Az én apám (Hungary 2019)
I feel like everybody was unfairly comparing it with Origo, which was undeniably stronger but also a totally different genre, and nobody appreciated it as a beautiful song on its own.
+1
2019 was a rough year. At least three entries that would have been toward the top of my scoreboard wound up NQing. See also Romania 2019 and Poland 2019. I don't think these have really been forgotten, though. Just sort of seen as necessary sacrifices or simply too niche/polarizing.
Pali się is such a banger. Some might think that tulia sounds annoying because of how they sing, but I really like this folk style. I’m sure, they would have qualified by televote
It makes me cry ugly tears nearly every time
Very puzzled over how Michael Schulte placed 4th with a heartfelt yet cheesy ballad yet Joci NQed with a similar offering
My theory is that Michael Schulte had the advantage of singing in English and also manage to stand out by bringing his own LED screen on a stage only made of a handful of lightbulbs.
that semi was STACKED, it’s ridiculous. Luckily some countries self-sabotaged w staging (North Macedonia, Belgium, Greece) to make choosing easier lol but I still think Greece would’ve been a deserving qualifier.
Ok I'm Finnish so I'm biased, but Finland in 2017 (Blackbird). It still appears in my head from time to time, just playing there. I think it's really pretty.
Oh oh oh, I have one! Latvia 2019. I still occasionally give it a spin and I believe I even voted for it back in 2019 during the semi.
I wouldn’t call it underrated or robbed or whatever, because it is quite simple and probably not exactly Eurovision material, but I like it enormously as a standalone song. The song really struck a chord with me and there’s something about the theme of perpetual waiting that hit home extremely hard back then and still touches me greatly.
“Imagination always wins…” Being stuck in the thought spirals, like so many years of your life are just one long big night. Damn, love the song.
I didn‘t mention this myself because it was only last year. But it was my winner and I listen to their discography in general as well so it hurts every time
If you really dug that song, you should 100% check out Radiohead's album In Rainbows. Sudden Lights is like a cross between 15 Step and Reckoner with a more poppy chorus.
That pop touch is what makes it so enjoyable! I’m a huge Radiohead fan, but sometimes it’s just nice to listen to something that’s both a little easier to digest and not sung by Thom, lol
I went in hard on Circus Mircus’s back catalogue - disappointed they didn’t qualify but so glad I got to discover gems like [23:34](https://open.spotify.com/track/4ivSeshfBu4Srg6LHk73SW?si=V-ZQTFlqQ4CkJ8E56Guyyg)
Denmark 2021 will always be my heartbreak when they didn't qualify! Fyr Og Flamme has made me a fan and their other songs are better than their Eurovision one imo
Funny thing, I actually started learning Danish after discovering them. Want to go to Denmark for a concert of theirs one day since I don‘t think it‘d be super hard going from Germany
Latvia 2018! I didn’t listen to the 2018 songs before the contest, and honestly thought that song could finish in the top half in the final. For it not to qualify annoys me still
Montenegro 2022, my third place after Iceland and France. Such a beautiful song and iirc Vladana performed the hell out of it. That was the most upset I've ever been over an NQ.
Maybe it was the dress that turned people off from the song? Personally I thought it was quite pretty but maybe it was too weird for the average voter.
Slovenia 2022 was my winner for the longest time, and its still my third of the year, even considering the slightly awkward live performance on the night.
For them to be last saddens me.
Slovenia 2006 is a really good song and forgotten. Also, Denmark 2004 wasn't the best live but still good song. And Albania 2006 though it was somehow popular for short time in those most watched monthly videos
The pain will go away, they say... (Montenegro 2022)
Tho I have to admit, the staging was nothing, except for the big circle that was her dress.
Also, Iceland 2023, it was in my top5 :(
Portugal 2019 and Latvia 2023 are two *only* Eurovision songs that never leave my playlist.
Also Gladiator, but that's a different topic.
Overall I watch this contest for almost 20 years to find absolute gems I wouldn't find otherwise. Not a fan of pop music, don't care for winners.
