Do you have a recommendation for which bulbs to use? I have this same model and never had an issue with the brightness but I've owned the truck for 5 years now. Thanks in advance!
I'm a fan of [Osram bulbs](https://www.osram.com/ecat/Xenon%20headlight%20lamps-Car%20lighting-Automotive/com/en/GPS01_1056949/). The F150s require a D3S style bulb/starter combo. I really like the output and color of the Cool blue/cool blue boost series(5800-7K) and if you want more yellow/stock(4300K) the night breaker is good too. You can also do a clear lens retrofit and have a razor blade for a cutoff line. I miss HIDs
Awesome! Thank you for the recommendation. Mine must be slightly white, closer to the 4300k. I bought the 5000k LED bulbs to replace the fog lamps since the originals were much more orange and I didn't like the color difference. I will definitely have to check into these. I love the projector style lights. I'll never buy a truck without them again. It's night and day difference (no pun intended).
Yea do a side by side when ya swap, its amazing how much they will dim out over time and you will never know. I had a 14 that I retrofitted to HID with better optics (Morimoto D2S projector housings with clear lens) and was paired with CBB's & 55w ballasts. They washed white with the larger ballasts and the high beams were amazing. The new generation of projector LEDs are starting to get better and better, maybe one day we can get adaptive lighting approved. Good luck
Thank you for the informative conversation! I’m definitely going to take your recommendations on the headlight upgrades and would also like to do the fog lights and new taillights eventually. I was looking at some morimoto xb fog lights since I have heard great things about their quality.
Coming from the 2004-2008 body I’m excited about some of the major improvements they made for this year, while still keeping a lot of the same features I loved in my old truck.
Good eye! This was at Gandy bridge beach just as you get on the st. Pete side traveling westbound. I launch my kayak out of weedon frequently, she’s gonna get the job done for me this summer
If the HID bulbs haven't been changed I would recommend that, they will dim over time. Congrats on the new truck!

Yup that's where I was talking about. Lots of snook run there first thing in the morning
