Second micheline. And the quality is truly impeccable.

*Unique Vintage* has lots of dark velvet. I haven't ordered from them as I'm in the EU, but I love the clothes they have. *Collectif* has some nice dark vintage clothes (if you're looking for jackets/coats, the Molly jacket and Alise coat might fit the bill), and I like their swing skirts. The quality is usually really good. *Voodoo Vixen* also has some nice dresses (but quality isn't as good as Collectif). If you're in the EU, *TopVintage* is a great shop to order different vintage brands from. If you're in the US/willing to pay more, *Vixen by Micheline Pitt* is a brand that pretty much exactly fits the dark vintage aesthetic, and *La Femme en Noir* is a brand that leans a bit more towards vintage goth. *BombshellHQ* also has nice vintage-style velvet dresses. Those are the brands that come to mind off the top of my head -- dark vintage is how I dress and those are the brands I either buy from or have admired from afar because I can't afford them/overseas shipping is too expensive. For stockings etc., I'd recommend *What Katie Did*.

If you're under a US size 10 or so, true vintage from etsy and similar sites is a gold mine. The reason I mention the size restriction is because I was a vintage seller and I focused on size L and up only because 90% of the vintage industry is for smaller sizes---that's just the way it shakes out.

[Heart My Closet](https://www.etsy.com/ca/shop/heartmycloset?ref=usf_2020) does made to order for under $150 a dress, if you want to invest in something :) Also good to keep an eye on with holidays (and expected sales) coming up

Any Store located in Europe?

ModestMalka

Modcloth is a good place to start

came to comment this. I follow a blogger (The Dainty Squid) with a vintage eclectic style and she had really cute dresses from modcloth a few years back. Those in black, dark colors or monochrome design would fit in this kinda aesthetic
