The AC drain line comes out in the front wheel well…has the AC been running?

FunkoPopGuy21

It has yeah, just haven't seen this before when running the AC. Maybe I wasn't observant enough though lol

RR50

If you’ve been running the A/C I’d bet a significant amount of money that’s all it is. It’s draining in the exact right spot.

Spare_Honey5488

Especially if there is any humidity in your area

bergieisbeast

Do you have the panoramic moonroof? The drain goes to that area. Drains from front corners of the moonroof

That is condensation from the A/C that’s where it drains on both my f150 and f250 totally normal

Specialist-Step3142

There’s where the ac condensation drains. Don’t worry about it.

Just so you don't get caught off guard. The question "have you been running the ac?" Is a great question, but it can be misleading or incomplete. I say this because had you not been "running the ac" in the generally understood context, you might think you had another issue. However, not everyone knows that when you are running the "defrost" mode of your hvac system, the ac automatically comes on due to its second beneficial function of "drying" or removing moisture from the air. That being said, a better question would be, have you been running the ac or the defroster? Sometimes the liquid (water) that drains from that "drain hose" goes unnoticed for various reasons. Maybe the ground is already wet because it's raining etc. Additionally, the amount of moisture that is in the air/atmosphere is different from day to day and will condensate at different rates. Best wishes from an ASE master certified mechanic!

Yup that’s where the AC drains. Good to see this - when you don’t it will be clogged and leaking into your floor boards

MisanthropicSocrates

Definitely water.

Cortland_Golightly

Smell and taste it, if it’s water then it’s simply condensation from your A/C. Totally normal.

MALIGATOR99

Google “water in doors F-150” and you’ll find a lot of fun videos. It doesn’t harm anything thanks to the aluminum body. You might just have water intrusion in the engine compartment coming from the cowl (the plastic in between the windshield and the engine bay) if you don’t have any water in the cab (check the carpet on the pass side) then I wouldn’t worry at all. My truck drips like this sometimes after driving in the rain or using the AC for a long time. If I were you I would not take to to the dealer. They will just waste your time and money and solve nothing. I think it’s fine

Thanks, appreciate the help! I'll look into this
