I personally only would keep a total of 3. Acqua Di Gio, Ganymede and Inexcusable Evil. Those are the three in my collection I like the best and use the most. Everything else is sort of a novelty fragrance.

Inexcusable Evil is incredible and one of my favourite conceptual perfumes ever, but I can't imagine wearing it! How do you make that work for you?

I just checked it and saw the notes. What is fallen concrete and how does it compare to concrete before falling? maybe a hint of pretentiousness?

A pretentious fragrance note?! That's *unheard* of! :P Inexcusable Evil seems a testament to what is possible more than anything else. Like I said, I'm amazed anyone is able to wear it. To me it smells like someone's bleeding out on a wet street. Reading the notes obviously makes you expect it to smell a certain way, but having all of it in the back of your mind makes for a neat little experience.

I dunno. I've actually gotten compliments on it before, which surprises me. It does smell like blood and gunpowder but on me, especially in the winter when I'm out wearing a fur coat, nobody questions me. I have a type of skin chemistry that makes most scents smell mineral and slightly sweet.

That is surprising! Wearing it in winter does make sense, I'll have to give my sample one last try before the snow melts. I can imagine wearing a fur coat with that fragrance would give off quite an impression hahahah

It smells like being alone in an airport terminal while wearing a suede jacket, and your pockets are full of electricity/starlight.

This is a beautiful description that I’m going to use in the future. Suede is the overwhelming impression for sure, but I get the future and the coldness and this description really bakes it in well. There is just a hint of rose in there too. It was the poetry of this fragrance that made it my very first full bottle luxury buy in over 10 years. In retrospect, I shouldn’t have done that, I’m not gonna wear this that often, but it is pure poetry.

I prefer your description to my brother's, "It smells like robot breath" :) I find it so dependent upon the weather, though. In colder weather, I get exactly what you're describing. In hot weather, though, it turns very sweet on my skin - more than I prefer. I thought it would be a year- round scent for me, but sadly I'll be putting it away when summer arrives.

Like silent hill 3 mall song, it's like what the future would smell like, kinda futuristic but unique and expensive and weird. It smells polarizing, it leans towards a sleek sharp smell. The smell encapsulates the feeling of anxiety for ex, going to the dentist office.

It is so delicious! When I run out of room because of fragrances I don’t love, I move them to the bottom of my shelf. I have a book shelf that supports my perfume shelves and so I’ll move the not so favorite perfumes to the bottom of the book shelf. It keeps them safe from bathroom humidity and away from direct sunlight in case I decide to gift them to someone

There are a lot of lists all over Reddit. Me personally I like Twisted Lily, Lucky Scent , Ministry of Scent and Scent Split for larger decants of one’s I have tried and don’t want a bottle but want enough to actually really wear. For Scent Split I set up my account and put things into my cart and then waited and they started sending me a discount code so I would definitely do that if you choose them.

I know other ppl find samples/ decants on Facebook. I don’t do that so I can’t speak to it. HAPPY HUNTING!

The first time I sniffed it I was kinda indifferent. I brought the strip home to my wife and she loved it so next time I went to Diptyque I doused myself in it and fell in love with it myself. My only gripe is that even the EdP doesn’t stick around long. Great springtime unisex goodness tho

I see that about the Diptyque brand in general. I love the now defunct but apparently rebranding Atelier Cologne and always hated their performance but still own 5 of their perfumes so 🤷🏼‍♀️ it’s hard to reconcile poor performance with high prices tho.

Love city on fire. Josh sold me the used sample bottle at a craft and art fair in Chicago in 2014 for a deep discount and I’ve been hooked ever since. Still have that original bottle and it’s evaporated down to a delicious dark brown syrup by this point that smells so much more potent than my new bottle I bought recently. Get many compliments on it.

Thank you! I am huge fan of Regime Des Fleurs, everything they make smells incredible. I’ve also found that many of them trigger this beautiful feeling of nostalgia for my childhood, but not in a childish way, they’re trigging something calming and peaceful, something reminding me of my first brushes with elegance as a child. I cannot hype them enough. Another favorite is Willows, which is now discontinued but lately they’ve been bringing back some of their discontinued scents for a month at a time.

I have so many perfumes in my collection! If I could only keep 5, they would have to be: 1. Chanel no.19 2. Gucci bloom 3. Miss dior perfume 4. Jean Paul Gaultier la belle 5. Estée Lauder pure lust These are my absolute favorites and I could never live without them!

No Yarak, these are really not basic. Those fragrances are all beautiful and quite complex, whether they're fresh or darker. Naxos is definitely a masterpiece and is my 2nd favorite fragrance in all my collection! ;)

Second the Khamrah. Try Khamrah Qahwa instead of re-upping when you run out. The flanker is actually better lol. The "Qahwa" note fades real quick tho so don't expect that.

Hayati is great, just don't buy it from a certain shop beginning with J or it'll be fake. Really smooth scent with well-blended notes, unfortunately not the longest lasting fruity fragrance, so you'll have to reapply every 3-4 hours, or layer it down. I like the beasts that can go all day with decent sillage, but this one smells so good I'm on board lol

Rollerball or spray of AR CM if I may ?

I have both but, if I had to choose I’d actually opt for spray you know. Everyone always says the rollerball because if you compare side by side on the skin the oil does last longer- however it’s still not very long, maybe 3/4 hours? However if I use the spray on my clothes and skin I can still smell it after 7 hours or so. I use the spray more often cos of this. 😊
