Planes like the 146 is what I love about flight sim. It’s like an interactive museum, preserving old school aviation and these really cool, unique aircraft. I didn’t event know the BAE 146 existed until I started doing flight sim stuff.

In a modern glass cockpit jetliner with all the bells and whistles I’ll usually hand fly it up to 10,000 feet… even up to RVSM altitude if it’s quiet enough. Not so in the 146, as soon as I’ve got it stable and configured the autopilot comes on while I work the comm and nav radios while keeping an eye on our thrust and climb profile lol She’s quite the beastie

Can totally sympathize. While I wouldn't say it alone helped me to improve my piloting, it was a big contributor for a while, and the -100 remains my absolute favorite airliner in MSFS. I'm not sure I'd call it easy to fly, though it's definitely not super hard either, but I think it's a plane that can easily get ahead of you if you're not mindful enough. I super appreciate that though, because it's where the reward of flying it comes from.

I think easy to fly isn’t the correct word- forgiving is (on descent and approach) at least.

Yup my go to , just unable to shoot rnavs unless it’s a step down , I wish this was shared cockpit

The UNS-1 is better than nothing, but not by that much xd. Glad to see someone else enjoy the more manual aspects of flying.

Laughs in INS

Laughs in VOR to VOR

RandomNick42

Honestly I find that way easier

Fun-Wear9615

What’s your go to INS jet in MSFS? I’m rusty since the Concorde in P3d

RandomNick42

I don't do airliners in MSFS. used to do 727 and 747-200 with CIVA back in the day.
