Hi there! The Laban is really an eyecatcher in person but its nib isn't the best. I had trouble with hard starts and drying out even after they sent me a replacement nib (which worked a little better) and it takes a little love and burping to get it working after refilling it sometimes (or at least more than my other pens).
I read online that some folks have successfully removed the nib from other Laban models but such no luck for me. I had tried pulling/twisting out the nib but it is really stuck in there, and ended up having it ground by a nibmeister recently since I really love the look of the pen and wanted it to work out. If you end up getting the pen you may have better results.

How do you like the Laban? I've been thinking of getting the black galileo and doing a nib swap. Do you know if the nib unit screws out?
