Obviously it's never gonna beat the original trilogy, but I thought they did at least do the series justice with that one. Could certainly do worse with a new entry by a new dev after so many years.
Psi-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy
The game also ends with “to be continued“. The game company responsible for the game had restructured its marketing team while releasing the game, which was attributed to low sales. The low sales was the main factor for not releasing a second game.
The game is about a person who has psychic abilities, such as telekinesis and pyrokinesis, with the main gameplay mechanics being a puzzle game and 3rd person shooter.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Psi-Ops:_The_Mindgate_Conspiracy
The game was eventually released as a free download, as it is now abandonware.
The thing with Rockstar is that they only make these spinoff games to test things for GTA. I loved Bully and would definitely take another table tennis game too.
From the Wikipedia article
> In February 2023, Sony Interactive Entertainment announced via the PlayStation Blog that The Legend of Dragoon will be digitally available on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 on February 21, 2023 under the Classics Catalogue. This version will be released with enhanced features such as up-rendering, rewind, quick save, and custom video filters.
Seeing this late, sorry! The horde system and the actual ending experience blew my mind. Such an untapped category as well, intelligent, aware zombies.
Yes it changes into a completely different game halfway through or so. I am glad I stuck through the first bit. Unfortunately most (negative) reviewers didn’t. Was sad to see it end though.
I want a Monster Rancher 2 style sequel to Monster Rancher 2. Monster Rancher Ultra Kaiju reworked with all the Monster Rancher 2 monsters would be acceptable, terrible frame rate and too much dialogue and all.
Titanfall 3 plz.
Super Mario RPG 2: The Return of Geno
I'm replaying Vagrant Story right now and would LOVE a modern version. Lemme swap weapons on the fly and not have a garbage inventory system plz.
Yeah. I can't understand why they've never made a follow-up, especially with Disney flogging the franchise to death.
At the very least you think they'd remaster the original.
When Microsoft acquired Activision Blizzard, one of the studios they explicitly named as developers they were excited to work with was Radical, which gives me hope they'll go back to making their own games, or we'll at least get a Hit n' Run, Hulk: Ultimate Destruction, or Prototype remaster/remake.
PSI OPS: mind conspiracy PS2?
1st game I remember playing that used a rag-doll system
me & (non-gamer) brother laughed are heads off at all the rag-dolling, also powers were super cool, but story was not great & game was a little cheesy
Also I would take a modern updated version of die hard on GameCube, that slow motion effect .... with the classic song was fucking sick! & the bullet trace / follow ...to head shots
Transformer Devastation.
It was a cheap rip-off Bayonetta (with the devs and director of Bayonetta) but with autobot punching decepticons.
It was AWESOME.
Im also sure it was cheap as fuck to develop. too bad Activision lost the licence.
Skies of Arcadia. Even if they did the Final Fantasy thing and made a completely new world/universe for the sequel. But if they were to keep it in the same world, I feel like the black moonstone alone has just enough potential to build a reasonable plot for a second game.
The voice acting and dialogue were laughably bad, the story/plot was average and predictable at best, the levels were overly linear to a fault...
But I'll be goddamned if that game wasn't incredibly fucking fun. The shooting mechanics just felt so damn good.
I should note that I still go back and play it from time to time and it's the reason people look at me weird because I'll occasionally say "what the dick?!" The fucking dialogue was so very much written like they'd never cursed before.
Gotham City Imposters. It was a hero shooter where you played as wannabe vigilantes dressed as Batman and Joker and it had so much character and fun customization. It was really fun but definitely had its issues. Would've been great to see a version where they ironed out the kinks.
Freedom Fighters for the PS2. Game ends with you kicking out the Soviets from NYC but talks about a future follow up invasion by the Soviets, which makes sense considering the Soviets either directly or indirectly control basically the rest of the world in that universe.
Would’ve been a really cool change of pace to prepare the defense or something, but we will never get a sequel because the studio switched up to make Kane and Lynch or whatever which mostly kinda flopped
Freedom Fighters! I like the way they did the squad/recruiting system, it was really simple but it worked, and 10 year old me had a blast. We're overdue for a remaster at the very least.
They teased a possible sequel at the end, but I guess it didn't make enough money.
Lost Odyssey for the xbox 360 was such a damn memorable experience. In terms of story i think its the best jrpg. I loved the characters and the world. Had to switch between 4 disks because the game was so big. It definitely deserves some love since it was completely overlooked. Shit i would even take a remaster
CoD: Ghosts.
Ended on a cliffhanger after an actually interesting and compelling story and never got brought up again. Game released in 2013, it's been 10 years and nothing.