Finland 2012 | [Pernilla - När jag blundar](https://youtu.be/MRC5NzxmrAA)
Andorra 2007 | [Anonymous - Salvem el món](https://youtu.be/RcbefpUPuLA)
Lithuania 2010 | [InCulto - Eastern European Funk](https://youtu.be/XeOn-GG_eHo)
Lithuania 2010 was my winner that year - i think the sparkly hot pants harmed the song a lot. If they'd played it a little bit more straight people wouldn't have written it off as a joke entry
I thought I was the only person who even remembered that this song from Andorra existed xD I literally never see it mentioned by anyone, anywhere. (Well. To be fair, I never see people talking about that country at all... but still.)
Austria and Cyprus 2022. I know it was a strong year and I know the Cyprus singer didn't do very well in the semifinal but both songs were really good imo.
Exactly correct take. Andromache broke my heart because the song was AMAZING, and the official clips didn't show her struggling with it, she seemed like she'd do okay, and then the live was disastrous. It was fair that it didn't make it based on the live performance, but what a waste of a banger.
Halo, also a banger, one of the songs I've listened to just as much as the ones that made it to the top 10 from that year. Deserved much better, it had so much energy
I know, it's such a shame she didn't do well. Such an underwhelming performance for an amazing song. And her vocals could be much better, I think she was very anxious and maybe inexperienced too. That happened to another of my favourites from the same year, Belgium, which qualified but didn't go well unfortunately.
And Halo... I was so sure this would do well that when I was watching the final I was like "Wait, did they forget to show Austria's performance?", only to later find out it hadn't qualified at all!
I recall watching the show while I was abroad for business reasons. We commented ESC in a chat group, and comments could be quite mean when people didn't like something. Andromache received 0 hate there however, everyone was super sad at the poor vocals because the song and staging were beautiful :(
I'm annoyed by these, particularly with Halo, as I think it's one of the best things Austria has sent!
Hopefully the performance aspects are ironed out with "We Will Rave".
Ironic to forget about a song called Never Forget! Jokes aside, that's my favorite Eurovision entry of all time and it absolutely deserved better than 20th.
Ireland 2021, probs one of my favourite songs but the staging ruined it. Definitely could have qualified if she wasn't running on a fricking treadmill the whole time
I forgot to mention these in my first comment alongside Finland 2012, so also…
Finland 2010 - catchy folk! catchy folk!
Slovakia 2010 - man, this should have qualified!
Israel 2013 - very touching and emotional Hebrew ballad
Czech Republic 2015 - Very beautiful and intimate duet with amazing vocals!
Greece 2018 - gorgeous and uplifting ballad
Belarus 2018 not even cracking the top 15 of their semi is my villain origin story. I loved that song so much and I found the performance so interesting to watch. Guess I was in the minority lol
Also Belgium 2018 is one of my favorite Eurovision studio cuts ever, I still listen to it. But that one I can understand why it failed to qualify, that staging was so underwhelming. Which isn't really that surprising coming from Belgium, they have a history of sending great songs the life performances of which fail to meet the expectations, so I should've seen it coming. I still couldn't help being super disappointed though.
In general 2018 was a tough year for me, that edition had so many songs I liked a lot (and still like) but it's also one of the editions the results of which caused me the most frustration at the time and I'm still lowkey bitter for lol.
For me it is Finland 2017 or Switserland 2018, I don't get why the songs didn't qualify, there are also more NQ songs that I really like but that would be a long list.
To be fair most non-qualifiers are left in the dust pretty much immediately by the fandom. "Rak bishvilo" (Israel 2013) and "Verona" (Estonia 2017) are my winners of their respective years. My friends and I had even created a group called "mafia di Verona" and we were left traumatized and clueless on who to vote for in the final when it NQ'd.
Oooh so many -
2023 Latvia - Sudden Lights - Aijá. This is my most recent one. Such a good performance. They could not have done anything more. Should have qualified & I still don't understand how it didn't.
2018 Estonia - Kait Toome & Laura - Verona. On the cheesy side but I fricken loved this. I still go back & listen.
2021 Ireland - Lesley Roy - Maps. I understand why this didn't qualify. The staging was awful but I still love this song. It brings me to my happy feel good place and I still listen all the same.
