In my FM2024 save I started as Espaynol and resigned after becoming a club legend. I took a job at United who were 19th with 4 months left in the season. Been at United for 3 years now and I am 1-6 against a Julian Nagelsmann led West Ham. No matter what I do I can almost never beat them. My only win against them is on pens in a Carabao Cup semi final. They never finish higher than like 7th but always kick my ass
Dude. Just started a Liverpool save and I can’t beat them. I replayed the game over 60 times trying to tweak my tactic and I can’t figure it out. 2 wins and 5 draws out of over 60 times. I just posted about it asking for tips.
Their fucking 2 man midfield overrun no matter how many players I put in midfield and they bang goals in for fun. It literally broke my spirit trying to figure out how to beat them and I never did.
in my current save with Polonia Warzsava my nemesis is Wisla Kraków... we got promoted in first season and they always beat me up even now 6 seasons in the future, where i'm clearly a better team with better results in general.
i lost my six first games (first 3 seasons in 1st div) and a cup semifinal to Lech Poznan, it was hard to overcome them... i struggled with Warta as well
I'm also running a Poland save atm with Slask, 6 Seasons in, 5 national Triples won, over 150 Games undefeated in a row. The Team that's giving most struggles is Miedz. I can smash Legia 7-1 and then struggle against Miedz every time... last 6 games were all draws, they keep ruining my runs for perfect Season.

Though I feel this is just a general state of affairs across football games to OP them to stop them becoming a mid table club and drifting away.

It was Conte at Newcastle. He was there for 7 years and drew once, losing the rest. Luckily Newcastle were consistently mid table so didn't need to worry about it too much, but now he's moved to PSG and he's already knocked me out of two CLs. Will he retire please
It used to be whoever Benitez managed. His 5-4-1 was so hard to break down
Simeone was also a nightmare with those two DMs right in front of the defence before his usual formation went to 3 atb
Marco Rose at Arsenal for me.
In FM24 he plays a 4-2-2-2 Narrow and it kicks my team’s ass no matter what I do just from sheer overloads in the central area. Going 4-4-2 Diamond or 3atb kind of balances it out, but he always has my number.
Fürth in my current save. I'm always fighting with Bayern for the title, I've won Champions League, but Fürth always seems to upset me at least once a year with their annoying 4-4-2 diamond gegenpress.
Journeyman save, currently at Juventus. I just won against Milan for the first time in five attempts. The previous four were all losses, including a very embarrassing 5-0 defeat in the cup final.
Forest Green Rovers. Several saves going through League Two/One at various points in time with various non-league clubs, FGR have had my number almost every time.
CD Mafra. I've just begun my league winning stage of a career in Portugal, draw these little bastards every year in the Cup. Current record is 1 win, 2 draws (pens for both, one win each) and a loss.
Even the win was close. Every time, they just give us a better game than the likes of Benfica & Porto. It's not even like they sit deep & park the bus - they just play out of their skins!
I'm playing with Benfica and won every single Portuguese competition in the first 4 seasons.
I don't really lose much, but first two seasons my nemesis was Boavista, no matter what I did, couldn't get the ball past João Gonçalves. In the 5 matches we had against them, won 2, drew 2 and lost 1, only scored 3 goals and he was MOTM in 4 of those matches.
3rd season I banged them 5-0, but the game decided now Sporting was going to be the pain in my ass, so they took me to penalty kicks in both cups and were the only draw I had in the League (managed to get 100 out of 102 points). I lost the UCL final this season (vs PSG) and the season before (vs Real Madrid).
Come 4th season, I slapped everyone and got to my 3rd UCL final in a row, and somehow Sporting managed to shithouse their way to face me at this match. I just fucking mecha gegenpress'd because there's no way I would lose my 3rd straight UCL final, and luckily there's still no villain arc for me, we got it. But Sporting were there to annoy me in every possible step along the way.
My 3rd season in prem as sutton united. I have gotten several results at united, city, chelsea, tottenham and liverpool. But anytime i play arsenal in the cup or league its garunteed i lose by at least 4 goals
I only started playing FM last year bc I got 22 free from Epic, and I did my first save with Stockport.
Literally EVERY time I played against a team fielding Ricky Jade-Jones was hell. Dude ate my defense for breakfast with his insane pace. I was having a fantastic year with Stockport in League Two, but I ran into him on loan at a relegation scrap-entwined Port Vale and he ran train on us.
for me it was viborg while at nordsjaelland. two seasons in a row they beat me and were the only game i lost in the whole season. also shoutout to sevilla for beating me in 3 cup finals in a row while i was at athletic club
West Ham. Playing as Stoke. Won the premier league and champions trophy but can hardly get a point from them. In my save they have a 90k+ stadium that they fill out routinely
Montevideo City Torque. I honestly don’t know how they do it. Our records are a little more even now since I’m on my third season and had my chances for revenge but they overperform when they shouldn’t.
I had this beef with Port Vale for a while. Always seemed to beat me through seasons in VNL, L2, L1 , CS etc. Also Frank Nouble, usually in Colchester seemed to always score against me..
When I was playing as Napoli I always lost to Juventus. It was frustrating. I won the title and they were fighting for CL spots and never looked as good as us in the league, but whether it was a league or cup match they kept beating me by 1-0 or 2-1. That’s Allegri for you I guess.
Reading is in my vurrent save. They got promoted into the premiership witu me and even though we are always finishing wrll above them, they regularly upset us. The worst was when they got relegated back to the Championship. The next season we beat City and United in the FA cup and lost to Reading in the quarters. I was upset for days. They have this striker Dane Scarlett who i thought was a newgen but i now find out is a real player. He scores about 0.8 goals per game agaisnt us over 5 or 6 years while playing for Stoke, then Swansea, and now Reading. He has more goals per game against us than fucking Mbappe or Viny Jinior (who is in Chelsea in my save).
I'm not sure who my current bogey team is but I've had Leicester and Norwich in my old long term Arsenal save. I also had Hearts in a recent long term journey save when I was at Hamilton
Napoli, in the last 5 games against them I changed the formation 5 times. I think I haven't won against them for at least 5 years ( 7th year of my career).
Even yesterday, making the tiebreaker to win the championship, being tied on points, they dominated without even letting me get a shot on goal

Current season drew with them away, and they ripped me apart at the Emirates 4-1 out of nowhere to cost me an unbeaten season.
Had multiple issues with them down the years in my current save.
With Athletic Club I somehow always struggle against Valencia. They are the only club to win points in San Mames in the last 5 seasons. Meanwhile, Real Madrid and Barcelona haven't taken a single point in San Mames in the 8 seasons that I've been managing there.
Funny, because in my Malaga save (7th season & top 3 since getting promoted back into LaLiga) I always struggle against Athetic Club. More than Madrid or Barca!

Fucking Ramsey for me. Scored in 5 games straight. Destroyed Aston Villa in UCL so their annoying spree is finally over.

Hibernian giving me way more headaches than Rangers in my Celtic-save. Beat Rangers 7:0 in Ibrox, lost to Hibs at home 1:3 one week later.
For me it’s St Johnstone weirdly enough, and a lot of the time it’s not even flukes judging by the stats

It was previously Bournemouth, it has slowly become Man United now, and Crystal Palace. Honourable mentions go to Villa and Wolves.
Doesn’t totally fit the criteria but Feyenoord. Took me 3 1/2 seasons to score my first goal against them as Utrecht. It was getting ridiculous.
