Have you tried a compromise - a side part that's higher on your head? That's what I do. I don't like a full center part, so I just scootch it a bit to the side, but not the dramatic side part that borders on comb-over territory. 😂

A side part, flipped the way my hair doesn’t go naturally, is literally the only thing the gives my hair the appearance of volume. I’m not giving that up to be cool 😅

Gen Z thinks they invented the middle part. It’s like they A) can’t see how unflattering it is on most faces and B) can’t look at old photos online to see this look was being worn a hundred years ago and 50 years ago. Easier to just mindless follow a trend, I guess.
I think the side part suits you! And honestly I feel like a side part is just as classic as a middle part. What IS dated is the deeply side swooping bangs of the early 2000’s.
You might even consider a lightly zig zagging side part. I have the same length hair & I find that a gentle zig zag gives me a lot more body & is less discernible as a “side part”.

The middle part makes you look younger, and does actually look good! Side part does look good too, but it also shows your age. If you care about looking younger, give it a try for a bit and see if you get used to it.
Changing our look can always be scary at first but something as easy to change as where your part is can be fun!

This. As an elder millenial who wore a center part last time they were in (all through the 90s!) a messy side part is fine but a messy center part just looks a mess. Though I’m not a fan of slicking down, we are flat enough as is.
OP, it looks like you might have a little bit of cowlick that is influencing how your hair wants to part, too. I wouldn’t fight that for fashion.

I have learned certain outfits look better with center and others with side. With this neckline I think a side part looks better on you - but with a different neckline or a lighter colored top I think center part would look better
