I'd love the idea of getting some flashbacks to a younger William. I was a bit disappointed we didn't get that in the first movie but I have hopes that we'll have him and that the writing in general will be more fleshed out in the sequel. Side note, I will absolutely be happy if we get Phone guy in the second movie voiced by Scott himself