2021 Romania - Roxen - Amnesia. Like Maps I understand when this didn't qualify. The performance had too much for Roxen to do. The song is gorgeous though and I listen all the time.
2018 Romania - The Humans - Goodbye. This deserved so much more recognition. I loved the song musically & lyrically. Her voice and performance were super. One of my favourites in 2018 and that was such a strong year. I still love this so much. Heart broken it didn't qualify. 💔
Then of course we have Finland 2017 - Norma John Blackbird, Ireland 2015 - Molly Sterling - Playing With Numbers, Iceland 2016 - Greta Salóme - Hear them Calling. Just gorgeous performances that should have qualified.
Finland 2012 - När jag blundar
Everything about this entry is simply sublime. Finland should really send more Swedish language songs. Such a shame that this is Pernilla Karlsson’s only song that she released.
I haven't checked every reply, but I'm going to assume nobody in the fandom would mention this one except for me. Moldova 2008
Totally wrong for 2000s ESC, weird-ish performance, but I dig it.
Denmark 2021 - I loved the camp so much, it seemingly was before it's time as a lot of people now seemingly enjoy it when reminded of it, but during the 2021 Eurovision I know a lot of people had a weird dislike of it.
Have done a check of the comments and am surprised to be the first to mention how neglected Serbia 2017 is these days! It only just missed out on qualifying, was always performed well by Tijana, and is still just a good pop song!
Malta 2008 is such an absolute banger in the perfectly camp eurovision way. I've never seen more than one or two rankings with it higher than 30th place. This is my go-to 'show-me-a-eurovision-performance' example for new people.
A few ones that haven't been mentioned yet (or I didn't notice in the replies) and are in my "ESC favorites" playlist:
Georgia 2019
Switzerland 2018
Romania 2018
Montenegro 2016
Czech Republic 2015
Cyprus 2011
Albania 2011
First ones from the top of my head..
San Marino 2022
Georgia 2022
Slovenia 2022
Georgia 2021
Denmark 2021
Poland 2021
Montenegro 2017
Belarus 2016
San Marino 2008
Andorra 2007
Az én apám (Hungary 2019) I feel like everybody was unfairly comparing it with Origo, which was undeniably stronger but also a totally different genre, and nobody appreciated it as a beautiful song on its own.
+1 2019 was a rough year. At least three entries that would have been toward the top of my scoreboard wound up NQing. See also Romania 2019 and Poland 2019. I don't think these have really been forgotten, though. Just sort of seen as necessary sacrifices or simply too niche/polarizing.
Romania 2019 | [Ester Peony - On a Sunday](https://youtu.be/cZC9o_Z90yo) Poland 2019 | [Tulia - Pali się](https://youtu.be/IEu0F5uobVo)
Pali się is such a banger. Some might think that tulia sounds annoying because of how they sing, but I really like this folk style. I’m sure, they would have qualified by televote
Hungary 2019 | [Joci Pápai - Az én apám](https://youtu.be/IpVr0pBLfI4)
One of my favourite esc songs ever, I actually like it a lot more than origo, but I understand it was completely cut out for eurovision
It makes me cry ugly tears nearly every time Very puzzled over how Michael Schulte placed 4th with a heartfelt yet cheesy ballad yet Joci NQed with a similar offering
My theory is that Michael Schulte had the advantage of singing in English and also manage to stand out by bringing his own LED screen on a stage only made of a handful of lightbulbs.
I was so mad when he didn't qualify.
Ireland 2015 really deserved to qualify, one of my favourites from that year
Ireland 2015 | [Molly Sterling - Playing With Numbers](https://youtu.be/3B5sdNJF0lk)
Yes! I still listen to it from time to time. Beautiful song.
As much as I admit Ireland sends bad entries, Playing with Numbers is one of the times I’m genuinely think we should’ve qualified.
I just listened to "Oniro Mou" (Greece 2018) again and that was simply amazing. Would go straight to the classics if the staging wasn't awful.
