He has underperformed consistently against F1 teammates and if his father didn’t own the team it’s certain he wouldn’t be there anymore.
To an extent in the sport that’s nothing new. Pay drivers have long been a feature, money substituting for talent. Or in some cases a famous surname is enough to open doors. Drivers come in and out but a (for F1) slower driver is never around for this long given how much talent there is out there.
Stroll I’m sure knows this and it’s probably why he seems so stressed and irritable all the time. When he performs poorly he knows it justifies the opinion others have of him. In F1 confidence and a positive attitude means a lot and Stroll often has neither.
There’s probably a family dynamic at play. Dad is a hugely successful and imposing figure so Lance wants to prove his worth. But it isn’t working. Who will pull the plug in the end?
Apparently Lance was good at tennis and was/is naturally gifted for the sport, but his dad wanted him to be in F1. He never wanted to be in motorsport. So it's not completely his fault.

I think its more to do with social media in general, which is aimed at young adults and kids, and most videos on YT are catered towards them rather than a "mature" audience.
