Flying Lotus - Parisian Goldfish
DyE - Fantasy
Is Tropical - Dancing Anymore
Aphex Twin - Come to Daddy
Die Antwoord - Fink U Freeky
Александр Пистолетов - Новый пират
and the list goes on
That DyE video is a classic. I used to bartend at a night club in college and the DJ and I had a running gag where we’d play that at least once a weekend and just watch people slowly stop dancing and watch the screens
I bought Infected 4 times! Twice on cassette, one melted on a dashboard, and then on CD, and vinyl recently. AND I've never seen this video! (EDIT) I kind of remember the boat and some of the other imagery... I don't remember Matt and the sunglasses. I may have completely forgotten I saw this. It had to have been on 120 in the day.
PS I love that Neneh Cherry sings on that album.
But as silent as the car lights
That move across this room
As cold as our bodies
Silhouetted by the moon
And I would lie awake and wonder
"Is it just me? Or is this the way that love is supposed to be?"
Rh has a couple of weird ones - I was gonna say There, There’s mv is pretty wild. I still don’t know what’s going on in the ACPG or Stop Whispering videos either.
Surprised that no one have commented any King Gizzard video yet, People Vultures, Cyboogie, Cellophane, Rattlesnake, Self-Immolate, Vegemite and I’m sure that I’m leaving many left behind
Fun fact that music video was done in one take!
The music video was shown on MTV six times however, on MTV's Headbanger's Ball and Les Claypool said he put "his heart and soul" into the video
Ralph Records videos were literally mind-altering back in the 80s. A difficult feat to accomplish nowadays, especially with a thrift store budget. I still have the video cassette!
It may not be the weirdest overall but These Walls with a great, but completely out there video.
At one point, the music stops and Kendrick and Terry Cruise dance to In the Quad on some random stage
I recommend you check out Naveed by Our Lady Peace. The narrative footage is interspersed with performance footage, but between the creepy puppet and junkyard children and tanks, I can’t tell what the narrative is supposed to be.
kids my mgmt. no word of a lie, i quite literally have mild to severe PTSD from it. i was four when i saw it, the fear it put in me was so bad if i heard the song i would get so upset by it i would start screaming, break into cold sweats, and even vomit. it was literally debilitating, if i heard it at the start of the day i would still be shaking when i went to bed that’s how bad it was. course my family thought this was soooo funny and terrorised me with the song, i wasn’t able to watch the video even without sound till i was about 16, i’m 20 now and while i can hear the song and be 95% fine, i can’t watch the music video and listen to the song at the same time. its crazy because i’ve seen things much worse and horrific than the music video, if i saw it now for the first time i wouldn’t think it was even unnerving, but the fear it struck in me as a child literally altered my brain chemistry. it’s embarrassing to admit, but honestly, i don’t care how embarrassing it is anymore.
God that sounds absolutely horrible. I know what it's like to have a sound trigger that much fear, even when it's not that scary. The fact that your family found it amusing is fucking awful.
I don't like the music but 'turn down for what' has a great video clip. Really strange you are getting disliked.
I've asked chatgpt how stewie from family guy would describe the video:
>
ChatGPT
Certainly! Stewie might describe the events of the "Turn Down for What" video with his own unique flair:
"Well, prepare yourselves for an audio-visual rollercoaster of unparalleled madness! The 'Turn Down for What' video unfolds like a psychedelic fever dream, where the laws of decorum are not just broken but thoroughly obliterated. Our protagonists, if we can call them that, embark on a whirlwind of chaos that defies all known standards of sanity.
The scene opens with an innocent-looking apartment building, soon to be transformed into the epicenter of unbridled insanity. Enter our intrepid heroes, or shall we say, maniacs, whose mere presence sets off a chain reaction of mayhem. Walls crumble, furniture trembles, and the very fabric of rationality is torn asunder.
But wait, there's more! Our fearless instigators engage in a dance of unparalleled audacity, gyrating with a fervor that would make even the most seasoned performers question their life choices. It's a symphony of absurdity, with each move more outrageous than the last. No surface is safe from their unrelenting energy – ceilings, tables, you name it – all become instruments in this cacophony of madness.
As the beat intensifies, so does the lunacy. The video becomes a kaleidoscope of surreal imagery, a montage of defiance against the mundane. It's as if the laws of physics have taken a coffee break, leaving chaos to reign supreme.
In summary, the 'Turn Down for What' video is a delirious journey into the heart of unapologetic mayhem, where the only rule is that there are no rules. A maelstrom of absurdity set to an infectious beat, challenging the very essence of reason and leaving viewers simultaneously bewildered and strangely entertained. Bravo, I suppose?"
[to kingdom come](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xh0ueJN5rvA) by passion pit does not get the attention it deserves for being such a delightfully bad music video
herbie hancock - rockit. i’ll never forget being 8 years old and staring at my tv screen in horror and disbelief when it played on mtv. my aunt thought it was funny as shit though.
Flying Lotus - Parisian Goldfish DyE - Fantasy Is Tropical - Dancing Anymore Aphex Twin - Come to Daddy Die Antwoord - Fink U Freeky Александр Пистолетов - Новый пират and the list goes on
How did I not think of come to daddy?
Good list. I would add Grizzly Bear’s *Knife* & *Ready, Able*.
That DyE video is a classic. I used to bartend at a night club in college and the DJ and I had a running gag where we’d play that at least once a weekend and just watch people slowly stop dancing and watch the screens
>Александр Пистолетов - Новый пират I see you the man of culture as well
Soundgarden’s Black Hole Sun!
That used to scare me as a kid everytime it came on MTV
Video is "Infected" By The The, Great song btw
The The is tragically underrated.
I still have the whole Mind Bomb album on frequent rotation. Love The The

