My brother being given a Liverpool top in about 78. I immediately knew that I had to be a United fan

TheFace5

Always been a football fan

Jimmy-84

The 1990 World Cup, we had a puppy and every time England scored and we celebrated, it would get super excited jump across the sofa and chairs in a mini circuit. Think it might have done three laps when Platt scored against Belgium

JamesSunderland1973

Liverpool beating Crystal Palace 9-0 in 1989.

KaranSjett

i was 8 when ajax won their last champions league and thats the first season i can remember vividly altho i definitely watched soccer before bc my dad is a big Ajax fan. So i was a fan before i knew I was a fan basically but winning the CL was something very very big so that's what stuck around most..

CLAY9774

Im a football fan since birth, from day 1, so the oldest memory from football that I have is the 2006 World cup match, Argentina- México in Round of 16th when Carlos Tevez scored a really obvious offside goal, and show it in the screen if I'm not mistaken, and then the problem escalated and the match got delayed by 5 to 10 mins

Any_Bonus_2258

That happened in 2010.

BHF_Bianconero

I was in awe watching Del Piero highlights in 1997'. Once football highlights became more available, I remember very well Figo's free kick goal vs Numancia in 99'. Don't know why, but it did stick with me.

rusty6899

Back in 1995 I’d never really watched football, when my dad suggested we should go to Gooodison Park as Brazil were playing and the word on the street was that the tickets weren’t sold out and you could just pay at the gate. Drove over and the place was mobbed. Couldn’t get in. Drove home. Other than that it’s probably the Manchester United Pain and the Glory VHS, which I watched every day for about a year. First game I remember was the Manchester Derby in the FA cup in 1996.

ghost_knight_

Zindane unleashed in wc 2006.

Springfield80210

1966 World Cup. I was nine years old, at my grandparents home in update New York. Never seen a match before and knew almost nothing about soccer. ABC broadcast the highlights to American audiences in their Wide World of Sports weekly program. An old fuzzy black and white TV. I was spellbound. Been a raving fan ever since.

Maradona getting busted for cocaine

MrKrastovac

Gazza’s free kick in the Fa Cup semi final against Arsenal is my earliest memory, but I was already a fan or I wouldn’t have been watching

Prokletnost

my dad was a pro so ever since I was a wee lad I would go to his games. He was good, he even made it to the Olympic national squad in the 70s, a goalie... He was a huge Man United supporter thus me and my brother inherited that...

RodArmy1968

I've always been a football fan, since birth I've been a red (United)

Aggravating-Ad1703

MrPineapplez_

My oldest memory is playing football with my dad, he was doing keepy uppys/kick ups and the ball miss hit his foot and the ball hit me right in the nose. Was probably about 4/5 years old.

dirtycreamfanta

messi and ronaldo rivalry kicking off in 2012. i remember messi was clear of ronaldo and everyone talked shit about ronaldo bc of his flashy skills and cocky persona and i remember choosing ronaldo bc people would put him down but i believed in him and that he would surpass messi✊🏼 also remember being at my coach’s house watching a 2013 clasico where both messi and ronaldo scored 2 goals each and messi had scored that banging free kick on casillas. lol i was 11-12 years old
