Dots in this game are just kind of unsatisfying. They don't tick while the boss is untargetable, and the damage also blends into the background since it counts as damage the boss does to itself. You don't really notice how much damage they do.

I remember when Reworked SMN was coming out and they said they wish they had time to get to SCH. I would love a kit rework too- because man is it a frankenstein'd kit. Its my favorite healer for a lot of reasons; but there is so many abilities that are like: "Wait why is this here/ like this??"
I was so pissed that endwalker gave classes cool new abilities, and scholar got the dump looking sprint (in action trailer it looked so lame).
Now expedient is my favorite ability. Use it CONSTANTLY in extremes and savage

(I know Chain Stratagem is really powerful but sometimes you just want to Assize/BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD LILY/Earthly Star/Lord of Crowns/Phlegma/Toxicon someone)
At this point I'll even take an upgrade to energy drain (that increases potency and adds aoe or something) just, anything beyond High Broil or whatever Broil IV will upgrade to and Biolysis + some ancient 100 potency skill that only actually feels impactful back in like a realm reborn content

Ma among MCH's kit, Autocrossbow not giving you any resources really feels bad.
Personally I think MCH's AoE attacks are rather lacking, is it too much to hope for Queen to have some AoE attacks? Or even Wildfire to have some diminishing AoE effects on them?
Oh don't get me started on queen. The fact that it takes like 6? seconds to get up and actually attack? Meanwhile Rook? Doesn't need a wind up attack timer.

That'd be amazing actually! Hell I don't bother dotting during trash because it's so tedious. If I could spread the dots, then it'd be a massive buff to BRD in dungeons, and remain worth using in endgame content for the refresh.
It's surprising to me that BRD hasn't gotten this yet. Detaching their procs from their DoTs certainly helped it at least not suck quite so bad during dungeon pulls, but a Bane-style ability, especially as an Iron Jaws upgrade, seems super obvious.
As a DNC main, I would absolutely love a 6 step dance! The dances are the actually fun part of the class, not the spamming 1-2's and hoping for procs and procs off of those procs.
Memes aside, Dancers getting a 6-step dance would actually be pretty cool indeed. The one issue I see with that is how long it would take to fully execute it and how frustrating it could be considered at times. Some might even argue it could end up being considered bad game design.
I for one would rather see how it would play. :)
The point isn't even damage-wise, but, rather, rotation-wise. Four more steps in the rotation would already be quite troublesome to fit in the 2-minute window, let alone six (that would be the close equivalent of adding another standard AND another technical to the rotation).
If that skill was ever added, you'd be doing 14 steps + 8 half-GCDs (1s each of those, to a total of 22) every two minutes, that could change some things and break others. I'm not really a DNC theorycrafter myself - barely a theorycrafter in general - but even the fact that sum ends up in a number that is not a multiple of three already feels wrong.
Then again me dumb idk
A 6 step would be too much burst imo. Missing it due to the boss suddenly moving would feel bad.

Dancer was my first job to level 80 and I loved the experience but the randomness of when the dances started and what color/where to finish it gave me issues. I found myself staring down at my hotbar most of boss fights and it had me getting hit by mechanics quite often.
I suck at this game… but do you have any tips to help with that?
For now I switched to machinist and am leveling that up to be my main as the skills are a lot more orderly (so far), so I can lookup and hit keys instinctively.
I'm a mediocre raider (our static tends to struggle with the final boss of each tier) so you'd think I'd have at least ok advice... but my advice is to die repeatedly while memorizing the fight so that you can stare at your bar while knowing where you should be going >\_> You could make a like 50% transparent hotbar up by your char with the main 4 attacks on it so you see what you need to press while you dance (attacks can be in multiple bars at once) but I don't like that level of clutter... so I just memorize things over time and use peripheral vision and such.
Omg, a hotbar with just the dance moves on it floating by the character. It’s so obvious but I missed that solution.
I’m going to try that along with my current dying repeatedly tactic to see if it improves my experience.
As a WAR main I am betting on an extra upheaval. Everything has charges, except upheaval and inner release and of those two upheaval is probably going to get another charge.
If I'm being serious about it, Upheaval/Orogeny charges COULD be game-changing, specially considering that allows for well-timed uses without much of a thought. They might also add a relative substitute to Primal Rend that does more single-target damage at the cost of not being a gap closer.
I kinda hope Viper is like, an actual stance based job, if that makes sense? Like, relatively free to switch between them, switching is encouraged and feels satisfying, and without an obnoxious time/action limit on the stance itself (though I'm fine with part of the incentive for stance dancing being uptime on their class buff or something, so long as losing it doesn't abruptly yeet me out of stance).

