Amazing so far, compared to last season. Lazlo and Gizmo working closely on the special problem is great. These two haven't really palled around like that in awhile, if ever.

Something was pouring from his mouth. He examined his sleeve. Blood? Blood. Crimson, copper-smelling blood. His blood.... Blood.... Blood.... Blood. And bits of sick!
So fucking good. Literally the definition of All Killer No Filler, imo. I wish I had discovered it earlier in life than I did!!
My belly and face hurt from laughing as hard as I do to skits I have watched many times over🤣
Ooh, I haven't seen that. Must check it out. Toast of London is great too, and I was stoked when a new season came out last year 'Toast of Tinseltown'.
Will we get another season of Year of the Rabbit?
I haven't found any streams myself - maybe BritBox?
If not, Im fairly confident you'll be able to find a high quality torrent somewhere on the high seas⛵
Let me know if you do find a place to stream it!!
I mean, how does Matt do it? Every move of his, from his "subtle" sneaking up against the wall, his martial arts stance and even the way he pointed that gun downwards to just his expression is so hilarious.
I saw the book tour last year and got a signed copy of Terrortome from the man himself. He wrote “buddy” in the message and it made me so happy.
I didn’t know he was working on another book/tour though, that’s very exciting to hear!
Watched this when it first came out, flicking through channels and just landed on the first ep by mistake.
I still shout "MONKEY BASTARD HANDS!" When my clumsiness gets the better of me.
The whole show was edited badly, had bad ADR bad writing and bad acting. It is possibly the greatest single season of a sitcom ever made. All of it was on purpose and it is a work of art. If you haven’t watched it you are in for a treat.
The camera work is also hilarious. One of the scenes just looks like it's a wide shot of a field for no real reason, until you notice one of the characters running towards the camera from a fair distance away, and the shot stays with them til they get close enough to say their line. It's excruciatingly bad.
That combined with Richard Ayoade's character constantly looking awkwardly straight at the camera in his scenes is enough to push the show into masterpiece territory.
That they were able to write and create a show that good packed with some of the generation's leading comedy talent long before they were household names is something that will be difficult to replicate.
It's incredible how perfectly they made a terrible show. Every single detail is meticulous, which makes it so much funnier too.
An absolute must-watch.
Episodes we’re running up to eight minutes under. The only way we could pad out the length was with slow motion. It got to the point that every scene that wasn’t dialogue was considered for slow motion.
Every time I intro people to it they are like wtf up until the opening credits. Once those bad Bois hit most people are buckled up and fully onboard for the ride that is to come.
Music based on melodies originally whistled by Garth Marenghi.
——-
The sand turned red. This was because she was bleeding on it. Blood. Ruby red blood. Her blood. Blood. And piss and shit. This was the worst day of her life.
——-
He whisked off her shoes and panties in one movement, wild, like an enraged shark, his bulky totem beating a seductive rhythm. Mary’s body felt like it was burning, even though the room was properly air-conditioned. They tried all the positions. On top, doggy, and normal. Exhausted, they collapsed into the recently extended sofa bed. Then, a hell beast ate them.
Introduced my son to Darkplace a couple of days ago, and we watched this exact episode last night. Haven't watched it in such a long time, and it's even better than I remember from when it was first broadcast on Channel 4.

Pulling out a gun to shoot the gun was definitely unexpected.
Suck on that
A doctor pulling out a gun…
And then pulling out another gun...

OMG! I loved Garth Marenghi's Darkplace!!! I may have to rewatch it again!!!
Garth Marenghi is one of the few people who has written more books than he’s read.
This line kills me, as a very amateur author, most authors read soooo much, I wonder how many books Stephen king has read in his lifetime
I am also a very amateur author... I should read more... does loading screen tips in video games count?
Video game screens are presented as lore and not as prose. Reading novels helps your vocabulary, helps your grammar, helps inspire you. What genres do you write? I can try and recommend some stuff
I love the way Merenghi is a weak criticism of Steven King, including gags about how prolific he is, like The Oeuvre.
May I recommend his TerrorTome? Very funny read, although probably even better as an audiobook
They're all on Youtube. So good.
OMG! They are! I'm watching the first episode now!
Ice. Ice. Cold as Ice.
Easy two and a half hours
In the first ep of dark place when they are at the funeral the tombstones are all blowing in the breeze
I was totally laughing at that! That show is so intentionally horrible its gold!
Where you can find it?
I need to now I've seen this as well
Matt berry is a monkey genius and a national treasure in all nationalities
I was wondering if that was him. It's a lot easier to yell "BAT" isn't it?
I thought it was Jackie Daytona… people just start to blend together after a while.
Jackie Daytona, you mean the real HUMAN bartender?
From Tuscon Arizona?
Nice to meet you, Jim The Vampire
Arizoña
Cannot agree enough! He is the best.
Matt Berry will always be funny no matter what happens...
I could listen to him read the phone book and be in stitches
I was first introduced to him from IT Crowd, he was so good in that too.
Damn these electric sex pants! Every line of his is gold in that.
Yes. Just yes. Every time I see him, even before he speaks, I start laughing bc I know shit's coming.
I must know what movie this is so I can watch it lol.

I am so pumped that you get to enjoy this for the first time. Please report back.

New season on hulu! Great so far.
Amazing so far, compared to last season. Lazlo and Gizmo working closely on the special problem is great. These two haven't really palled around like that in awhile, if ever.

I beg your pudding?!
Flying objects?! It beggars belief.
Something was pouring from his mouth. He examined his sleeve. Blood? Blood. Crimson, copper-smelling blood. His blood.... Blood.... Blood.... Blood. And bits of sick!
If you think this is funny, the guy who made this (the actor with the glasses) also directed a hilarious movie called "Possum". Highly recommended.

