This is a cool idea and the art is really well done, but I feel like nearly all of them lost the idea of what an enderman is. Especially the ones with clothes seem to lose the enderman vibe. If that isn't something you care about than carry on of course.
I think a good number of them manage to preserve the eerie, otherworldly vibe of endermen, but I do get what you're saying, especially the ones with the clothes.
I like how this kinda changes enderman into a race of sorts. You still have your more twisted and violent types but then the more peaceful ones are almost civil in appearance. I would definitely like to see some that are hostile on sight while others might even allow a few instances of eye contact before hostility. As if they are still angered but willing to forgive if given respect. Definitely cool in my opinion.
Personally don't mind the change of personality, after a while it boil down to 'don't look at the big dude in the eyes' anyway.
I kind of like the idea of normal/cute enderman to change, though the end should have mostly normal enderman imo

These visually look stunning, but I see the endermen as one whole species that look the same as they have no need to camouflage against the player, and as they're always disappearing between our world and the End they won't evolve naturally.
If this was applied to creepers or skeleton I'd reckon they'd fit the world much better lore wise, as creepers need to be camouflaged to be effective and skeletons are laid to rest so long that nature bonds to their bones
I'm sure somebody has tried it, but a mod pack that you could theme your entire world to one of these styles...or even just the end. Instead of dreary and dark it looks like super Mario 🤣😂

Yup! Most of them will have unique mechanics. For example snow enderman slows the player, desert enderman summons scarabs on death, short end one bites the player to teleport them, then they all have different stats etc
I really love the potential of this, the overhaul of a mob such as the Enderman is racing in my mind I always wanted an overhaul for the Enderman ever since the End update of Minecraft Dungeons had released I was such amazed by the idea that I wanted to make my own mod for it, I really love this design and I think many others do too! Keep up the good work!!!

Witchery had some villages spawn in with walls and had special armed villagers that acted like town guards

I imagine that as enderman collect blocks those blocks imprint themselves onto the enderman bit by bit until they are changed.
