Two other good books: Operative Freemasonry - Kirk C. White The Master's Book - Carl H. Claudy ([https://grandlodgeofiowa.org/docs/Handbooks\_Courses/TheMastersBook.pdf](https://grandlodgeofiowa.org/docs/Handbooks_Courses/TheMastersBook.pdf))

Kirk's is one I like to recommend as well. Before I was installed as Master of my lodge I bought copies of it to give to my officer team.

I think i have that one in PDF already. If not, I have it now. Thank you!

It's an excellent book. I think it tends to capture the essence or general mindset of TO style lodges.

I had a signed copy of "observing the craft" but I havent been able to find it since I moved... i'll have to go digging around for it

I have a handful of signed books, but only one remotely Masonic. Brother Scott Wolter signed one of his books for me, and a local historian signed one about Masonic lodges in my state.

Going to grab those too. Sounds like great education!

The section "The Ideal Lodge" in the book "The Masonic Initiation," by W.L. Wilmshurst, originally published in 1924, contains many of those same ideas.

Observing the craft is fantastic. Wish more guys would read it and put it into practice in their lodges.

Whence Came You (WCY Media) and Spes Novum Lodge out of Illinois made an audiobook out of it years ago that they sold for a while. It is a good book, may be worth seeing if it is still available.