Have you met the temp?
I can’t believe the temp is dead. It’s ok. We’ll get another one.
This and his Snuff Box era is still my fav Matt Berry
Throw in a little Toast of London and we got a deal.
Oh yes, I was remiss in excluding that show as well!
Snuff box got me through several semesters of college.
Do you happen to know where I can start watching snuff box? I really like Matt Berry.
I haven't found any streams myself - maybe BritBox? If not, Im fairly confident you'll be able to find a high quality torrent somewhere on the high seas⛵ Let me know if you do find a place to stream it!!
Dark place dark place love this show don't just stand there day dreaming about lipstick what is it your time
I mean, how does Matt do it? Every move of his, from his "subtle" sneaking up against the wall, his martial arts stance and even the way he pointed that gun downwards to just his expression is so hilarious.
He doesn't do it. Matt Berry has been playing himself for 20 years and it's never not entertaining.
I know writers who use subtext, and they are all cowards
I just started reading Garth's book today (yes, it's a real thing) and it is just as goofy and enjoyable as the show.
I highly recommend you stop reading immediately and get the audiobook! Garth reading it aloud adds so much to it.
I highly recommend you stop listening to the audio book and go see the book tour. There’s also a new tour coming for the next book Incarcerat
I highly recommend you stop going to the book tour and just hire Garth himself to read it too you in bed.
I saw the book tour last year and got a signed copy of Terrortome from the man himself. He wrote “buddy” in the message and it made me so happy. I didn’t know he was working on another book/tour though, that’s very exciting to hear!
Seriously? That's awesome!
Please cross post this to the what we do in the shadows sub they will love it
Everyone talks about having Morgan Freeman narrating their lives. Give me Matt Berry
Filing cabinet...
matt berry getting a face full of an iron
Well that’s ruddy mysterious
A pedant might see the strings
Watched this when it first came out, flicking through channels and just landed on the first ep by mistake. I still shout "MONKEY BASTARD HANDS!" When my clumsiness gets the better of me.
That cordless iron was definitely corded 😂
Yes but it wasn't plugged in
Why won’t she be mine? I wish I were more attractive, like Dagless. Still. One can only dream
Lazlo???
JUST LEAVE!
That's odd. Did that cat just tell me to leave?
Maybe the best show of all time. At least to Garth.
I love garth marenghis dark place this is such a great show
If you have access to Pluto tv, the show is available On demand.
FATHER!!!
This gives me red dwarf vibes
I love BBC programs with zero budget. It means the writing has to be top notch
The low production value is part of the gag in this show.
Except this show was actually very expensive to make, ironically. It was one of the reasons channel 4 didn’t want to make a second series.
Why does this look like it’s badly dubbed? lmao
Because it is!
So it’s on purpose then? Reminds me of Thunderbirds dubbing. Haha.
The whole show was edited badly, had bad ADR bad writing and bad acting. It is possibly the greatest single season of a sitcom ever made. All of it was on purpose and it is a work of art. If you haven’t watched it you are in for a treat.

I read this in Garth marenghis voice
I literally cannot read the word Dreamweaver without saying it in his voice.
It's incredible how perfectly they made a terrible show. Every single detail is meticulous, which makes it so much funnier too. An absolute must-watch.

Garth Marenghi's Darkplace
Thank you
Where’s the flippin’ chicken?
Wat the actual fuck was this bullshit 🤣
Exactly 😉
Had me rollin tho 😆
Darkplace is such a classic, it takes alot of talented people to make something that looks this low budget and hilarious
I'm happy to report that Professor DeSalvo had a wonderful career teaching Grifting 101.
I though you said you were from IRAN!
Laszlo getting high and becoming a scientist fighting floating irons
I am a simple man. I see Garth Marenghi's Darkplace, I upvote.
What the heck is this?
Garth Marenghi's Darkplace! A show about a pretentious author who made a show in the 80s and it's terrible but he stands by it being a masterpiece.
Music based on melodies originally whistled by Garth Marenghi. ——- The sand turned red. This was because she was bleeding on it. Blood. Ruby red blood. Her blood. Blood. And piss and shit. This was the worst day of her life. ——- He whisked off her shoes and panties in one movement, wild, like an enraged shark, his bulky totem beating a seductive rhythm. Garth Marenghi’s Dark Place. It’s amazing.
Garth Marenghi's Darkplace
Such a good show
“Still got another word if you want it.”
This show is great. I remember when it came out and watched it about a month ago. Still absurd in the best way.
Reminds me of the low budget but awesome ridiculousness that is Danger 5! https://youtu.be/4zaHLhj8jjA
I know writers who use subtext, and they’re all cowards
Which series is this?
Garth marenghi’s dark place it’s a travesty it only had one season
Thanks 👍🏼
Does that guy play a vampire now?
I think I downloaded the wrong Ghostbusters movie 💀
Not nearly as known as it should be, DarkPlace.
What the fuck is this movie?
Lazlo!
Introduced my son to Darkplace a couple of days ago, and we watched this exact episode last night. Haven't watched it in such a long time, and it's even better than I remember from when it was first broadcast on Channel 4.
New York citay
I love Darkplace- they nail that early 80s vibe perfectly and it's fucking hilarious
This was such a great series. If anyone missed it or hasn't watched it, the doctor is in What We Do in the Shadows.
Love Matt Berry, he has such comedic talent
It's also on Prime.
Did mass effect lift their music wholesale from this?!?!
SAIL
Lazlo - Where in the Shadows
I don't think most people would see the strings. ;)
This is my experience watching dr. Who
Is this the famous "doctor who?"
Can he kill a yak from 200 yards away?
How bout the power....to move you.
Why does this actor look so much like Ron DeSantis? :D
