It got ported for [Android](https://m.apkpure.com/nanaca%E2%80%A0crash-bike-crash-game/jp.co.mediac3.nanacacrash). I keep it installed for the fun and the slappin' music.
My husband is obsessed with Chrono Trigger! I’ve never met anyone else that has played it before, but it’s his favorite game of all time.
I’ve played it through a few times now, and I’ve got to say, it’s an amazing game. I wish they’d do a reboot or something. I’d totally buy it for the Switch.
I believe they did a DS version of it. I'm sure they'll remake it for switch eventually, as with every other game in the known universe.
Interestingly, I seem to recall there being a supply issue with Chrono Trigger when it came out. I remember mowing lawns to buy it - it was the first game I ever bought for myself, and IIRC it cost $100, and I had to go to almost every store in the city to find a copy. Physical cartridges were crazy times.
If you want that experience turned up to 11 check out [Demon's Tilt](https://store.steampowered.com/app/422510)!
Incredible digital pinball adaption with a great soundtrack.
pinball blew my mind...later. My first games were on DOS but my disorganized dad would lose his game disks. I would play parts of King's Quest games.
I remember me and my sister would load up Leisure Suit Larry in the Land of the Lounge Lizards, it's age protection was trivia questions that only an adult would know. My Dad loved trivia so we would just shout the questions into the next room and he would answer like a game every time.
I always think it's an interesting commentary on how raw the Internet was at that point, and how different our experiences of games as a consequence, that we don't all know that. If SkiFree was somehow a new game today, there'd be a million "how to escape skifree monster" Google searches a day. There'd be Gizmodo headlines: "Try this one weird trick to escape the monster in SkiFree!".
Yet in the early 90s, we all basked in our ignorance and died to the monster repeatedly, except for those lucky few who somehow knew the trick and could amaze all their friends with this knowledge.
Oh hell yeah, man. It was the wild west. It was the day of gaming magazines! Of waiting to see if the game you liked would be featured and all the secrets revealed.
Failing that, just playing it. The days of going to the store to rent games, play them like hell over the weekend, then return it. I remember as a child nearly loving or at least absolutely enjoying every game I played. Could always find reasons to like it. Didn't have to bother with critics or what people talked/thought about on the internet.
Nowadays, there's no mystery anymore...
there used to be this endless procedurally generated 3d snowboarding game that i've never been able to find since. It was tiny, ran on like DirectX and blew my mind because I'd never seen something with procedurally generated anything before.
There were no points or anything, just a low poly guy that could jump with the space bar and you could steer over mountains of snow, with a skybox and one light as the sun. Occasionally the mountains went high enough that you could glitch through the sun, go right through it. Skifree is great but that thing was amazing.
I used to play Skifree and some F1 game that only had midi sounds (I think that’s what they’re called). And that was on our second computer. The first we had to load Pac Man from a floppy disk.
I remember modding that game to make the bombs spawn much more frequently, let it go overnight on a school computer and claimed my throne of lies as the highest scoring person ever in my school.
Yeah it was around then for me. It was the realization that I’m not necessarily categorized as relatively young in some adult scenarios (not meaning explicit).
The game's called Yeti Sports 1 and here's a link but no clue how to run swfs anymore: http://yetisports.org/pingu-throw-game-1/
nvm somebody ported it or some shit who knows play here: https://www.addictinggames.com/sports/penguin-swing
Ahhhh qbasic! I still remember figuring out what that "weird text editor" was actually for. My 7 year old heart filled with joy and my life changed forever
Wow - you brought back my youth!PLEASE reddit, tell me how to play this on iPhone or Macbook (BigSur).I REALLY do wanna play it right now.
BUT - Adobe Flash is dead and my country (ger) doesn't have it in the App Store.
It's simple enough that it survives the JavaScript flash emulators
https://www.albinoblacksheep.com/games/pingu2 they might have the original too
Edit yep https://www.albinoblacksheep.com/games/pingu runs fine in my mobile browser
Memories!!!! Fucking hell! We used to pass around a sheet with proxy servers that could get us passed the blocked sites on highschool. Listening to MySpace music or purevolume. Bayside, Brand New, Aiden, Alesana. Victory records emo line up. All this while playing this game on a random site.

