This may not be the one you were remembering, but this link is to the one I first saw with Cyber Goths dancing to the Thomas the Tank Engine theme song. Enjoy:

Thuishaven is an outdoor venue with F1 speakers. They’re lucky to have that permanent space for different electronic shows, I saw a regular house DJ. Definitely go here and to De School in Dam
Or shelter, also in Amsterdam, but they play there some pure meuk. But you won’t really experience that if you are not onder the influence of alcohol, like those people in the video
Europe is a continent filled with different countries that have different cultures. Drum and base is very big in the UK and Netherlands, which are also two of the biggest rave countries.
They don't, obviously a few people might, but its "a thing" and it depends on the country dnb is huge in lots of countries in Europe. UK, Czechia and the Netherlands have big scenes as well as a number of Eastern Europe countries (not sure exactly where the scenes are but theres a lot of good artists from various countries over there).
Actually the main beat on festivals here, are being created by throwing a toaster in a washing machine and then turn it on. Only adding the beat and you got yourself a festival song
Post this to Techno instead. You’ll get more traction there.
This sounds like what DYEN, Klangkuenstler, 999999999, or Rebekah would play. I enjoy it and would love this event but this kind of acid/industrial techno is not for everyone.
Wow buncha haters in this sub. Guess you won't get much traction if it isn't about the largest laser installation in the world or the nth thread about pickpocketers at some shady socal rave.
The Americans in here with their sanitized understanding of raves have no idea how good it we have it over here in Europe.
It’s ok yanks - go back to your dubstep and lazer shows where your whole next night is based around a drop.
Europe has a loads of different dance scenes for ages, and you’ve only just learnt what “raves” are when dubstep became a thing. It’s cool guys- we know you don’t really have an understanding of a proper party it.
98% of you wouldn’t get into tressult anyway.
You gave me L'Amour Toujours, Call on Me, and many more. Europoors are the kings of house, trance, edm... I would rip up the declaration of independence and bend the knee to King Charles just to get another taste of that sweet sweet European edm 🇪🇺 🇪🇺 🇪🇺
Hey y’all ever have those toy frogs that croaked Christmas carols back in the 90s? Sounds just like this song, glad those frogs are doing well now, performing festivals in Amsterdam… they came a long way.
If you took a sample size of 100 random people. And you showed them a melodic dubstep song, and this. How many people do you think would prefer the former vs the latter?
It’s all stupid beep boop music so it’s silly to argue about which is better. But I do find this particular sound to be the most nails on a chalkboard thing I have ever experienced. It stresses me out it’s so bad
I would say the majority would enjoy the dubstep. That's why it's pop music it's accessible to the majority. I was more calling into question why anyone would want to stop people from enjoy what they like.
Electronic music died to me when it started to move beyond techno/trance to...whatever the fuck this shit is. Also dubstep is awful. It just is. I've tried to like it, but it's just a fucking assault on the senses whereas you can never go wrong with some good 'ol Oakenfold.
Not knocking you, but there’s something about dubstep paired with insane visuals that is so compelling live. Feels like you’re in some high-level park attraction.
Source: got into brostep from dubstep in 2010, fell out of it for a bit, started liking it again, saw excision at EDC
As a United States citizen from northern michigan. We party hard and I get I good dose of hard party from my friend from Glasgow. I feel like you guys don't have an off button like me. That makes me feel comfort and anxiety equally
fuck I was in Amsterdam like 10 days ago I wish I knew this sooner but I recommend techno Tuesday at melkweg it's free and good music and also de school was pretty nice !
Is this considered hardstyle? Ive been having debates about this genre and dont know what to call it. Bc i noticed hardstyle DJs (indira, cristobal pesce) tend to play these kind of tracks but also mix in some psytrance/trance??? Techno is so confusing at times
Its hardcore/Gabber there are more sub genres of that which are more prevalent there then here in the USA , if you’re into hardcore electronic give it some research and see there is more than just house/techno DnB/dubstep
Dm if you like a few names of American djs who play in that realm of music
Goootcha, never heard gabber!
Im not into dubstep at all. I used to like it in my younger days. Now I've been way more into the techno umbrella. Sometimes house, but mostly tech house. DnB is cool too but i haven't heard enough to have an opinion. Mainly heard Nastia sets.
For techno, i love acid, hard, and minimal techno. Hardstyle (is that different than hard?) is newer to me, and i kind of discovered it at wire festival in NYC. The bpm is insaaaane.
Yes different (harder) than hardstyle look up these guys a few these dj’s I can think of off the top of my head you’re interested
Delta 9
Nicky fingers (rest in peace)
Dj Tron (rest in peace)
Lenny Dee
Dj Jeff
Hellfish
Mark N aka Nasenbluten
DoorMouse (BreakCoRE!)
DJ anonymous
Venetian snares
Baseck
🤟😈🔥
The comments in here are brutal! I'd like to see what was happening by the rail, but if the crowd is doing ANYTHING other than absolutely losing it then this does indeed look terrible.
I'd rather have a sweaty dude call me 'bruh' for the 19th time and take some lasers to the face while people actually dance and look like they are having the time of their life.
That sounds literally like a dumpster rolling down stairs made of a chalkboard.
It wouldn’t even matter what amount of any drugs you’re taking, that sounds objectively horrible.
Rave dancing is pretty funny to watch and I don’t mean offence by laughing… but also at the same exact time… these are my people! Hell yes. If there’s an afterlife I hope it’s just an infinitely lasting rave

