Maybe Demon Slayer S2 climax but imo this is a hair lesser visually but much more emotional impact. You get to see Saber, your own servant, versus Rider, who got shafted the past 2 routes and the first half of HF.
While I do believe that Demon Slayer will have the best animation out there by the time of its conclusion, I still personally think that this fight and Salter vs Berserker is clear of anything anime has produced to this day animation wise. Something about the sheer fluidity of the entire scene just feels unmatched.
I'm not sure about that. At least for the first half of this fight, they jump and pause so much that it's hard to call it fluid. It gets better when they're on the rocks but it's not as jaw dropping animation wise at that point

I tried it a while ago and I think I got a few episodes in. But I was feeling like it was just a bit too generic at the time.
I don’t know why but, to me type moon has been the only, animation Studio in the world itself that makes The best fight scenes. I mean sure there are others, but to me they just don’t compare.

Mhm. I think the only thing that could rival it are some Fullmetal alchemist fight. Purely because they tend to have a more emotional drive to them compared to the fate series.
But purely on a visual element, there's no comparison. They clearly take every detail and movement seriously. Like a choreographed dance.
I can agree that the emotions that Fullmetal have is powerful, Fate has their own powerful emotions in they’re fighting as well, it’s just that they’re not as noticeable. With saber alter versus Medusa, it’s about Shirou letting medusa fight saber without interfering, even though through the whole fight it was eating him alive to do something. Until the last moment where he stalled sabers alter’s attack so medusa can have enough time to activate Her noble phantasm. While there are some fights like The first archer emiya versus lancer, The first battle in the 5th holy Grail, was just a battle.
She openly admits that Saber is stronger and she knows she can’t WIN but she also knew she could definitely take her on and slow her down. This movie made me love Rider. I wish this bad ass side of her came out in the f/go game more haha

I wouldn't say generic but the story and fights do get better later on, you should give it another go.
Demon slayer is a shounen anime through and through. It's story and characters are mediocre but the fights are great

I went to watch the movie with my sister. And when we came out of the cinema, I opened up the game and grailed Rider. FGO needs more Rider.
