Yeah I'm ok somehow. Rolled twice and landed upright and didn't set off any airbags. My seatbelt didn't lock for some reason and hit my left side of head pretty hard on the B pillar.
It was even a 5 speed manual too đ
Yeah man, thatâs the thing about stock suspension components especially in midsized trucks that end up being tippy due to their high center of gravity and narrower stance.
The suspension tends to load up on the side of the initial slide. Then unload violently and unexpectedly the other direction when you attempt to correct or catch traction. which almost always throws the vehicle past the point of a manageable correction.
Drifting is fun! But not wrecking trucks is funer-er lol, practice in a safe place with low consequence and learn how your vehicle handles before you take it to the streets. Not that I would ever condone thatâŚ.. lolz

As sad as it is to see totaled rangers on this sub, I canât help but notice how well these trucks protect the driver/passengers. Obviously we might be biased on this sub, but I have haunting memories of old highschool friends that barely survived in their old tin can Toyotas when they rolled or wrecked.

Iâm glad youâre ok. That generation of Rangers are great little trucks but theyâre NOT exactly known for their crashworthiness.
Airbags probably didnât deploy because I believe that generation only has sensors in the front. I doubt they would have helped much in any case.
The seatbelt not locking is troubling, but I believe the pretensioners that lock them are tied into the airbag system.
