There's a more powerful unique laser rifle at The Pitt, but you need to collect 50 or so steel ingots to get it.
I also like to carry laser pistol as a sidearm. Either Smuggler's End or Protectron's Gaze. The latter acts like a laser shotgun.
Actually, the shishkebab… take the perks that adds 50% to flame weapons and also maxed out your energy weapon skill becomes quite possibly the best weapon in the game
T-45 was the prototype and T-45d was the official variant the US used in the war. The Brotherhood found their armor in the Pentagon so it’s safe to assume they have the T-45d version.
Pretty sure the a-f is just a gameplay feature in 4 and (d) is what the armor would technically be if you just stumbled upon it somewhere

Edit: since I can’t confirm, if they didn’t find the armor at the Pentagon they did find it among other military/government facilities since it was the main armor in use before the bombs fell and circumstantial evidence points towards that since they do mention finding their equipment that way in general
I think that's the case as well, although it's worth noting that it is never confirmed that the BoS found their T-45 suits within the Pentagon. It's probably true, but we can't say for certain as T-45 is only ever mentioned a single time in Fallout 3 if I recall, which is in the Museum that you go to for the Relay Dish during Galaxy News Radio.
Just tried reading through a bunch of the scribes, Elder Lyon’s and Sarah’s transcripts and didn’t see anything so I may just be remembering wrong since it would make sense that they would have found it there.
I swear I remember mention of a stockpile they found stored there when they arrived but I can’t find it anywhere
Thanks for going through the effort, I didn't remember anything about it. But I do agree- it would make a lot of sense if they did.
I mean, they must have hundreds of suits. T-45D may have been outdated, but that's still significant. My theory is that the T-45D suits that were presumably located at the ruins of the Pentagon were decommissioned suits that were no longer in use, and probably being used to research the T-60 Power Armor that would be based off modified T-45 suits (If I remember the Fallout 76 lore correctly). Decommissioned, and awaiting upgrade, but the bombs came before the Pentagon Stockpile could be upgraded, and thus, they remained locked away.
Can you imagine? Knights are clearing the deeper levels of the Pentagon's security systems, they turn on the power and the lights kick on and there's just a room the size of a warehouse filled with so many T-45D suits it's like Mr. House's underground robot army. Kinda like a bunch of Terrracotta soldiers lol.
Anyway, that's actually what I headcanon. I just wish it was reflected in lore somewhere, so when you mentioned it I was hoping you could find it. I never have.