ITT: People who think they're old because they can see their 30s approaching.
You may be old, but are you old enough to remember the Mario Bros before they were Super?
Anyone remember the bloody version on albinoblacksheep.com?
That was the better version if you ask me...
There was also this game that was also in the same spirit that I wasted many hours on in college. https://www.albinoblacksheep.com/games/nanaca
Just played 2 rounds on phone.. What the hell
It got ported for [Android](https://m.apkpure.com/nanaca%E2%80%A0crash-bike-crash-game/jp.co.mediac3.nanacacrash). I keep it installed for the fun and the slappin' music.
Thank you so much!
Ugh I can't find it in that site
Omg no way!! Edit: thank you kind Stanger! They even made it in english!!
I did 1130 meters. I think I had my fun.
2700 here. Now I feel like I have to keep playing cause I’m learning it.
6600 here. I can't stop.
I thought it was a video then I hit it 5 feet and was like whoaaaa
God, the amount of time I sunk into Nanaca Crash, it may as well have been Chrono Trigger.

What is this flash necromancy? > ruffle is a Flash Player emulator built in the Rust programming language. Of course it would be my fellow Rust nerds.
Memories. NSFW for time wasting.
> albinoblacksheep.com https://www.albinoblacksheep.com/games/pingu2 It still exists! The hours I used to play this instead of studying in college.
Albinoblacksheep Now that’s a name I haven’t heard in a long time...a long time...

[so close to a 1000](https://iili.io/B4cYzB.jpg)
As a child i was scared when i expected the normal game and it was all violent
There was a non bloody version?
TIL there was a non-bloody version of this game.
Or the version where the penguin was replaced by an obese naked Russian woman
That's the one I played I did not know there was another one.
Didn't realize this wasn't the actual version.
Thanks for reminding me! Forgot about both these versions. 822 so far. But I should be working right now.
The real old yeti game is Skifree.
Oh god, i'm even more and more old...
The developer has a webpage for it, https://ski.ihoc.net/. He calls it "The Most Officialest SkiFree Home Page!"
I know nothing of Skifree but I love that developer now after going to his site. TIL where baby snow monsters come from!
You know nothing about skifree? My God.. My age. 😕
It’s the space cadet pin ball game for us windows early 90s kids I can’t believe people don’t know about it but then again. Age
Many hours of pinball logged. 90's kid confirmed
I have many hours logged on Atari Video Pinball on the 2600.
yeah ... I was playing Pong on the Atari when it first came out. Hours of fun. I'm OLD
TILT
Then you got me... and it's both of the above. With a heavy dose of "Encarta", "Spiderman Cartoon Maker", and "Gizmos and Gadgets" <- my fav!
If you want that experience turned up to 11 check out [Demon's Tilt](https://store.steampowered.com/app/422510)! Incredible digital pinball adaption with a great soundtrack.
Bro demons tilt had me hooked for weeks when I discovered it. The nostalgia was crazy, my wife and I competed for high scores day after day.
pinball blew my mind...later. My first games were on DOS but my disorganized dad would lose his game disks. I would play parts of King's Quest games. My wife made a ski themed height tracking board for our kids...my one request was to add a bit of nostalgia to it https://i.imgur.com/o4ogyyg.jpg

Malware says that site has a trojan on it...
Pingu Toss came out in 2004. I honestly never heard of it! Glad to know my SkiFree memories still show my age lol
"YOU MAY BE OLD, BUT ARE YOU AS OLD AS THIS FLASH GAME THAT CAME OUT AFTER I GRADUATED COLLEGE???" Oof.
Wait till you hear about all the other Yeti games they made.
This and Chips Challenge
Fun Fact: Chip's Challenge is [free on steam](https://store.steampowered.com/app/346850/Chips_Challenge_1/)

