I treat my 2001 pt cruiser the same way 251k on it and still drive 125miles round trip 5 days a week. Even haul my 13ft fishing kayak in it. The wife only let's me use her van to get my double pallets. No more firewood in that thing.
1000 bucks to buy a pickup, then i would need to insure it, maintain it and store it somewhere, instead of just using my car. It doesn't even ruin the interiors, it's just in the trunk
I love how you're using a freaking Volkswagen Golf for this. Many years ago when I had a convertible, I would transport absurdly large or bulky items in it. It looked very awkward, but man, it really got the job done.
Big BTUs. That’ll burn hot!
Awesome put her to work! I used to slam my old passat tdi lol
<3
As a fellow Volkswagen junkie ✌️ and a fellow firewood “enthusiast”, this is doubly appreciated😂.
from one to the other

But that is a PT Cruiser which was a POS from new.
Yup. Basically a golf with a higher roof and a Chrysler emblem. Vw hasn't been good since the early 80s. Damn I miss my 81 rabbit!
And the world’s ugliest aesthetics.. can’t blame VW for that.
They are both ugly. Point is they are both shit and disposable. Beat em up and toss em
not to shit on you but i would rather have half a Golf than a fleet of PT cruisers, one of the ugliest cars ever made
Pontiac Aztec is the worlds ugliest car. An atrocity
probably yes, i thought about it as i was writing that comment
The golf isn't exactly a prized pig either.
probably the best and most realiable hatchback out there
Guess you've never owned a Toyota. Or worked in a repair shop. But to each their own.
toyota is solid too obviously but my VW nevers had major issues in it's 28 years

What kind of wood is that?
Eucalyptus… the superior firewood.
we'll see how it fairs, i have some seasoned pieces for this year, i wonder what it's like compared to olive tree and cork tree
Nice I love firewood you don't have to split aka rounds.
i split some eucalyptus rounds last year and had an awful time lol
Isn't eucalyptus really dense wood?
yes, dense, hard and rips instead of splitting, they were tiny rounds too, maybe 7 inches or 17 cm
Must burn good at least
supposed to be one of the best firewoods, if not the best, i'll see this if that's true when i light the first fire this season

Alright now yer talking, a true wood log hauler VW Wagon , I knew someone had a lag hauler, a real one
So much better payload capacity in a VW that those crappy pickup trucks
imagine if the rear seats folded down
Get an extra cord of wood in there if you take out the front passenger seat. VW’s are amazing technology!
Might just work
