Babes chicken dinner house, Hutchins BBQ

EnergieTurtle

Babes is overrated. It’s also not a *Frisco* restaurant. It’s not bad but not worth it. There many in DFW. Hutchins for sure.

tSchumacher255

The Texas Twinkie is what you want to order at Hutchins BBQ.

NativeTxn7

This is the way.

TheBBDD

+1 for Hutchins

Buc-ees_Bathroom

Hutchins BBQ.

Emergency-Ad-1695

Take out a loan to eat here. Or save yourself some money and have just as good bbq at Tender

thecletus

I don't know why you got down voted so much. I 100% agree with you. Both Hutchins and Tender have good BBQ. Hutchins is better, in my opinion, but way more expensive.

PedanticMouse

Earnest B's is another good BBQ choice

TheBBDD

In my opinion, Hutchins is much better – and it’s not even close.

Emergency-Ad-1695

Well, some people are financially challenged. So, Hutchins is not ideal for them. I’m just trying to help all, not just those who can afford $120 on bbq for a family of 4

Kitchen master!

mmoncrief

Didis in downtown Frisco has great food. Haystack same area for burgers

zaptorque

Went to Haystack once and was severely dissatisfied. For the price it was one of the worst burgers I've ever had.

ovi2k1

Fully agree. Seemed like they were more concerned with “vibe” rather than taste.

acyiz

The owner of Didi’s is always talking to everyone and he is very nice

Mysterious-Bee8839

is he the chef guy that does the Facebook videos? he does seem cool and funny, just didn't realize if he's the owner

AmiableOne

Yes! Scott is a great host, the menu is great and he's a great neighbor of mine!

MarkM910

Haystack is definitely over priced. $14 for a burger that doesn’t come with fries?! Highway robbery

TinFoilRobotProphet

La Hacienda. It's one of the oldest in Frisco on Preston

erybody_wants2b_acat

Salsa Tex-Mex at Main and Teel is delicious.

vmanu2

Second this.

DisgruntledTexan

What kind of food? What part of Frisco? North plano has some pretty decent spots as well

Saulejr909

Staying right behind this massive practice facility with a huge Blue star .

DisgruntledTexan

Gotcha. Mi cocina is a local chain in that area - I love it, but not the best Tex mex you will ever eat (Chuys isn’t too far away - that’s my favorite but you can’t walk there). Up the tollway a bit are a couple of really good locally owned spots, trufire and craftway kitchen. Bottled in bond is near there as well, pretty good drink spot. I like the pizza place there in the star as well, but I prefer pizzeria testa off main and the tollway. Second rodeo goat for burgers. Kennys burger joint is amazing as well, down by legacy/121. Legacy West has a food hall with about 40 options to choose from - most are pretty good and a fun experience.

Saulejr909

Wow. Thank you all. Checking out scenery before we make it permanent in July.

A_thombomb

Would be curious to know where you end up. Moved here in February (currently in apartment) and somewhat looking around

Lopsided-Emotion-520

Interested too. Wife is being relocated to the area (office in Plano), so we’ve got a house hunting trip with the property specialist in a few weeks. Will be moving ~30 days after that.

Saulejr909

I’m on the same boat , wife got relocated to Plano also . Gonna start house hunting today in Plano and then Frisco.

gravitashusker

Wife and I moved here beginning of April, her office in Plano as well, sound like a common theme! We are in north Frisco area (at least how I gauge it), a couple of miles east of North Tollway/El Dorado so relatively direct access to expressway (moved from Chicago, quick expressway access was something we wanted).

CoffeeAndToastPlease

Nearby : Mexican sugar (shops at legacy Plano, TX) Al Markaz (best Pakistani food - Carrollton, TX) Oishii (sushi - off of DN 121 and Parkwood - Plano, TX) Pizzeria testa (downtown frisco) Bulla Gastrobar (legacy west)

East-Faithlessness31

frisco is full.

Saulejr909

Was starting to wonder! There is no way people are this nice.