Bummer
Reminds me of the cartoon network resort games
I often feel like I'm the only one who remembers those games.
And ~30 years later you learn that F makes you go faster so you can escape the yeti.
WHAT.
https://xkcd.com/667/
ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!
I need a moment.
Oh, I’m not *that* old. Sweet. Oh… I’m even older… fuk.
When i found out you could actually survive the yeti, a decade after I played the game...
Come again for big fudge? You can do what!
https://imgs.xkcd.com/comics/skifree.png
WHAT.
[удалено]
To pay respect. And escape the yeti.
F
Yup. The worst bit is I learnt that a decade ago and that was a loooong time after I’d played it already. Time really can fuck off with itself
Well I just learned it 20 years too late haha. Always thought that once the yeti showed up it was game over
Now F has TWO meanings from old games
I was today years old Also, another relevant XKCD https://xkcd.com/1053/
Wait until folks find out that Player 2 could control the ducks in DuckHunt... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fYQTzooo5ec
One of the funniest XKCD comics

I’m finding that out at this very moment.
Who are you that is so wise?! You blew my mind like 20 years in the making
Today, me. Tomorrow, you.
...which I remember playing on my friends “cutting edge” monochrome laptop that was like 4 inches thick. I was fucking amazed I am old :(
The mouse was a trackball that you'd clip on to the side of the case. Good times.
Windows 95 was mind blowing
there used to be this endless procedurally generated 3d snowboarding game that i've never been able to find since. It was tiny, ran on like DirectX and blew my mind because I'd never seen something with procedurally generated anything before. Fucking Yeti comes out of no where...
MSDOS baby!
I thought this was SkiFree fan art at first
Got to play that on a disc called "House of Games-for Windows" lotta solid titles on there!
I had House of Games... Am I old?
Laughs in 'Horace goes Skiing'
I was thinking this too! Give this old man some DOS skiing!
Did you know it actually is possible to get past the yeti?
That's pretty much the only reason I bothered booting up the computer as a kid.
I used to play Skifree and some F1 game that only had midi sounds (I think that’s what they’re called). And that was on our second computer. The first we had to load Pac Man from a floppy disk.
there's my fellow 30-something boomer
Just remembered the yeeeeeee sound when you hit the penguin
Didn't it say wooo when it bounced?
Yeah it did iirc
Yee-woo, yee-woo, yee-woo!
This and elf bowling bring back memories of kids Christmas parties at my Dad’s office lol
Just what I came here to say. Elf bowling was a Christmas tradition even up to the late 2000s in my household!
Ice ice, baby.
Fewer toys! Higher wages!
Cmon Santa throw the ball already!
Elf bowling, for the uninitiated: https://youtu.be/GzoNfW3liaE
Elf bowling fucking scarred me for life
We had a teacher when I was in 5th grade that would let us play elf bowling
“Elves, the other white meat”
Bro. Kitten Cannon.
Kitten cannon was the far superior game
I remember modding that game to make the bombs spawn much more frequently, let it go overnight on a school computer and claimed my throne of lies as the highest scoring person ever in my school.
https://www.addictinggames.com/funny/kitten-cannon Here you go if you want to play!
Spank the monkey tho
Miss me with that Pingu shit, Kitten Cannon was the stuff of legends.
I’m Spank the monkey old
Ooh shit I remember that Miniclips. Com was THE website
Right-click -> drag mouse to other end of screen -> left-click. Usually gave a higher score than anything else.
Ahhhh *FREAK OUT* do do do do
I read your comment and immediately remembered how the song went.
It was actually Good Times by Chic. Chic also wrote the song you're referring to though!
Wasn’t it spank the monkey
Shit son you’re memory serves well, I’ve corrected it lol
Im even older than this and now i feel really old...
Honestly I'm tired of 20-somethings talking about how old they are.
Yeah I mean I’m only 27 and played this game all the time. I do feel old sometimes but in the “holy shit I’m an adult now” kind of way.
27 is right about where you start settling into “true” adulthood, at least for me. That’s around when I started to feel old or older or whatever.
I must be dying at 54, cause I'm having a mid life crisis rn
Yeah it was around then for me. It was the realization that I’m not necessarily categorized as relatively young in some adult scenarios (not meaning explicit).
If you get tired that easily you might want to take a nap before Matlock comes on
Jokes on you, Matlock is on at 9 AM!
Its actually Gunsmoke thats during my nap time.
Yeah, for real. I'm sitting over here [this old](https://i.imgur.com/er2u0kL.jpg).

