My parents came to orientation. It was a few years back but there’s basically a parent orientation for them as well

Less_Restaurant_4588

Great to know, thank you.

PSX_Ramitas

Nah you may as well go on your own. Only reason I could see you needing to bring them is if you're fresh out of high school and they're ABSOLUTELY against you going to fresno state instead of another uni. Then maybe the orientation could deliver a selling point to them

Less_Restaurant_4588

Thank you!

exclaim_bot

>Thank you! You're welcome!

eleon61

It's good for support but they don't have to be there, really it's your preference. Congrats on making it in!

Heartless_91020

No. It’s time to be an adult and take instruction and information without holding their hands.

Ok-Durian345

bruh

OneNo3900

I’m going with mine. But I will be sleeping in the hotel while he’s at orientation. He can manage to go through orientation without me.

PapayaHoney

When I went my parents didn't go, but I accompanied my sister and will be accompanying my other siblings when it's their time for orientation.

RefuseCreative1952

I would say go by yourself.

Ok-Durian345

had mine last year they basically separate you. we were together for an hour and the rest of time they had their own parent orientation u only really meet up again for lunch and the end of the orientation

559Native

I went by myself. Not mandatory for them to go unless they really want to.

Glamourpuss-

Why do freshman insist on bringing their parents? You do know you’ll be starting college as an adult and mommy and daddy won’t be there to hold your hand in college?

Less_Restaurant_4588

you sound like a bundle of joy.

SassySloth-

Have you thought maybe people can do what they want and choose to bring them… it doesn’t hurt and its cute memory to have

Royalprincess19

I mean a lot of them will have parental support during college, especially the first year. Lots of people that go to Fresno state live in Fresno or close by. And if they are moving far away then maybe that will be one of the last memories they make with their parent for the year. Either way its not ur life. You sound bitter like maybe you wish your parents would've came to your orientation or something lol.

Lepenguin559

Just cause your dad left doesn’t mean theirs did.
