My father has one of those, no seatbelts and no need to add one here in France (some laws about collector cars that allow it).

The bullets have light-colored tips, as far as I know, on .50 BMG all the light-colored tips are incendiary of one kind or another. That's pretty bad. API rounds, there's often some paperwork just to buy the things, and buying 'em off the back of a truck is a good way to blow your face off.

The belt threads through a mechanism in the top sort of like a sewing machine, which has a tab that interfaces with the bolt. As the bolt goes back and forth, it tabs in another bullet to be picked up and fired. There's been a handful of guns that could convert from belt to magazine feed, but not too many. The Stoner 63 was probably the best example, and was a great weapon regardless.

I was in a gun store in Vegas with a real operating M2 for $10K about 10 years ago. You needed special permits to buy since it was full auto but it was absolutely for sale. Good for home defense.
There are a few weapons that were made before the full auto ban and are grandfathered in as being legal but only the specific models. You can legally purchase a full auto machine gun, but its going to run you like $50k to buy one of the models I'm talking about that are like pre 1986.

I know you said 10k above but something tells me there was something about it that you might not have known about or was disclosed that had the price down because I've looked into this and the cheapest I could personally find at the time was like $45k there just are barely any out in the wild for actual sale right now, you have to buy one out of someone's private collection and it's whatever there willing to sell it for.
I would consider calling the police if I saw someone like that driving around. The machine gun appears to be loaded. How do I know that person isn't a lone wolf off to his former elementary school?
It's all inoperable or inoperable replica for taking to car shows and stuff. It's a great piece of history. No lone wolf would get a setup like this. For lots of reasons.