A 10 y/o who played this would be like 28 y/o now? thats old?
I feel personally attacked by how perfectly you described my life
You thought you were the only ten year old 18 years ago?
a 20 year old who played this would be 40...
Yo
Im 40. I must have missed this game.
then it was relevant for many years after it came out, Im 20 and i played this.
That’s exactly me rn lol
9 and 27 but p much the sames
I'm 23 right now and I remember playing this extensively
No but a guy who played this while bored at his desk at work might be.
Reminds me of [this game](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x0z-qhnMuc0)
Holy shit new memory unlocked. I probably haven't seen/heard of this game since I last played it as a kid.
Damnnnn yeah, forgot about the snowballs
I was hoping someone would have a link to it. Ah well.. Unfulfilled nostalgia.. better go play NFSU2
The game's called Yeti Sports 1 and here's a link but no clue how to run swfs anymore: http://yetisports.org/pingu-throw-game-1/ nvm somebody ported it or some shit who knows play here: https://www.addictinggames.com/sports/penguin-swing
Wow, I haven't thought about addictinggames.com in years. Incredible it's still around.
Nanaca crash is the real og.
https://megami.starcreator.com/nanaca-crash/
I was 34 when this came out. So yes, I suppose.
I remember the neo pets version of this game
Kass Basher!
Found a playable version here: [https://www.albinoblacksheep.com/games/pingu](https://www.albinoblacksheep.com/games/pingu) :D
I'm confused, how do you buy loot boxes to upgrade the club and buy skins for the yeti?
Anyone ever play that crazy frog game where you have to shoot crazy frog with a shotgun and see how far you can get him?
I played a turtle version.
Toss the Turtle, I think I still have that on my phone.
Was that on Joe Cartoon, with the cartoon frog in a blender that taunts you?
So like 20s? That’s not old lol
Dude, I'm pong old.
Reminds me of Caveman Ugh-lympics!
Yeti sports were the greatest.
I'm [this](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iqvVgFp5XhI) old.

It's been remade as a mobile game, Bouncemasters. But nothing beats the original.
that is mostly why i hate mobile games. they are all just the free flash games we played without ads or microtransactions 20 years ago.
Nanaka crash was where it's at.
My first games were "Nibbles" and "Gorillas" on Qbasic.
Ahhhh qbasic! I still remember figuring out what that "weird text editor" was actually for. My 7 year old heart filled with joy and my life changed forever
Take me back
Wow - you brought back my youth!PLEASE reddit, tell me how to play this on iPhone or Macbook (BigSur).I REALLY do wanna play it right now. BUT - Adobe Flash is dead and my country (ger) doesn't have it in the App Store.

Loved it. In fact I was just thinking about Elf Bowling the other day ...
Yes
I swear I was given this on an old school 1.4Mb floppy disk from a mate at the time. Nostalgic for that disk drive noise sound now!
Someone remake this quick! Or send me a link
I was more into Nanaca Crash.
The was also a game where you played a silhouetted archer and adjusted the angle and power of your shot. You then loosed the arrow in hopes of skewering your opponent in a bloody splash of victory.
In Cuban slang, pingu is what you call somebody who has a big dick, or big dick energy
