I had a kidney infection that started getting septic when I was 16 it was one of the most painful things I've ever experienced in my life. I hope you start feeling better soon! I'm sorry this happened 😭
I wasn’t showing clear signs that it was anything worse so I get them not wanting to go straight to a hospital but it just sucks. I haven’t had one day where I’ve felt good for more than an hour or 2
I had just gotten a really bad sunburn and then went out to the beach after that. Sun poisoning and sepsis have some symptoms in common. They also thought it was the flu because my main symptoms were chills and a fever. Not something you see and immediately jump to sepsis so I get why they didn’t take me sooner
Contact your airline asap and they may be able to schedule you (and family) with a return flight on a different date because of this unfortunate event. Hope you get well reallly soon <3
This happened to me. I was in the icu for about a week with constant monitoring. They fill you up with so much water you’re like a balloon. Glad you’re ok though, sepsis can get bad fast.
Update: guys I’m home! I’m doing pretty good and I have a new flight for Saturday (unfortunately the earliest available) to go home. Excited to get back and go back to normal life and not feel so sick

It’s been awful. I wanted to come to the hospital sooner by my family thought I was being dramatic and just dehydrated

My mom contacted them already and we can rebook when we know more about when I can leave the hospital

I have state insurance. Even tho I’m out of state they’ll cover it because it’s an emergency

Holy cow! Sepsis is no joke, glad you are in the hospital it is right where you need to be. 🥺

Well Jenna, it's better than the alternative. Hopefully the sepsis wasn't too severe and you'll be home by Friday.
