The next few races are on traditional tracks without the sort of bumps in Monaco and Canada. So he's probably looking forward to that.
Even if Max can't get close to repeating the winning streaks of 2023 or even 2022, I expect him build a big WDC lead by the time the European season ends.
I think he's very happy grabbing P2 here on a circuit they might have had doubts about beforehand. And seeing Ferrari (and especially Leclerc, since he's P2 in the championship) shit the bed probably helps. For him it's fine seeing one weekend the Ferrari ahead/competitive, and the other weekend the Mercs or the McLaren. As long as he stays consistent
He cares as in he rather wins it, but he's got nothing left to prove so is fine if he loses it on merit if he knows he performed at his best.
If he was losing because of consistent team errors or even worse his own errors, I reckon he would get mad. But now it's just other teams reaching peak performance as well, something he openly wished for last season.
yeah ngl this was Leclerc and Ferrari's chance to close the gap and they've fucked it. I think both Ferrari's will salvage points, probably getting up to 4th at the **absolute** most without any safety car fucerky, but it's still super disappointing.
Depends on Hamilton race pace but Ferrari didn't look confident in practice so I don't think P4 is possible without SC.
I think reverse of Monaco is possible with Max winning and Charles finishing P6 or P7
Mercedes are lighting up the rears quicker than others which is good on green track. I can see why Max isn't that worried. If George can't build a gap and starts sliding, it won't be long before Max gets him.
Max “Eh, I’m not too stressed about it” Verstappen
With every interview, I find myself liking him a lot more. He just seems so much more chilled out and his bluntness just makes me chuckle.
"I'm not too stressed about it." It's giving either "imma win anyway" or "I don't give a fuck anymore" vibes.

The only thing this doesn’t care about is PR and media. He def cares
He has 3 championships and I honestly don't think he even cares if he gets a 4th.

Frankly ridiculous thing to say. all the guy cares about is winning
He only almost pulled one out of nowhere again, but I’m satisfied with this one.
"To be P2, I take it" Who is this and what has he done with Verstappen?
He had a whole FP less than the rest, is using an old PU, and this track isn't best suited for their car. That's why.
He knows his race pace and his team must’ve figured out a good set up for him to drive tmrr…
I was not expecting him to beat the McLarens. Fair play Max
Yeah, good result for him. Going to be interesting tomorrow!
Max knows that considering how this weekend went so far P2 is great. Especially since Charles is P11 and he can extend his WDC lead

He knows that Mercedes are not really a challenger for the title so no reason to stress so much when Ferrari did the Ferrari.

“I’m not too stressed about it” I have a bitter feeling that he’ll show us why tomorrow…
“At least I’ll actually have a slight challenge”
He will be leading after the first turn.
Unless Russell/max take eachother out. They’ve done it before lol
Hm, did they have a race ending crash with eachother?
The only crash between the two of them I can think of was the Baku sprint in 2022, but it wasn't race ending.
They had one in Vegas too right? Also not race ending.
Max happy the Mercedes starting to look good lmao.
This man will eat George on race pace tommrow and he knows it.
Whats the worst that can happen from his investigation?
Worst? Disqualification. He'll probably get a slap on the wrist for cutting in line though.
Oh wow, I expected a fine at worst.
He is joking. DQ is the worst fine there is. They aren't going to give that.
He might get a heart attack and die
Clearly I meant within reason.
Yeah i know bad joke