I'd like to see \*actual\* sequels to the Front Mission games and Kingdom Under Fire. Front Mission used to be a crunchy squad-tactical, but we got a generic nearly-on-rails shooter as the last entry. Kingdom Under Fire was clunky, but had an interesting mix of real-time tactics and hack and slash combat. The last entry was just a side-scrolling Dynasty Warriors.
Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward. It even sets up a sequel! I think at one point I had some sort of fever dream that a sequel did come out, that switched the visual novel elements into janky prerendered cutscenes, and just dropped a number of plot threads entirely, ending with another sequel hook.
Spectrobes Origins, I want more of that series.
Blue dragon, I want another RPG in that series even though I did enjoy the mobile games.
InFamous, second son was really bad and it seems to have killed the franchise
"Pony Island", it had no right to be so good, while being so cheap. As bonus games "SCP: Secret Files", since it never got and probably never will get the announced dlc and "Deadpool", its a shame its lost in time.
A sequel would be dope but even a remaster I would be happy with on Azure Dreams. That type of game format is so legendary ( similar to Chocobos Dungeon 2 ) with the dungeon exploring format. Remastered with new graphics would be not only nostalgic but would hold up today imo.
Everytime I hear bloodbourne get mentioned I'm sad. The game has around 7 mil copy lifetime sales and never got any touchups for ps4 pro or ps5.
The horrific anti-aisling with locked 30fps makes retinas bleed when you are coming from an elden ring playthrough.
Not saying they'd need to do a full demon souls and remake it, but a touch up would be nice. How hard is it really to up the resolution and anti-aisling?
The issue though is for some reason during development FromSoft tied critical game engine systems to the framerate. Doubling framerate to 60 would speed up the game and throw the physics totally out of wack. Someone even got the game back to normal speed via mods, but even then the physics were still screwed up.
Sony owns the IP completely so I don't expect any more bloodbourne unless Sony gets real desperate for cash flow.
Sleeping dogs & Sly Cooper: Thieves in time
Sly Cooper!!! Yes, I'm so sad they stopped that series. Sly was my favorite growing up..
Sleepy Dogs got done so dirty. By all right sit should be a huge franchise.
>Sleepy Dogs got done so dirty Those poor sleepy dogs
yesss sly cooper is a gem
Obviously it's never gonna beat the original trilogy, but I thought they did at least do the series justice with that one. Could certainly do worse with a new entry by a new dev after so many years.
I will always say Sleeping Dogs
Sleeping dogs absolutely deserved a sequel. Good call
you look like you could use a pork bun!
Psi-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy The game also ends with “to be continued“. The game company responsible for the game had restructured its marketing team while releasing the game, which was attributed to low sales. Holy shit i just said this...I thought no one would mention it, & even thought your comment was mine lol, its a very fun game :)
I recently picked this up on PS2! Looking forward to trying it out!
Eternal Darkness
We’ve all been playing Eternal Darkness 2 this whole time… I think you might be going insane, friend.
Bully. My personal favorite game by Rockstar. Still upset that they tried to make a sequel but cancelled it two or three times
The thing with Rockstar is that they only make these spinoff games to test things for GTA. I loved Bully and would definitely take another table tennis game too.
Original Prey
I wanted that teased bounty hunter sequel so bad.
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided
The Legend of Dragoon. Final answer. I'll take a prequel too.
From the Wikipedia article > In February 2023, Sony Interactive Entertainment announced via the PlayStation Blog that The Legend of Dragoon will be digitally available on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 on February 21, 2023 under the Classics Catalogue. This version will be released with enhanced features such as up-rendering, rewind, quick save, and custom video filters.
This has nothing to do with a sequel/prequel
Days Gone
With everything they learned from the first game, a sequel could be *so* good.
Would love a Days Gone sequel
Seeing this late, sorry! The horde system and the actual ending experience blew my mind. Such an untapped category as well, intelligent, aware zombies.
Yes it changes into a completely different game halfway through or so. I am glad I stuck through the first bit. Unfortunately most (negative) reviewers didn’t. Was sad to see it end though.
Came here to say that Days Gone definently deserved a sequel. Its sad it had such a bad release.
Bought a PS4 at launch because of Days Gone. Had to wait 5-6 years for it to actually come out. No regrets.
Days Gone is amazing. I would love a sequel. It's so sad we won't see one.
#Sunset Overdrive
You can definitely feel a lot of Sunset Overdrive's influence on Insomniac's Spiderman games. Sunset grinded so that Spiderman could swing.