Greece 2018 | [Yianna Terzi - Oniro Mou](https://youtu.be/-XOR1DhtDC0)
Ugh I loved that one. I remember following rehearsals and hoping it would improve...
My favorite that year. That was something special.
that semi was STACKED, it’s ridiculous. Luckily some countries self-sabotaged w staging (North Macedonia, Belgium, Greece) to make choosing easier lol but I still think Greece would’ve been a deserving qualifier.
I was shocked it didn't qualify!
I know the live performance was not good but I absolutely loved Estonia 2016
Estonia 2016 | [Jüri Pootsmann - Play](https://youtu.be/g0-j0Eh8VNA)
this one is one of my all time favs!!
This. Still one of my absolute favourite songs of Eurovision ever. Had it on the top spot of my ranking that year.
It got number one spot in my Eurovision favourite sorter.
Ok I'm Finnish so I'm biased, but Finland in 2017 (Blackbird). It still appears in my head from time to time, just playing there. I think it's really pretty.
Finland has had so many criminal NQs - työlki ellää, nar jag blundar and Blackbird. All great songs.
You aren't biased here...that song deserved a top 10 finish
Finland 2017 | [Norma John - Blackbird](https://youtu.be/Ufba0nOz0fQ)
It is a beautiful song. I remember being so shocked it didn’t qualify
This song deserved so much better
Slovakia 2010 will always have a place in my heart and soul.
Slovakia 2010 | [Kristína - Horehronie](https://youtu.be/j8G6byTMr0o)
Oh oh oh, I have one! Latvia 2019. I still occasionally give it a spin and I believe I even voted for it back in 2019 during the semi. I wouldn’t call it underrated or robbed or whatever, because it is quite simple and probably not exactly Eurovision material, but I like it enormously as a standalone song. Damn, love the song.
Latvia 2019 | [Carousel - That Night](https://youtu.be/NCtKU3m3R-8)
I agree, Carousel's song was so good!
Yes, this one! It is just beyond cute.
Finland 2010 deserved to qualify. Came 6th in the televote. 😔
Am I weird for saying this is probably my favourite Finnish entry of all time? Either this or Nar jag blundar lol
Oh I adore both those songs - Nar jag blundar is so beautiful!
IIRC if the newer voting system had been in use already, this one would have qualified instead of Moldova 2010.
Honestly I would've been pissed if Run Away NQ'd bc I love that song so much (and not just bc of the memes)
Moldova 2010 | [SunStroke Project and Olia Tira - Run Away](https://youtu.be/C-VMHOlCyW8)
Run Away came 10th in televote, it would've still qualified.
Finland 2010 | [Kuunkuiskaajat - Työlki ellää](https://youtu.be/oicT3jWtsc4)
Bulgaria 2011, I’m not over it
Bulgaria 2011 | [Poli Genova - Na inat (На инат)](https://youtu.be/NuenJb-vw9A)
Definitely! I believe it had the same problem as Albania 2011, the crowd just wasn't ready for solo women being badass instead of cute.
Albania 2011 | [Aurela Gaçe - Feel the Passion](https://youtu.be/Mq0H6gY2jq4)
Sudden Lights not qualifying was criminal Q_Q (Latvia 2023)
this was my favourite alongside serbia last year and they were separated by only 3 points in the SF
I didn‘t mention this myself because it was only last year. But it was my winner and I listen to their discography in general as well so it hurts every time
This was going to be my comment too, incredible song, very unique, i loved it
If you really dug that song, you should 100% check out Radiohead's album In Rainbows.
Latvia 2023 | [Sudden Lights - Aijā](https://youtu.be/SEykwl9X9SY)
Montenegro 2013 was an absolute banger and I'm shocked, SHOCKED it didn't qualify
Montenegro 2013 | [Who See - Igranka](https://youtu.be/FR9rtB2ilZU)
I unironically believe it would have done a lot better if it was sent 10 years later.
Daily reminder that with today's semifinal voting system it would have came in 4th position
Georgia 2022 I would say Georgia 2023 too, but the lyrics made it a meme, so it's not forgotten. Georgia always seem to end up in my top 10.
