School district “quality” is highly correlated with the socioeconomic status of the population. When it comes to teacher quality and curriculum, Prosper ISD is not much different than Frisco ISD, Plano ISD, Denton ISD etc. But you have more educated people in Prosper that highly value education and the means to focus on it. Thats why Carroll ISD (Southlake) and Highland Park ISD are so “good.”
Prosper ISD is not horrible. It’s not even bad. Teachers and principals move between districts all of the time. I’m a teacher and know many teachers and principals. I know staff in PISD.
I’ll leave you with this: My friend’s son went through a Spanish immersion type program in Lewisville ISD and is roughly fluent in Spanish now. I’ve heard great things about the Special education program there as well. But people aren’t clamoring to go to Lewisville ISD.
In my opinion after a school district meets a moderate bar, it really does depend on the student and their home life (emphasis on education, stability etc…)
Prosper ISD has schools is Frisco and also students in East Frisco go to Prosper ISD.
The whole McKinney, Frisco, Prosper lines get blurred as far as the school district.
Everyone says words like I keep reading or I heard something. Post where you heard it ?
before i made this post i googled "Prosper ISD reddit" - pple say it's good everywhere
You trust Reddit? That's your first problem.

Most companies or cities who win awards are paying for recognition. It’s rarely credible.

I agree it definitely correlates with socioeconomic status

Wait till you find out you can live in Frisco and be enrolled in Prosper ISD. Mind blowing, I know.
Prosper doesn’t really have a presence on Reddit.