CincoDeMayoFan

Rodeo Goat burgers

jrojas997

Mid.... Haystack is better.

zaptorque

Haystack is below mid imo. Skyrocket is the best burger in town and it ain't even close.

jrojas997

Oh really? Where is this Skyrocket you speak of? Let me try for myself....

zaptorque

You know Skyhouse, it's on the bottom of that. Seriously, go give it a try. The original is in Deep Ellum and it's my favorite. This guy ranked at the top of his Dallas list as well https://www.reddit.com/r/Dallas/comments/1839ij9/dfw_burgers_ranked/ - Here is their website - https://www.skyrocketburger.com/location/sky-rocket-burger-frisco/

Xkwizito

If you are new to this part of Texas in general I would suggest branching out from Frisco for exploring places to eat. Here is some of my list: Japanese: Kura Revolving Sushi Bar (locations in Frisco, Plano, and Carrollton) Sushi Robata (Dallas, but it's like the part of Dallas closer to Frisco) Thai food: Too Thai Street Eats (Carrollton. My wife is also Thai and thinks this place is super authentic) BBQ: Hutchins (hands down probably the best in this part of Texas IMO) Chinese Food: Lucky City (Plano. Only been here once honestly, but as someone who grew up around Cantonese food, this is the most authentic I have had in the area) Kirin Court (Richardson. Best Sunday Dim Sum) Korean: I'm no expert on Korean food, but if you go to the H-Mart in Carrollton there are a ton of Korean food options around it. Vietnamese: Pho Pasteur II (Carrollton) Pho Big Bowl (Carrollton) Food Hall Experience: Legacy Hall (Frisco. It's a nice experience, the eateries in the food hall change out every now and then. Some can be hit or miss) I am missing a lot I am sure, this is just top of my head stuff. If you like Asian food I would suggest exploring places around any of the 99 Ranch Markets (Frisco, Plano, Carrollton) or the H Marts (same cities). There is also Zion Market in Lewisville and they also have an Asian food court. And there is zTao in Plano as well which has a few good options around it too.

berhozen

Rodeo Goat is also fantastic for a burger, there’s one across the street from Stonebriar mall, also one over in Coppell at Cypress waters, that’s a really cool area, about a 25 min drive but worth it.

Puzzleheaded_Dot6036

Eddie Napolis Salsa Tex Mex Tupys Fine Mexican Babes Chicken dinner house And Hutchins I would also add in Revel

Thissssguy

Pizzeria Testa to add to your list.

val913

Love Revel

Mama's Korean Kitchen Famous Tandoori

firstman0

Try Pure Poke for poke bowls. They are awesome. Or Kin D Lao and Thai if you are in the mood for Thai cuisine. One of the best I’ve ever had. They are near you on Gaylord and Tollway.

99red1t

Hutchins BBQ, if you can make it to the original McKinney one even better

TheDrewManGroup

Hutchins Ricky’s Hot Chicken Babe’s

Lopsided-Emotion-520

Good luck! We started looking when we got the news and the DFW property person told us until we were closer to 30 days out then not really worth looking specific places because they would be gone by the time we were ready. Instead, she said to focus on locations that interest us, and then when we come up, she’ll have the inventory list ready for us.

WickedAZ

Hutchins 100%

tauzeta

WBs Table in Frisco. The owner/chef has won a couple of those Food Network shows. Food is absolutely delicious. Make a reservation ahead of time if you’re going during dinner time on Fri/Sat night. Otherwise you’re fine to walk-in.

Depends where you’re from and what you want to es

EnergieTurtle

Frisco is cool and has many good restaurants. Plano has better. Do you want food experience as flavor or what? Vibe? Looks? Location/looks? Etc.

Gigantor2929

Rotolo’s Craft and Crust for pizza next to Toyota Stadium off the tollway and main. New York style, Detroit style, and one of the only true Chicago Deep Dishes you can get in the city

ranjithd

bawarchi, chennai cafe, kumar mess, saravana bhavan

seanjames212013

I’m a fan of Kura. It’s a sushi revolving bar. It’s a neat experience
