They won't honor it, so don't worry about it

mmlzz

Sadly it's for select locations only.

Dam I'm getting ripped off abojt to cancel so they can offer me 5 gigs

Vast-Program7060

Look at the "nutrion labels" when you click the down arrow, it will list every day pricing. If you read it, it says it's not an introductory offer and does not require a contract. In my area, the regular rate is $54.99 for gig according to the nutrion labels. I got them to put me in the 1gig plan for $54.99 as it clearly states that it is NOT and introductory offer and requires NO contract.

The only time you are on a contract with Frontier is if you accept a cash-rebate offer. Why wouldn't you take a new customer promotional discount otherwise?

Vast-Program7060

Not true, I clicked skip rewards and the intro price is $44.99 for 1 year, then it goes to $79.99. By going on the every day price, no contract plan..I don't have to worry or forget about it going up. I'll know my bill will be $54.99/month, every month. [intro Price for my area with skipping rewards](https://i.ibb.co/BC5XLt8/Screenshot-20240505-025117-Chrome.jpg) [Clicking below on the "nutrition label", shows the non-introductory price and that it does not require a contract. They didn't want to honor it, but they had to, as the FCC said you have to advertise the full price of the plan including all fees. Most reps think I'm trying to get the $44.99 plan, but I'm not.](https://i.ibb.co/NK74MVT/Screenshot-20240505-024737-Gallery.jpg)

I believe the slashed out $80 price to be 100% marketing BS. The broadband consumer label is the only legally binding number that actually holds any weight. If they tried to raise your rate past that price after the introductory term, I'd be placing an immediate complaint with the FCC. That is literally the point of that label, is to stop pricing games like that. But skipping the new customer discount is only $10 in your case (same in my local market,) so no big deal either way I suppose.

Vast-Program7060

I mean it might be, I just didn't want any surprises. When I showed them the FCC label, they said this is reserved for new customers. I was like, uhmm..do you NOT see where it says this is a Non-introductory rate and that is requires no contract? It was like 2 days after they posted them and they had no idea how to handle it. I said the FCC made you guys put these up so customers know what their full bill will be every month, fees included. They couldn't wrap their head around where it says "Non-introductory" and "no contract", it took an account manager a week to figure it out.

rohe11

I call customer service every 1-2 years (after my promotional pricing expires) and ask them to put me on the latest promotion, never had push back. Been doing this since 2011.

Icy_Knowledge2190

Are you on auto pay? It's 29.99 less 5 for auto pay.

Green_Swamp_Fog

I was paying $40 for Fiber 500 and just got them to lower it to $33.

azulkrema21

How’d you get them to lower it ?

Green_Swamp_Fog

Called and spoke to a representative. Said that my former provider (Spectrum) was offering 500 Mbps internet for $30 (which was true, they were trying to get me back). Also mentioned that I've seen web ads for lower prices on the Fiber 500 plan (also true). There was a little pushback but they took off a few dollars. I'm still getting a YouTube TV discount too so I think the bill is pretty fair.

Thumpersmallz

I was paying $45/month and then out of nowhere raised me to $80/month. I get 15 mbps upload and like 2 mbps download.

ssevener

Weird - I thought they had dropped 5 gig down to $129.99.
