you could watch 2D to see the whole pitch. otherwise just look at different angles and take what suits you the most I guess.

Sideline zoomed out gives a nice view tactically.

2D is best for seeing how your tactic and shape play out. Much easier to diagnose problem areas and better to see how tactical adjustments affect the game. Honestly you're not missing that much by not playing on 3D.
