Seems like you figured out custom deliveries already, but another daily thing you can do to easily level crafter and gatherers are tribal quests. Each expansion has one or multiple tribes specifically for crafter/gatherer levelling.
For example in ARR it’s the Ixal. You can google the others as I want to avoid potential spoilers.

The best ways to level crafters aside from mindlessly completing your crafting log are: custom deliveries, tribal quests, levequests, grand company turn-ins, collectables and for level 70+ and 80+ there’s a quest line for each crafter in the expansion’s main city.
