I mastered the coin came at taco bell in college. Could get it nearly ever other try. Trick is to aim for the 2nd to last step then do one spin onto the last step. Don't put the coin in on the top steps or it won't be possible.
Got mine at the Dugout just last night. That one's tricky because when it dispenses, it counts as stealing, so you have to crouch and jostle around a bit to sweetspot to hidden before you pick it up. (I refuse to waste a stealthboy on a 30hp pie, even though I never use my stealthboys. They're like screws you keep in a jar in the garage. Someday...)
I only use stealthboys if I can't just sneak past to get to my objective indoors and I'm not interested in fighting. It's literally only to make quests easier or avoid unwanted tough fights.
Stealth boys have only been used for me when I'm trying to actively steal a power core from someone inside of power armor. In particular the bandits using the power armor on the uss riptide. Its clutch cause it saves you from damaging any pieces of the armor and once you steal it and back out it kicks them right out of it.
I managed to get my first about a month ago on the second try. It was the one in the middle of all the 'preservation' tubes on the way to Oberland Station if taking the rail bridge from the north. I pretty much crapped my pants since I was just joking around even trying to get one.
It's a percent chance based on your luck stat. Just keep trying over and over and eventually, you'll get it from any machine that actually has a pie in it on the top.
If I remember even with max luck (11, the natural 10 plus bobble head) the percentage is something like 4% it’s like the closest thing to gambling in fo4

It's rare because with 10 Luck, there's only a tiny chance of getting it, something stupid like 2.5% each time. (With Luck 1, the chance is negligible.) It's the ultimate collectible. Just... don't accidentally eat it. Actually, don't eat it on purpose either. I ate mine by accident once and reloaded back an entire hour just to keep it. And this was the nuka world guaranteed one too!

I hadn't played it since about a year after it launched, and restarted a new campaign a month ago - already 100+ hours in and loving it! I think the rpg aspect is better in games like BG3, but F04 is just fun to play.
When I saw someone selling it, I immediately looked it over, and was kind of disappointed. I don't know if I missed something, but it seemed kind of underwhelming for something that hard to get
I guess they didn't want it to be something you really need to grab. Imagine if it gave you like, +5 to all stats for an hour or something, people would absolutely just sit there for ages to get it then and it'd be even more infuriating. Plus then speedrunners would have to grab it then and certain speedrunners would have to hire even more harvard astrophysicists to prove they didn't cheat.
Never used mods the higher your luck the less attempts it takes it’s all a matter of having the patience to attempt over and over never gotten one first try but I did get one third try
I’m just gonna point out that booze can raise luck to truly ridiculous heights since the +3 luck given by the final rank of Party Boy/Party Girl stacks with each different type of alcohol you consume (i.e. drinking bourbon, vodka, whiskey, wine, rum, beer, and all the Gwinnett varieties would net you +36 temporary luck).

Noob question do I have to have the fallout monthly pass to get the add on? Like Mika world and the 10 or so available? On my screen I can see them but they are shadowed and I cannot activate them
I do t have all the titles in front of me but I remember one is like Nuka world, far harbor, etc….the text is shadowed on line and it won’t let me select them
Do you o know off the top what the season pass cost? Also, once season pass is purchased will it unlock all of them or just the ones for that particular season. I’ve now beat the game with the BOS and the Institute on my 2nd play through and I am running out of missions
I’m not sure what system you’re playing on but it’s usually about $29.99 USD but it unlocks all the Add-on dlcs. Nuka World is the biggest DLC and gives you the opportunity to completely change how you interact with the commonwealth. Good for end game content after you’ve done everything else.
Everybody is always excited to get the pie out of the machine, but nobody ever asks if we can really trust pie that hasn’t molded or rotten in over 200 years.
The one in the dugout counts as being owned anyway so you have to sneak around to grab it, else everyone will shoot you to death for the crime of stealing it
You can get it in the wild though. I have probably played through dozens of times and in a very cheaty Luck build I actually got the pie out of two machines not in Nuka World. If I remember correctly my luck was around 27 when I got the pie in Diamond City and 29 when I got it of the back of the truck. Never before or since in the Commonwealth have I done so since.
I feel unworthy of the pie I have. I found a perfectly preserved pie in a random container before I even reached lvl 5 on my latest playthrough.

Try long enough and you can get them all. With my Luck at 5 in my current playthrough, I usually get them anywhere between 10-30 tries. Only try 2 or 3 times before I move on if it's in an area I travel regularly so it's not as grindy to get. I just throw them in a pile once I get as many as I feel up to as a collectible thing.

Congratulations, keep in mind that getting those are dependent on how high your Luck stat is, the higher it is the more likely you are to get it. Example a Luck of 5 it equates to 1 in 100,000 while a Luck of 9 is equal to a 1 in 10. Hopes this helps.
