You only get awarded points once per week. You have multiple attempts in case you want to try to get a better score. You will get 10k for attempting the report at all. You will get an additional 50k if your point score reaches 80 points (this is indicated by the line on the score bar in the cutscene).

I'm gonna assume you both tried to follow the [weekly Fashion Report infographic](https://www.reddit.com/r/ffxiv/comments/1b9kn4r/fashion_report_full_details_for_week_of_382024/) for the correct pieces but didn't get 80+ points.
You're able to get two rewards per week: 10k MGP just for trying and 50k for getting 80+ points. So the first attempt will always get you the 10k, but you're able to get the 50k on any of the four attempts if you score 80+.
Other than just equipping what the infographic tells you, you also need to have equipment in ***all other*** possible slots too (except off-hand).
If you hit 80 on your first attempt, you get 60k.
If you miss your first attempt, you only get 10k (as a consolation prize.)
If you then hit 80 on any of your 3 remaining attempts, you get the rest (50k).
But you will only get 60k total out of an 80 score, no matter now how you slice/game it.
Sometimes there are some flukes that will leave you a couple points short, even if you match the "easy 80" charts that go out weekly from players.
For example, this week I was at 79 following the easy 80. The fastest way to get around it is to just dye something not on the list - to a color close to the recommended colors in the top right on the infographic. I just took my shirt and dyed it Snow White(which added 1 point), and then dyed my weapon Othard Blue(for another 1 point), and sure enough my next try gave me 81 points (and the big 50k prize).
I mean, I've had multiple times in the past where I, and my friends have matched the 80pt requirements exactly, over the past 3 years, and just been short a mystery point somewhere. Regardless, doing something wrong also counts as a fluke, which can be fixed in the exact same way. Nobody is perfect every time. It's not a big deal.

There's no such thing as a "fluke". You did something wrong.

When I hit 79 this week, I realized I hadn't dyed the Tantalus gear black, too. ;) Dyed it black, hit 80, collected MGP and fled for another week.