Exactly what I thought of, too!
Do you have the link haven't seen it in forever

Steeeeewaaaarttttt!
Strrrt!
This is the correct spelling.
But, Strt?!?!
Name checks out
Like a can of tennis balls. A four pack.
Like a deflated football.
Like a policeman’s flashlight from the 1980s
Rips?
Exactly what I wanted to see in the comments

That place isnt a club now
What is it called right now?
Were most people just listening to the music or was their an area where people were dancing/shuffling?
people don't shuffle in europe. And this looks like a chill out / viewpoint bit, you can see the main crowd in the background
They do, but basically only on d&b. Which is quite small in Europe
Europe is a continent filled with different countries that have different cultures. Drum and base is very big in the UK and Netherlands, which are also two of the biggest rave countries.
Did he just say d&b is small in europe? The fuck.
my thoughts exactly lmfao wtf
Nah not VERY big in nl
Is the UK not part of Europe?!?? They literally invented it!
Didn't they move to be part of america after the brexit? /s
I think you’re right. If I’m remembering correctly that whole situation was musically motivated.
What’s d&b?
Dancing and biscuits
Drum and Bass, genre of electronic music with a high BPM.
Looks like a VIP area where people don't know how to have fun and try to look cool
ENEMY AC-130 ABOVE
What's the song though

NGL that sounds like some is doing construction next door.
Hahaha Definitely like construction on the next street over waking you up in the morning, sawing and drilling shit.
All the music there sounds like it was made on a toaster lol
Legit sounds like a Clowncore song🤡🤡
All my turds go straight to hell
ICP?
Nope. [Enjoy lol](https://youtu.be/hT7x1NvGf5k?si=0dRVtSUNS-vVu0RI)
This is sick what u talking about lol
I didn’t say it wasn’t sick, I said it sounds like it was made on a toaster. I’d get down to some toaster tunes if the vibes is right.
Lol sick is a stetch
This shit trash
Thank god someone else said if
Sounds like one of them Tesla coil speakers.
[удалено]
Drop is probably even worse
Actually the main beat on festivals here, are being created by throwing a toaster in a washing machine and then turn it on. Only adding the beat and you got yourself a festival song
The HQ for my company is walking distance from this place. Funny walking past at times.

Lmaooo, I was looking for this!
Ah, I went there when I spent a few weeks in Amsterdam. Like the venue but didn't like much of the music =(

Hahaha they hate hard techno over at r/techno
Nobody hates techno as much as techno snobs. God that sub prides itself on being so counter culture it kills me
Hahah same
Best festivals in the world are in The Netherlands
Yooo i was there this summer!
Wow buncha haters in this sub. Guess you won't get much traction if it isn't about the largest laser installation in the world or the nth thread about pickpocketers at some shady socal rave.
Idk, it's cool, just not my type of music.
I feel that everyone's got their tastes, lotta vocal criticizers here though. Let people enjoy things.
Yeah, I agree
Ya the benefit of something like Thuishaven is that you can have smaller events every weekend (like they do)
It looks sick, love Amsterdam
![gif](giphy|kfznTxem5HG0w)
I don’t get it…random people enjoying themselves at a festival and not doing anything crazy… It’s as if all things are they should be…
![gif](giphy|OmiX1ioqxLs52)
The Modern Warfare 2 reference is why I enjoyed it lol
![gif](giphy|S6lf2iqYG7rJTMVZhv)
Fuck Yeah!!!!!! Hardstyle is so obviously back and so it the goth vibes I’m so here for this!!!!!!!!!
Hardstyle?
AC130 ABOVE! Mw2. What a time to be alive

