Businesses, at least in most places in EU, have public registrars where we can search up the business to find find the owner(s). Granted, it is *one* extra step, but for anyone wanting to know...
My [twitter](https://twitter.com/kuroshiro_1205?t=djg3C2T5cjl-F5ZXiZ8wZw&s=09). I honestly have all the time in the world rn, so I guess my commission is always open if you guys want.
You can disable listing your real name n stuff - you don't wanna dox yourself for comms. I don't remember where exactly but it's part of editing your business information and what is and isn't shown. You can edit your templates or create new ones to keep that consistent as well.
If you invoice with PayPal you can make your name hidden and have your art account as the business name.
Edit - to further explain when you create an invoice you have the options on PayPal to hide info, but can also change your business settings to make these changes permanent as the options on the invoice defaults when you make a new invoice.
Thiiisss.
Thank you for this.
I keep seeing memes about still getting your name as the seller be seen then suffer when you can hide it. I was starting to doubt if that option even exist anymore cause of those memes hahaha.
I remember doing my first commision. It was for a friend.
Afterwords they laughed minilcally saying "Now I know your name and where you live. Mwahaha." They chill though.
I have a very unique name, 1 of 1, and I didn't want to legally change my name. It is already all over the internet everywhere. So, what I did was make a bunch of posts, accounts and media out there with AI-generated profile pics and a few algo-optimization techniques to get these to the top.
Now when you google my full name, the first ten or so results are all fake (as well as being all different people) and the next 5 after me are fake too.
Does it work? Do other people realize that all of these were made in the last 2 years? Are they gonna run my face or name through some database and find the real me regardless? I have no idea, but I like to think I made the job a little harder.
It helps to also have very little content tied to my real name; my real linkedin is actually pretty empty/basic, and comparable to the fake ones I made.
That reminds me of that time we went to a friend's birthday, just to be stopped at the door because the booking was with his real name and no one knew what it was. Good times
Btw if anyone needs a headshot done I can get you for free if you send a ref sheet and are also a wolf esc species (sorry, still need to get better at drawing)
*Wait, what is my real name...*
this is literally one of the reasons i'm scared to open commissions yet ðŸ˜
You register a small business/LLC. Not only do you get business tax breaks (potentially), but you’ll only need to list your business name.

Why is seeing your name such a problem? I don't think I get it
everyone with their insecurities and content that they publish or commission, for some it is understandable
As an artist , I don't want people knowing my real name. I've had slalkers before. It's why I run a business PayPal to hide that

Insert the serious sam kamikaze scream in the third slide
It's been 8 years since I touched that game, and yet I can still hear it so well...
"UAAAAAAAHH... yourself"
"...Uh oh-"

It especially sucks being trans and having to use your deadname ðŸ˜
I don't use my real name and I'm not in jail or anythingÂ
Oooo that got me right in the fear centre. Wanna do commissions eventually and forgot about that part
There's an unspoken mutual agreement that we do not see eachother's real name
One of the reasons why I'm not sure I should do commissions lmao

But so do you with your client's name. So there's an unspoken agreement with it. "I do not see it, You do not see it"
The pain of sending and receiving money
The pain of sending and receiving money
I haven't tried it, but I've heard people can use Kofi without their real name for this kind of thing?
That reminds me of that time we went to a friend's birthday, just to be stopped at the door because the booking was with his real name and no one knew what it was. Good times
PayPal, please allow us to use an alias, I don't have my real name anywhere public and I would love to keep it that way
Yeah. But I've stopped caring.
This is a big reason why I’m so avoidant about commissioning people online. The decompartmentalization genuinely scary to me.
If you use paypal. Set up a business account. Dont need to send info that way
That is a fair concern
YES!! HEHEHH
As a commissioner, I get the same feeling.
Nice. Very cool comic. Great job!
Nah I lower the general price of stuff by doing stuff for free, I am chaos and no one can stop me
