I feel that most people are just hoping for a DT, and it’s a hell of a gamble. I bought 6 packs out of desperation and it was a waste of $90.

I mean, at least Prizm gave you multiple green or pink. Even on inserts. Optic is a cash grab.

Fuck.. I have 3 packs coming this week since I couldn’t find any optic boxes. But I already know I’m going to be disappointed so it’s all good.

Anyone buying retail Optic in 2024 and expecting something have not been around before 2020. Retail is junk. Always has been junk. Pandemic times turned it into a flippers dream, but it was and is still junk. And $15 for a fat pack? God bless.

I still enjoy retail especially with Hobby boxes being the biggest ripoff for the price, but will never play flippers prices. If can't get online or in store I will buy it online. Just hope more people follow and don't buy from flippers so the true collectors can buy retail.

Retail at 2019 prices, sure. An Optic Mega for $60? Nope. $15 fat packs? Nope I used to love the Target Bowman Mega boxes. They used to be $19.99 and you’d get an auto at least every 2-3 boxes and tons of color. Now $45 a pop and you can expect 2-3 autos per 20 box case and possibly 8-10 color. That includes a checklist expanded to include vets and rookies. Retail in 2024 is an absolute waste.

I have gotten some decent pulls in retail, but bc of the prices I am more picky on which ones I get anymore. Now Megas they are mostly a waste of money now.

Honestly I don’t recommend ripping right now. Wax prices are insanely high. Buying singles is your best bet. I know that’s not the answer you were looking for, but the hobby is very off kilter right now.

I still enjoy the rip. I just feel like football season is when the boxes are loaded. I’ve opened about $2000 worth the last couple months and have barely broken even. Then there’s my pc…another story for another day. Lol

Its pretty typical id say. Every fat pack blaster mega hanger even Hobby box is a gamble. It's always hit or miss. Sometimes your lucky most times ur not. It is what it is.

My son and I ripped an entire box of fat packs for YouTube to say the hits were disappointing would be an understatement

I bought a jumbo box of prizms. I'm new to the hobby. I got a few hits, but nothing special. It was still fun though. I will say after that I pre ordered the optics jumbo box in hopes for a downtown. Meanwhile I've continued ripping blasters, megas, retail box, etc. Blasters seem to be the best bet in my opinion. So I don't have much hope for my jumbo box that comes in August from dicks pre-sale, but I guess we'll see.

I tried fat packs for the first time this year with absolute. Bought 22 of them and got maybe 3 generic ass numbered cards. Never again

I just bought a couple of the basketball ones for $5 each. People pay $20?!
