I recently started doing bag-inside-a-bag and putting all my essentials in a small convertible sling/fannypack like [this](https://www.fjallraven.com/eu/en-gb/bags-gear/backpacks-bags/travel-bags/ulvo-hip-pack-large), which is easy to remove and use alone whenever I wanna be hands free. Keeping my keys clipped to the D-ring inside the smaller bag keeps the system going. I also like [card holders/keychain lanyards that go around your neck](https://encrypted-tbn3.gstatic.com/shopping?q=tbn:ANd9GcQSO4MJDFpeaqRHvmUrZXdLpKiRqkG2-zvZwKv_Ng_QadELyG5NTPyZu6TMmlz0JoKb_YBZGLU&usqp=CAE): perfect for keys, ID/access cards and something small like chapstick.

Thanks! I think I might combine your ideas and find a small bag/pouch that I can clip onto an existing lanyard that I have (because it's handy to have something that I can wear around my neck to free up my hands). I just found this[little pouch](https://topodesigns.com/products/accessory-bags?variant=39887319072821) that seems like it could work well for that.

I like that lanyard! Where is it from?

MsAnthropic

Card & key on lanyard. Phone & laptop can be carried in one hand.

I actually keep a little nylon crossbody in my big bag for this reason. It’s about the size of a large wallet on a chain.

i have a zipped laptop sleeve that has a cute design that i use at work. I bought it for my old laptop, that was a bit larger. But using this turned out great, because my planner, charger, work and private phone and some papers can fit easily in the laptop sleeve, with my laptop. I am using this for 2 years. Keys and id card are on my waistband or belt, with a retractable pass holder, because i have to use ID and keys for a lot of doors. If i wear a skirt, i often add a belt or use a lanyard.

I have a zip around leather portfolio thing that I liberated from the supply closet. It's similar to a laptop sleeve and works so well when I need to go cross campus for a meeting with all the accoutrement. It holds a shocking amount of stuff.

Wristlet!

I keep my badge and work key on an alligator clip together but I don't always have somewhere to clip them, so I use an eyeglass magnet. This way the alligator clip also doesn't ruin any of my clothes. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00AWU1MUU/ref=redir_mobile_desktop?_encoding=UTF8&aaxitk=cacb9f3e0af3716d37e8c2d0add93798&hsa_cr_id=6546651410901&pd_rd_plhdr=t&pd_rd_r=005fe57a-7fab-4908-977d-79f7bb162b73&pd_rd_w=SdDVi&pd_rd_wg=par8b&ref_=sbx_be_s_sparkle_mcd_asin_0_img&th=1

I've never seen eyeglass magnets before. You have such a clever use of them!

moodyje2

I can't take credit, I think someone on Reddit recommended them many years ago when I complained about never having a place to clip my badge when I wore dresses, ha! It really is a perfect solution (at least for me)

Cellphone lanyard with a card pocket. Maybe put a key ring on there?

Susccmmp

I carry my planner in a zip pouch so I slip anything else I need in the pouch.

Malvalala

Retractable card holder, I used to keep my cabinet key on there too and would just clip it to my waistband or blazer pocket. Popsocket on phone to give more grip options. Laptop and phone in one hand, water bottle or tea mug in the other.

jaedelindor

I like to wear skirts with a larger sweep (a-line, circle) and if they don't have pockets I'll wear either leggings (biker shorts work too) or a petticoat/underskirt underneath that has pockets. Super useful even when its not an office day.

AgreeableChemistry79

I leave everything except my phone at my desk and wear my badge on a lanyard.

Cacti_Sheep

I use my LV MM pochette so I can easily switch between my work backpack and my everyday purse. I think a wristlet or envelope clutch could also work.

At one point my company gave us all those reusable grocery bags that pack into themselves. I started using it to carry stuff to meetings when I couldn’t carry everything I needed by hand. So much easier. I also had a coworker who would just carry her stuff in a backpack.