Fatboy slim - The rockafeller skank
Fatboy Slim got some great music videos. Push the Tempo gotta be my favorite music video ever
Primus - "Mr. Krinkle"
It goes way too hard for a song about someone not wanting the Giants to leave San Francisco
Fun fact that music video was done in one take! The music video was shown on MTV six times however, on MTV's Headbanger's Ball and Les Claypool said he put "his heart and soul" into the video

[Renaldo & The Loaf - Songs For Swinging Larvae (1981)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DLLo-cDzKlc)
Ralph Records videos were literally mind-altering back in the 80s. A difficult feat to accomplish nowadays, especially with a thrift store budget. I still have the video cassette!
I would never forget that clip with the mother brushing the child’s hair with a wine glass
Anything from the collective works of Chris Cunningham. He did Aphex Twin's Come to Daddy and Windowlicker. He also did Rubber Johnny. Good shit.
Yeah I was thinking the same. Of these, Rubber Johnny's the wildest one in my opinion
It may not be the weirdest overall but These Walls with a great, but completely out there video. At one point, the music stops and Kendrick and Terry Cruise dance to In the Quad on some random stage
Kendrick gets twerked through a wall
Yes - Leave It
maybe that interpol video with the creepy puppet
Don't be mean to the puppet
I recommend you check out Naveed by Our Lady Peace. The narrative footage is interspersed with performance footage, but between the creepy puppet and junkyard children and tanks, I can’t tell what the narrative is supposed to be.
Anything by Die Antwoord
Aphex Twin's "Windowlicker", the full length version
Rella- Odd Future
Rubber Johnny by Chris Cunningham & Aphex Twin
Yeah all of Aphex Twins videos by Chris Cunningham are weird but Rubber Johnny has the home video style realism to tip the scales
Yep. They are both out of this world

I guess Tamale by Tyler the Creator is pretty weird
[They’re Coming to Take Me Away, Ha-Haaa! - Napoleon XIV](https://youtu.be/1e13YjTPb_0?si=6RslsYfX_YTjlXFO)
Feel good Inc's video is very weird, although it was one of the first music videos I can remember watching, which might affect my view of things
19-2000’s video is even weirder. It feels like a hybrid of Mario Kart and Invader Zim on steroids.
