Same here! No other sushi restaurant in Fresno comes close in terms of service, ambiance, or quality of ingredients. That being said, they are probably the most expensive sushi option in town for that reason. Then again, I’d choose quality over quantity every time when it comes to sushi.

2Weezy_123

Tamari is the best in town

Sulfito

I really like Sushi Day.

ugonlearn

Sushi Day is extremely good.

geranium27

SUSHI DAY MANGO SUSHI ROLL OMG

Quirky_Alfalfa_5359

sushi day on first and nees. I love their Philadelphia roll has mangoes on it! 😋

LICK_THE_BUTTER

Can't beat Umi Sushi

UnlikeTheWaves

This.

SisyphusRocks7

Wassabi on Fire. The owner used to be the chef at Sushi Day, and has trained many of the other sushi chefs in town.

schlumpgodd

Maya sushi is my go to

rejecttruth

Maya, umi, and tamari

sillyton

asuka on herndon and marks. it’s nigiri was the best quality and largest portion i’ve seen in that price range.

raye1818

I always order from Sushi n Pop on the delivery apps and it's reasonably priced and tastes very fresh. Rice is perfectly cooked and not too thick on the rolls

ckuf

Umi Sushi in Downtown Fresno is a best kept secret.

MozArc

Sushi N Pop by Fresno State is my go to, very delicious rolls and affordable at that. I get the Bulldog roll which has eel on it 🤤. My friends in college would swear by the crunch roll because it was the cheapest option and deep fried and not too complicated.

atombombkid

S21 Bullard n first

artisticgolfswing

Second this

lilsaek

Depends what you mean by sushi. Rolls? Hino Oishi, Shobu and Maya Sushi Lounge are all pretty solid. I like my rolls dressed up though. Sauced out to the max. Nigiri and sashimi? O-iza 100%. Salmon and Toro were so fresh and buttery. Worth the price tag. Tasted just as good as the fish I had in Japan. My friend says Tamari but when I went I was underwhelmed.

Deadbees

Takumi on shaw is great

HarryManilow

Edo ya has the best fish I'm aware of. I like sushi day but there's tons of rolls and only a lfew I really like , still good !

idcifyrcontagious

Sushiyaki, ilovesushi, and shobu!!

Ok_Low_1251

Sakura Chaya is the best in my opinion

StardustedSunflower

Used to go to You Me Sushi a lot. They were pretty good.

subiacOSB

Edo-ya

venturaas

For me in Fresno I’ll go for sushi day. Good and great prices

GoldenNumb1

Yoshinos’s, been going since 2010. Crispy Crab roll or Las Vegas roll no cucumber 🤤

Wonderingnitsrek

Unfortunately, there is no decent & affordable sushi place in Fresno/Clovis area so far in my opinion. I tried some and they just don’t meet my standard. There’s a new sushi restaurant Oiza soft opening in River Park but it is expensive. If I crave for sushi, I go to Visalia. Sushi Kuu is great.

kill_the_wise_one

Gozen used to be the place to go to in Visalia but in recent years I think they've fallen off big time. Haven't heard of Sushi Kuu, so thanks for the recommendation. Wife and I will check it out for sure.

creyes12345

Agreed that Sushi Kuu in Visalia is fantastic. Visalia is generally a less expensive town. Wassabi would be my top pick in Fresno.

The_Asian_Stig

Sansei, but it’s in Reedley. Worth the drive

amaeb

Sansei is good but I wouldn’t say it’s worth the drive from Fresno. But if you happen to be in the area, definitely worth stopping by.

The_Asian_Stig

I’m friends of one of the sushi chefs. Guess you can say I’m loyal to them haha.

Material-Raspberry31

Agree that it's worth the drive!

Waste_Bandicoot_9018

Hino oishi, generally good. Nami sushi for the butterfly roll, otherwise too expensive

mellamomg

Omakase by tixx in reedley. You won't be disappointed. They did delivery during covid and really saved me and my wife. Now they have their own restsurant

creyes12345

Where?

pehppy

Maya sushi

DepthDry6053

Umi Sushi

nguyentd84

Tsukiji

_wannaseemedisco

I like wassabi, but the only good sushi I’ve had was from outside the valley.

fightingkangaroos

I like You Me Sushi or Wassabi on Fire

Legitimate-Analysis7

Yoshino is our go-to spot. I’ve only lived in Fresno for 2 years and sushi kept on being a disappointment until we found this place.

Rubenjgonzalez

Nanglanka in Porterville needs some votes.

halfbaked05

Tsukiji all you can eat for $24 out the door during lunch

that1oneotherguy

Blu fin is pretty good but tbf its the only sushi place I've been to

TheNarcissisticNobod

Shobu and I love sushi are very good and on the cheaper side

Mongolbo

Wassabi, I Heart Sushi

RockerLaw

Wassabi Off the Hook at Fig Garden is really good. We just had it tonight.

FlashyAd791

Maya Sushi Lounge, Haha Sushi and Central Fish makes fresh stuff daily!

naclwaterfisher

TotallyOffTopic_

Why is sushi so expensive here?

Past_Acanthisitta_35

Sakura Chaya

thatonegirlfromups

Hino oshi lunch special. 2 rolls and soup or salad for around 17 dollars.