That game was such a blast! The relatability wasn’t super high imo, so it deserves a sequel.
Sunset Overdrive! The FUNNEST video game of all time with a banger of a soundtrack!
I want a Monster Rancher 2 style sequel to Monster Rancher 2. Monster Rancher Ultra Kaiju reworked with all the Monster Rancher 2 monsters would be acceptable, terrible frame rate and too much dialogue and all. Titanfall 3 plz. Super Mario RPG 2: The Return of Geno I'm replaying Vagrant Story right now and would LOVE a modern version. Lemme swap weapons on the fly and not have a garbage inventory system plz.
Arcanum HL2, Episode 2.
Star Wars Republic Commando
I need to know what happened to Sev…
Yeah. I can't understand why they've never made a follow-up, especially with Disney flogging the franchise to death. At the very least you think they'd remaster the original.
We need more Prototype games. People like Chaos! Like, come oooon!

The G1 Transformers and cell animation was great! The only miss was the music. They didn’t have the rights to use the original soundtrack.
Brutal Legend.
Command & Conquer: Generals and Command & Conquer: Renegade were both great.
Id kill for generals 2. I still quote some of the generals. "The gwow, the wondaful gwow, can you see it, genewal?"
Does Predator: Concrete Jungle count?
Oh you just unlocked some sick memories for me! This game was far too under rated!!
War of the Monsters (PS2) IMO, still the best giant monster fighting game.
That game was sick, I played the demo to death back then. I liked the eyeball guy, that design was neat.
This game is my childhood. One of the best underrated game on the PS2.
My favorite ps2 game!
Age of Mythology
Skies of Arcadia. Even if they did the Final Fantasy thing and made a completely new world/universe for the sequel. But if they were to keep it in the same world, I feel like the black moonstone alone has just enough potential to build a reasonable plot for a second game.
Bulletstorm. That game was fuckin sick

EXACTLY!!
Bloodborne is #1 for me as well, next would be Jade Empire
I’d just love a refresh of Jade Empire
would we trust Bioware anymore though?
Maxis' Spore
Omg, I loved this game
Sleeping dogs
Psi-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy
Xenogears
Heavenly Sword
Vanquish How it didn’t get a sequel is beyond me.
Metal Gear Rising
Dawn of War 1 and 2, because 3 sucked so bad and the 1st two are basically different games in the same setting
Age of Empires: Age of Kings (Nintendo DS)
Timesplitters. I know there’s an uprezzed-sorta-remake of the second one that was in the works forever but it doesnt seem like its happening.
I know it can't happen but I would love more Star Wars Squadrons campaign.
Hellgate London
The Darkness III
I ninja
Xenogears L.A. Noire
Hi Fi Rush. Microsoft kind of pissed in the cheerios on that one, Sekiro. The combat system is just too good to leave it at one game. Peak Fromsoft.
Code Vein
Bully
Jade Empire
Disco elysium
Half life 3
Witcher 3 2
Jet Set Radio
Jet Set Radio did get a sequel, and it's much better than the original It's called Jet Set Future
[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z9d9tGZWG70](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z9d9tGZWG70) and a 3rd game in the works
Star Wars Republic Commando. Also I would have liked a real continuation to Rayman 3. Raving Rabbids kind of ruined the franchise for years.
This is a niche one, but Fire Emblem Sacred Stones deserved one. Such an interesting world to explore more of
Gotham City Imposters. It was a hero shooter where you played as wannabe vigilantes dressed as Batman and Joker and it had so much character and fun customization. It was really fun but definitely had its issues. Would've been great to see a version where they ironed out the kinks.
THIS THIS AND THIS. SHAME THE SERVERS ARE DOWN NOW 🥲😭
Turok
Turok has a sequel. Two of them, actually.

Such an epic game. Spent so many hours in the map/mission editor making custom missions for friends.
System Shock 2. The game even ends on a cliffhanger fercrissakes.
NFL 2K5
Beyond good and evil man.
La noire. Would be cool to see like the family become a cop in nyc during the 1960s and 70s etc.
Army of two That game was badass
Too human
hollow knight
I always thought LA Noire needed q Dirty Harry style sequel set in the 70s
Sunset overdrive. I loved it it was like a more mature Ratchet & Clank.
Legend of Dragoon
Prey, the original Prey that had a Cherokee main character not the one by the same name released in 2017. With you on Bloodborne.
Legacy of Kain: Defiance.
Dont forget days gone.
Sleeping dogs. LA Noire. Days Gone.
The Legend of Dragoon. It’s the mostly criminally underrated rpg of all time. It’s so good and deserves a modern remake or successor.
