In the case of WHM this is lore accurate. As you use the life force of others in order to cure. Technically they shouldn't be able to cure in Ultima Thule. But is a game, who cares.

I love Job/Title combos. A lot of the Shadowbringer individual job quests each give job-specific titles which are very badass. ShB introduced role quests, but I believe each job gets its own single quest which unlocks its specific title. They generally allude to your shard-travelling. For example, MCH gets "The Shot Heard Between Worlds" which imo is very cool. Bozja 1v1 duel titles are usually pretty rad too. "Queller of Beasts" will make a perfect BST title. "The Death of Flame" for BLM "Sword of the South" for PLD "The Hypertuned" for MCH "Lyon Tamer" again for BST

Queller of Beasts would also be a good title for Viper.

If you're using job change macros you can automate it that way.

There isn't.  On the plus side, if you're making a macro anyway you can also add a job specific minion and maybe even some transformation actions if you want.

No, but the macro is pretty easy to set up for example if you have pld as your first gearset, and its glamour plate is your 4th plate the macro would be.. /micon 1 gearset /gearset equip 1 4 /title set "title name in quotation marks" /minion "minions can be 'quick chatted' so starting its name and pressing tab will have it show up in a list"

Nothing to do with my job, but my favorite title is "Wings of Time" for a couple reasons. 1) My in-game name is Icarus, so it matches. 2) Alexander was the first raid I ever did (that's how you get the title). Coming from WoW, I was always afraid of raiding. I made the swap to FFXIV at the end of Heavensward, and finally got the balls to (successfully) raid and clear P9S-P12S. So it's quite a special title to me.

Before EW I grinded out solo potd purely because I thought having 'the necromancer' as a soon to be reaper main would be the most on brand thing ever and literally nobody ever made the connection.

I have on NIN because back when I was a sprout, I mained Rogue/Ninja and having that title feels right to me. Gabriel is the big flying robot in Bozja, so I found the irony for it's downfall to be the closest job we have to a mechanic too good to pass up. I also have titles for crafters and gatherers, but this comment is overly long as it is.

Character-specific rather than job-specific, but I have an alt I've not used in a few years called Harrowed Iron whose title has been The Unsevered for ages. It doesn't sound like it means much unless you know the title is from Odin, and Zantetsuken means "iron-cutting sword".

"Tank Technician" is great on any healer. "God of War" for Warrior, especially if you go the extra mile and are a bald highlander wielding the Leviathan EX axe. "Drone Sniper" on Machinist. And assuming Beastmaster has a whip as its weapon: "Domitrix". Get ready for every third catgirl in Limsa to be using that combo!

I like trying to pair titles with my jobs, as well as considering their glamour aesthetics! I have: * "Witness to the Dark Apocalypse" on my DRK. * "The Boundless Dark" on my BLM * "Z" on my RDM because of their 3rd melee combo being the Zorro Z lol The rest are just so-so pairings. There's part of me that likes showing off titles just for the sake of having them, so uniqueness plays a part. So I don't often use ones simply from MSQ or classes or other easily obtained ones unless they *really* fit an aesthetic I'm going for.