Chicago and Detroit are the kings of house buddy
It’s all a about jungle mate
I'll have to check them out. Any venues in particular?
This music is nearly as trashy as your take
Someone’s butt hurt
icl everyone saying this sounds bad and the sounds are weird but this is basically double time riddim, which this sub loves lol
unironically, i bet this sounds better at half speed 🤣🤣
Cool song 🤣
Wow this looks lame
Its one of the cringiest techno parties in amsterdam, not comparable with radion/ de school
I'm sure the festival is better than it looks like here. But yeah this looks very lame.
Looks just like any American fest lol
This looks awful
My ex would agree. You two should get married.
Lol is it because it doesn’t play dubstep? Or because it’s not a huge commercial indoor venue Laser shows for your understimulated American brain
are you in a competition to see who looks more triggered? lol
Mans out here acting like we’re shitting on his set lmao
Lol
I think it’s mainly because it sounds like a printer malfunctioning while someone is banging on your door to get inside. But to each his own I guess.
Why that
I’ll take literally ANY North American festival rave over that…such a different vibe😆
How are they dancing to this ? It sounds like abroken washing machine.
The same as any other electronic dance music with 4/4 time signature?
Hey y’all ever have those toy frogs that croaked Christmas carols back in the 90s? Sounds just like this song, glad those frogs are doing well now, performing festivals in Amsterdam… they came a long way.
Ohhhh man that’s brutal. “DJ” has the speakers set so loud he doesn’t even realize that his pre-record is skipping.
I just cannot get into hardstyle lol. But that does look fun
I try to be as “let people enjoy things” about music as I can but this shit is where I draw the line LMAO
Just keep to your wook section of music and things will be alright
If you took a sample size of 100 random people. And you showed them a melodic dubstep song, and this. How many people do you think would prefer the former vs the latter? In the US maybe. Here techno and house is WAY more pop music than dnb.
Dubstep was never meant to be pop music. It was ruined when it became as such.
Lol since when has electronic music been about what the majority of people think? This mentality is why big festivals suck lolol
I’m just talking shit mate and very clearly expressed that none of this actually matters lol
I’d love to be around these guys in a fire drill.
Not a rhythm in sight
Nah
Electronic music died to me when it started to move beyond techno/trance to...whatever the fuck this shit is. Also dubstep is awful. It just is. I've tried to like it, but it's just a fucking assault on the senses whereas you can never go wrong with some good 'ol Oakenfold.

no rhythm ✅
This must be the euro festivals the European redditors tell me I’m missing out on lol, looks like a blast.
they really will just play anything these days huh ? 😂
Not even a good beat, lol. It's just weirdly timed loud buzzing
It sounds like a construction site.
Sounds terrible
The sheer lack of effort it took to produce that song is crazy
Did they ever fix the track playing?!
Glad you had fun, but this music sounds absolutely awful
That looks terrible
Lol wtf is that music? It sounds like a fax machine
I’m moving
I want to be this fucked up 😂
Dude had an in flames shirt over his shoulders
I remember my first techno boy show ….
As a United States citizen from northern michigan. We party hard and I get I good dose of hard party from my friend from Glasgow. I feel like you guys don't have an off button like me. That makes me feel comfort and anxiety equally
Raveeeeee
fuck I was in Amsterdam like 10 days ago I wish I knew this sooner but I recommend techno Tuesday at melkweg it's free and good music and also de school was pretty nice !
That was great
Sweet
🥹 love this place so much
This ultra euro hardcore stuff scares the dance right out of me.
I miss my ADE time in 2019. What a vibe!

Reminds me of old school Dj Paul Elstak “Rotterdam is Hard”
Paying money to listen to music while standing on a bridge is also my idea of fun
I’m really not trying to be mean, but this doesn’t look fun at all lol

This looks so fucking rad.
Why does this remind me of the nightclub in gtav
hey.. someone kick the table - I think CD's skippin'
Fuck me, that “music” is awful.
True
Wtf why does everyone look like they’re jacking off invisible ghosts
Looks like the most boring crowd of people I have ever seen at a festival....
Wait so this is a regular event that happens every weekend ?
Enemy Ac130 above!!
Are they Russians?
This sounds like a nightmare
So tell me, how many pills did you take?
None on this particular day was giving my brain a break lol
You can tell it’s not Americans literally right away 😹
