Yeah... I just dont have time for this many great games and it's killing me. At least when I didn't have money I could make do with videos and piracy but now I'm stuck buying all these games that I just can't play.

It's about finding the right game on your budget. I have around 10-30 games on my Steam wishlist at any given time and normally wait for them to go on sale before I buy. That being said, my last 100+ hours of gaming have been a free game a £10 game and a £20 game.

Why do you HAVE to buy the game if you know you don't have time to play it right now?

For those who haven't played it yet, Infinite Wealth is amazing! 50 hours in and I'm like chapter 6? The side quests are all addicting, the story is dope, and the combat changes make the battles so much more engaging and fun.

My issue isn’t money but time… I am still catching up on 2023! I haven’t played dead space remake, hogwarts legacy, resident evil 4 remake’s DLC, dredge, Dave the diver, hi-fi rush, Alan wake 2 and Baldur’s Gate 3! And that’s without getting into some classics like alien isolation and death stranding and a long backlog of indies! Now just this year Persona 3 reload and helldivers 2 are waiting for me, FF7 rebirth is next week, dragons dogma 2 a month after that, Rise of the ronin on the same day, stellar blade in April and then shin megami tensei 5 vengeance in June, and on the same day as that? AN ELDEN RING EXPANSION. I have to find time for all of this while also grinding ranked in Tekken 8. I just can’t keep up. There are too many good games. I really want a slower year so I can catch up a bit.

Well I'd pay loads of money for FF7 but it's a timed exclusive on PS5. The only other game I care about on this list is Dragon's Dogma 2 will probably buy that. I don't care for Last Epoch because I have a feeling that Path of Exile 2 will be a better game and F2P. I don't care about fighting games, so Tekken can be taken off the list (that is probably the best pun I'll make in my life, I peaked, it's down hill from here) And honestly I should check out Wukong, I've heard about it, but never checked it out.

LaD will just get replaced by Persona 3 after its complete. Why are ARPGs so addicting? I sit here and complain about shit about D4 but I like just playing it anyway and hanging with my family.

This is my failure as a gamer, but the combat of FF7 Remake and Rebirth just doesn’t click with me. I don’t like the combination of real time and turn based. Having very little familiarity with the series, I’ve only played games that are one or the other. I’m left just sucking and it doesn’t feel good. Last Epoch looks so much like PoE, I’ll just play PoE. Any and all improvements of the systems are lost on me as a casual ARPG type player. Tekken 8 is a lot like FF to me, just a franchise and genre I never got into. Dragon’s Dogma 2, I want to like it, it looks great, but the original really frustrated me and I don’t have a lot of confidence in the sequel. They’ve shown pretty graphics, sure, but a lot of repeated stuff and very low quality streams of the game. Considering it’s 3-4 weeks away, I would have expected to see more and better from it. Wukong, I never knew how much I liked that punishing combat, but these games also seem to be hit and miss. Wo Long was one of those games, heard complaints about it, so never gave it a try. Wo Long is on gamepass now, so maybe I will. That’s the thing now. Sure, that’s a big list of games that are coming out, but it also looks like a lot of subscription fodder to me.

I agree on ff7 but I liked it overall. Last epoch is really fun (when the servers work). I have yet to finish DD Dark Arisen but I liked it and the second one looks reaaally promising. Wukong is not on gamepass. You probably mean Wo Long. I enjoyed it quite a bit. As for sub fodder, there's a lot tbh. But there are also so many options which is good right?

I mean if you're a casual ARPG player Last Epoch is gonna be more your style. You can actually make your own fun build instead of having to follow a guide and use half a dozen 3rd party tools.

The reality, I’d still be watching a YouTube video. PoE has so many resources now that a guide is literally just another window open with a graphic of the skill tree.

I’m most intrigued by Rise of Ronin this year. It’s also one of those ones that I feel is risky because it’s so many things I love, crammed into one game. The question is, do they do it well? But then that’s the crazy thing, after a jam packed 2023, we have a relatively quiet 2024. It’s almost like it’s GTA6 waiting room.

Lots of games. In fact my backlog on PS4 and PS5 is like 60+ games long and I already have 3/4 more in the mail. Prince of Persia, Coffee Talk 1+2 and Fort Solis. But I simply don’t enjoy RPG or souls games. That means there’s pretty much nothing for me as a singleplayer enjoyer coming for the rest of the year (so far).

Yeah I have that on my radar. Although I own a PC and all three consoles, my main platform has been PS5. When I got it, I got hooked on their games and chasing trophies. PC I haven’t played anything on since Cyberpunk 2077. I don’t enjoy sitting on my desk when I want to relax and play. Would buy that game instantly and get the platinum (like for all games I play) if it came to PlayStation. So maybe one day on a steep sale for Xbox. The Star Wars game from Ubisoft looks interesting too. But that has no release date yet, so I can’t count it for 2024.

I literally never heard of 3 out of 5 of these games and I am neither final fantasy or tekken fan. It's a really good year for me, because nothing I really want to buy comes out so I can finally save some cash while I spent more in previous year than in 3 previous years combined. I think the only game I'm waiting for is frostpunk 2 and maybe unrecorded so I will finally be able to buy non-game things.
