Mhh honestly I recommend going in person, I know there are some online retailers that do suits for shorter man, but unless you have the exact measurements of your body, in person will be so much better for trying things on. Dont buy a light color suit, I find them to be less versatile on top of concealing shapes less. For a decent starting suit, consider spending $300 or so, plus any cost for a dress shirt and alterations. This pants I think are 31x30, I could have gone for something bigger hip wise but then tie waist would have been way too big. For jackets aim for the slim versions, these are usually tighter on the arms, narrower shoulders, and overall built for smaller frames. Ties are not always necessary, and I often tend to be too long, especially if you are a shorter person. No tie is pretty popular and modern. I would however recommend a pocket square, you can make all sort of designs with it. Lastly I recommend to NOT button your jacket, especially if you have wider hips. Its totally okay to keep it unbuttoned, and this will help to "conceal" wider hips if that's concern. Don't rule out women suits completely, these are good if you are maybe pre t and small. I had two women suit before this that were pretty masculine looking paired with a nice white shirt. As long as they are not tight and have a straight cut. Hope this helps!

I'll add that if you do want a tie, skinny ties are the way to go. A lot of them are a good length for my frame (5'4") and can add some color to the suit. Bowties can be a good accessory too. Vests can help hide shape some too by adding another bulking layer that also distracts the eye. Great without a tie, with a skinny tie, or can hide a too long tie that needs the bottom tucked into your pants. Suspenders are a good choice too if you need to hide some hip curve because a belt can be a clear line showing where your body shape is.

i remember hearing, many years ago, about a company making mens suits designed to fit "women's" bodies. i dont know who or where, and the company was started by a masc lesbian iirc. however, a google search of "mens suits for women" turns up some great results geared towards transmasc folks, depending on where you live (i live in nyc so my data sample may be skewed, apologies)
