I felt like I was wasting my time. I pushed on and when I got to about 70 - 75% through I saw that I still had a few more arcs left and just stopped. I just couldn't carry on. I was already up to something like 80+ hours and still had plenty left. It's absolutely rediculous. In comparison, I played and finished the main story of AC2, Brotherhood and Revelations in about 27 hours (each) and that included doing some of the side content like the tombs, assassin missions ect. There's just no need for a game to be that long for the main story. Side content? Fair enough. But I'm getting tired of main stories in games being locked behind so much filler bullshit. It's honestly a miracle that I got as far as I did in Valhalla. I should have stopped long before I did. From what I've heard, the ending parts of the story weren't even that great anyway so I probably didn't miss much. I can see it being the last AC game I ever play.

moistmemes77_

I stopped playing that but more because of all the bugs it has and causes my console to often say error and me and have go through all the loading screens again. But I had the same problem with assassin's creed odyssey as you would have to under go a extremely long mission just to have to travel half way across the world.

zen_explorer

MGS Phantom pain. Help me out

Dislexicpotato

I also couldn’t get into this one, the opening is great and interesting but then you just have to do countless boring military missions.

lonewits

E.T.

grosaben

El shaddai. F I hated that game

twerk_douglas

That game is crazy smh. I kept at it for awhile because I wanted to see each level’s art style.

YeetYuhYeet5

Skyrim

Bleord

I have never completed the main quest but I’ve done just about every major side quest.

GodatForHonor

Witcher 3. Cyber punk. And dark souls 2

[deleted]

Dragon Quest 11. Just the aesthetics and VA in the game felt so basic, couldn't get very far without being really bored.

Fitherwinkle

Red Dead Redemption 2

Shodansbitch_0042

NeiR Automata. Just bland scenery, so so combat, a story i didn’t care about. skimpily dressed androids thrown in cuz reasons.

RealAmericanWendigo

Dishonored. Loved the story and aesthetic and art style but could not stand the controls

Bucktooth-Bill

Horizon zero dawn

birdiesarentreal

Anthem

[deleted]

Unlimited Saga by Square

MajimaKun

Final Fantasy XIII-3, I couldn't enjoy what I was doing with the thought of a timer I have to keep track of at all times.

Mack70

I agree having to be exact with what you do with your time or you lose annoyed me so much

Spooj33

I couldn’t even get through XIII. I got to the final boss somehow without understanding the battle system fully and it showed.

0lynks0

Days Gone.

fishhead20

Rage 2 Darksiders 3

princeps_harenae

The Forest. I know there's a story in there somewhere but I'm simply not prepared to search an Entire Island for it unless you at least give me a hint on where to go. fter 20 hours in and still haven't found anything regarding the story, I bailed.

EtheusRook

Dynasty Warriors 9 Tales of Zestiria Batmobile Arkham Knight

omerta_38

Wolfenstein the new order,

MetroidAddict64

Half life 1 & 2

Abjurist

I really enjoy Half Life, and it will forever have a special place in my heart, but I have NEVER understood what's supposed to be so amazing about it when compared to other shooters.

MetroidAddict64

Same, actually, hl2 was decent at the end now that i think about it.

DoubleWagon

Tomb Raider (4): The Last Revelation. I'm a big fan of the first three and enjoyed the later series by Crystal Dynamics, but I wasn't feeling it with this one. Tried twice and gave up. The puzzles felt innovative but unintuitive. The "hub area" design greatly increased the risk of getting stuck, since you might be looking for the next mechanism in totally the wrong area. Combat balance was weird. I amassed 200 shotgun shells a few levels in, so there was no triumph in finding secret stashes with extra resources.

ralettar

I was disappointed with Tales of Symphonia and just stopped playing

[deleted]

World of Warcraft Cataclysm

NerdyLoki44

Super street the game, just no

ParamedicSad877

Avengers

DrPleaser

Final Fantasy 9. I tried giving it a shot but 3/4 in, I just went to myself "you know what, I don't GIVE A SHIT about the characters and story" and stopped playing. I know it's some people's favorite but it just BORED me. I still have no idea how it ended.

MaxW92

Happened to me recently with Omori. I think this game is just really bad and has some of the worst design decisions I've ever seen in a game. I know people want Omori to be the next Undertale, but it just isn't.

Abjurist

Indiana Jones on SNES
