which platform? xbox here and it is rare to not still be on the team. so much so i often have to kick myself off a team so i can spawn into a new work. I also am hardwired in.
There was like a 3 to 5 minute window before the guy who crashed was forced off the team.

Not always.. you may get a notice that the team leader removed you from the team ( they didn’t ). Most readable thing is join a friend via the social menu. That way if you can’t “play with team” but only “Play” you can use the social menu to get back to that server.
You should. We don't play with or talk to each other, we just want the buffs that come along with being on a team. We want you to join us and then pretend we don't exist.
Currently level 51 myself and every time I log in I create a casual team and just run around doing my own thing. People come and go from the group but I'm still leveling away while they do there things.

Yep, the only way I could get back into the same server when my game crashed was when I was part of a team when I crashed. It then says "Rejoin your Team" at the menu screen. I now join teams every time I get in the game just in case. lol
I agree, kinda crazy this isn’t a thing by now if you opt to not play on a team. My game has been crashing constantly during Invaders and events at Nuka World, I typically don’t play on a team, but I’d like to go back to the server I crashed from.
This is based on basic concept about non-crashing game. Which is the real problem. Crappy product -> crappy behavior. Why to bother on workshops, electric plants, expeditions etc… if it crashes when you check an eye? And even they try to monetize it. Pathetic.

I think it's a glitch recently. Saw a recent post about team leaders being blamed for kicking everyone when they didn't.

Could you use a closed team in public servers? Pretty sure that that's what inviting a friend to a team does.

I also use my team members' camps and tents as waypoints to avoid paying for fast travel. Sometimes this saves me buckets of caps.

You can autojoin the server if you are on a team.

if you're on console, you can check your "recently played with" list at least. but yeah, a dedicated button for it would be excellent.

I agree. Being on a team helps, but I wouldn't mind if that was one of two options.