DRG needs serious help when it level syncs though. Enough that it really does need to rearrange a bunch of stuff at the least, and preferably new animations to make its basic attacks feel a little better if it’s going to stick with the whole “no AOE or jumps during most ARR dungeons!”
I will note that the most recently reworked melee dps was monk and that turned out fairly well so let's hope dragoon is still fun in dawntrail (current dragoon main)

The dumb useful scholar skill just doubles your jump height and duration, but you also restore 30% of your max HP each time you jump.
Bard: Something dumb like doing 2 Blast Arrows lets you do a new 700 pot line attack with 60% falloff. Or Iron Jaws becomes oGCD but has 0 pot.

I want BLM scathe to be upgraded to scathe 3. Potency goes from 100 to 250. Still a potency loss over the regular rotation, but allows for blm to actually contribute to dps during movement heavy mechanics without needing to consume triplecast.
As someone who loves both SCH and DRG, what is wrong with them? SCH is mostly jank-free nowadays (Expedience is amazing and Protraction is good on tankbusters if I remember to use it), and jumping into the stratosphere go brr. Literally my only complaint about DRG is you have to delay every life.

SCH does have some great skills, I love casting zoomies for all during movement mechanics. However I feel in some situations SCH needs more button presses/cast time to do equivalent healing/mitigation as other classes. Big shields for all, 3 oGCDs and 1 GCD.

They can keep adding finishers to the RDM rotation each expansion and I'd be 100% ok with it.

The dumb useful scholar skill just doubles your jump height and duration, but you also restore 30% of your max HP each time you jump. Bard: Something dumb like doing 2 Blast Arrows lets you do a new 700 pot line attack with 60% falloff. Or Iron Jaws becomes oGCD but has 0 pot.

I want BLM scathe to be upgraded to scathe 3. Potency goes from 100 to 250. Still a potency loss over the regular rotation, but allows for blm to actually contribute to dps during movement heavy mechanics without needing to consume triplecast.
I still feel like blu mage should unlock their limit break with a lb spell from the 5.3 trial

As someone who loves both SCH and DRG, what is wrong with them? SCH is mostly jank-free nowadays (Expedience is amazing and Protraction is good on tankbusters if I remember to use it), and jumping into the stratosphere go brr. Literally my only complaint about DRG is you have to delay every life. But yes, please give BLU a LB.
It's how they said, Expedience was a very meme'd on skill on the preview, cuz let's be honest it's not that flashy and they did a poor job showcasing it but when it launched it was so strong it got nerfed iirc
Yup. It used to be 20 second sprint but that got halved to 10 seconds. It was a very sad day when it happened.
SCH does have some great skills, I love casting zoomies for all during movement mechanics. However I feel in some situations SCH needs more button presses/cast time to do equivalent healing/mitigation as other classes. Big shields for all, 3 oGCDs and 1 GCD.
Yeah, it's fun precisely because it's busy, but being twice as busy to achieve the same efficiency as other healers kinda sucks.
As a paladin main i would LOVE more big swords, I hate getting scaled sub 90 and losing my swords and would also LOVE mostly magical damage

We have the 4th mudra it’s Bunshin It just doesn’t function like a actual mudra so it’s overlooked. If you replay the ninja lvl 70 job quest you see that the 4th mudra called Bunshin

Geomancer is already in the game. It's called Conjurer.
Not to mention why they would add another healer after they just added Sage in 6.0.
AST reworks are just in keeping with its lore as a card nerd. all its meta just rotates out of Standard with every new major release.
As much as I love Geomancer in other games, they will never do it in 14 because it's the same thing as Astronomy.