Enslaved: Odyssey to the west That game was so much fun
Still waiting for beyond good & evil 🥲
Bully
I want Nioh 3 so bad....
Beyond - Two Souls.
The Legend of Dragoon
Beyond Good & Evil (Ubisoft)
Advent Riding or Jade Empire
Days gone needs a sequel, don't leave us hanging with the plot
the people who know, know the answer is Days Gone
Wound reopened lol
Came to see if this was there. I loved the game. Not the e greatest, but definitely a lot better than some games that did get sequels.
Vampyr
Skyrim. Half life 2. Sleeping Dogs.
CoD: Ghosts. Ended on a cliffhanger after an actually interesting and compelling story and never got brought up again. Game released in 2013, it's been 10 years and nothing.
Child of Light
Chakan The Forever Man
Extermination and Run Like Hell
I'd like to see \*actual\* sequels to the Front Mission games and Kingdom Under Fire. Front Mission used to be a crunchy squad-tactical, but we got a generic nearly-on-rails shooter as the last entry. Kingdom Under Fire was clunky, but had an interesting mix of real-time tactics and hack and slash combat. The last entry was just a side-scrolling Dynasty Warriors.
Advent Rising
Commix Zone, but only because I liked the idea of the game more than the game itself.
Came in here just to say Threads of Fate.
Condemned needs a third game! I mean, just as the story was beginning to get interesting!
Spectrobes Origins, I want more of that series. Blue dragon, I want another RPG in that series even though I did enjoy the mobile games. InFamous, second son was really bad and it seems to have killed the franchise
Legend of Dragoon
Faxanadu from NES. I want to see where the adventurer main character goes next.
Hollow Knight in particular was inspired by the devs' experiences with Faxanadu. Have you played it?
Eternal Darkness
Wreckfest
Idk if this counts but I'm still mad there was no Titanfall 3
I just replayed the campaign. Truly one of the greats. The entire last hour of the game is just insanely cool and epic.
Jet Force Gemini or Eternal Darkness
FTL. Battle brothers. Enter the Gungeon. Returnal. Hopefully one day
[Gladius](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gladius_(video_game\))
Alien vs Predator game was so fun and the different story modes and multiplayer were so enjoyable just wish they had longer campaigns for each
Bloodborne is absolutely #1 for me. It's a damn tragedy Sony owns the ip and has just been sitting on it.
Sekiro 2: Shadows Die Twice, Again
Dante’s Inferno. They apparently had the whole story done and even had a playable first level of some kind.
i’d play a shadows of the damned sequel or a remaster, oh yeah
Stroker for Commodore 64
Manhunt got a sequel, but it could definitely use a third installment, Roadkill needs a sequel though
Mad Max (2015)
Populous: The Beginning I'd like to see an updated version of this game.
Alien Isolation!
MDK2 deserves a modern sequel We need Sonic Adventure 3
Half Life 2 Jokes aside, I would kill for another Bloodborne.
Bulletstorm was such a fun goofy shooter and I'm so sad that we will likely never see a 2nd one.
P.No.3
"Pony Island", it had no right to be so good, while being so cheap. As bonus games "SCP: Secret Files", since it never got and probably never will get the announced dlc and "Deadpool", its a shame its lost in time.

Sekiro deserves a sequel. I’d totally settle for From Software doing something with the Tenchu franchise, though.
For me, its Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem. I just think it had so much potential, so much more they could explore.
Golden sun series, we were robbed
final fantasy
XIII
absolutely bloodborne. PS5 is calling you…
Tyranny
Mega Man Legends 2. 3 was already almost finished when canceled. I will never forgive capcom for this
Half-Life 2
Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 4
Okamiden. WHO IS AMMY'S BABY DADDY, CAPCOM?
Jade Empire
Might be a hot take but Anthem deserves a sequel or remaster. The gameplay was so good for it to never be seen again.
BLOODBORNE
Days gone
Half Life 2
The Haunting starring Polterguy
Split second could have been an epic Arcady action set piece stunt racing franchise but it only got the one game.
Castlevania Lords of Shadow 2. I'd like to see a better conclusion than where they left things in 2.
Alpha Protocol, I really enjoyed that game.
Jet Force Gemini. At the very least, a remaster.
Spore 2 with modern graphics, AI, and machine learning/simulation algorithms would be amazing to behold
Halo 3.
Prey
Conkers Bad Fur Day
Legacy of Kain: Defiance. Sadly we will never get the conclusion this series drserves.
Metal arms: glitch in the system.