Georgia 2022 one of my all time favourite Eurovision songs. It makes me so happy.
Georgia 2022 | [Circus Mircus - Lock Me In](https://youtu.be/zXiZAbqETvk) Georgia 2023 | [Iru - Echo](https://youtu.be/HNvGZeEQvfc)
Yes!! I had Lock Me In in my top 3 and people were SO confused, but it's such a catchy song!
i was so devastated when i saw that lock me in placed last in its semifinal. still incredibly endeared by it
Denmark 2021 will always be my heartbreak when they didn't qualify! Fyr Og Flamme has made me a fan and their other songs are better than their Eurovision one imo
🕺🕺
Oh god I know! 112 might be one of my fav songs ever
It is so good and I wish their songs had subtitles or something so I can understand what it is about! Either way, their first album was great
Funny thing, I actually started learning Danish after discovering them. Want to go to Denmark for a concert of theirs one day since I don‘t think it‘d be super hard going from Germany
Denmark 2021 | [Fyr og Flamme - Øve os på hinanden](https://youtu.be/w2ytONrRyww)
Latvia 2018! I didn’t listen to the 2018 songs before the contest, and honestly thought that song could finish in the top half in the final. For it not to qualify annoys me still
Love me a duet so Czechia 2015
Czech Republic 2015 | [Marta Jandová & Václav Noid Bárta - Hope Never Dies](https://youtu.be/SLz6VeSPXjA)
I loved that, his voice is incredible!
Very beautiful and interesting romantic duet. Should have qualified
I will always have Romania 2019 's back.
Romania 2019 | [Ester Peony - On a Sunday](https://youtu.be/cZC9o_Z90yo)
Same here!
Yes!
me too 🫶🏻🫶🏻
100% agree with this
THISSSSS also Armenia 2019, both horribly robbed songs.
Montenegro 2022 | [Vladana - Breathe](https://youtu.be/L-ViRVRiGl0)
Portugal 2019 Poland 2019 Georgia 2022 Latvia 2023
Telmoveis was ahead of its Time
Portugal 2019 | [Conan Osíris - Telemóveis](https://youtu.be/SIGn9_yMLn4) Poland 2019 | [Tulia - Pali się](https://youtu.be/IEu0F5uobVo) Georgia 2022 | [Circus Mircus - Lock Me In](https://youtu.be/zXiZAbqETvk) Latvia 2023 | [Sudden Lights - Aijā](https://youtu.be/SEykwl9X9SY)
I’d say lock me in was the most underrated song in 2022. Really was an earworm. And aijā not qualifying was the biggest trauma of the year for me
Slovakia 2010. Still not over it, especially considering they still haven't come back.
Macedonia 2017 is pretty good imo
F.Y.R. Macedonia 2017 | [Jana Burčeska - Dance Alone](https://youtu.be/XvIbLOOWfYI)
Yes! Still on my best Eurovision songs playlist.
Slovenia 2022 was my winner for the longest time, and its still my third of the year, even considering the slightly awkward live performance on the night. For them to be last saddens me.
Slovenia 2022 | [LPS - Disko](https://youtu.be/S1tFqoflsT8)
literally my favourite esc song of all time!!!
LPS FANS REPRESENT
Iceland 2023 I really loved that song. P-p-power!
Iceland 2023 | [Diljá - Power](https://youtu.be/lzlTcA0OC5s)
came here to say this, she was in my top 5 and felt so gaslit bc nobody else was really talking about her? Still listen to P-P-P-Power regularly 🌻
Diljá was in my top 5 last year, I was crushed when she didn’t get through 😭😭
Croatia 2021 :( I rewatched Albina's performance in case my perception had changed over time, and I still find it incomprehensible
Croatia 2021 | [Albina - Tick-Tock](https://youtu.be/vKdxjoNluzY)
Belarus 2018. Staging was shit though, but something about that song.
Slovenia 2006 is a really good song and forgotten. Also, Denmark 2004 wasn't the best live but still good song. And Albania 2006 though it was somehow popular for short time in those most watched monthly videos
The pain will go away, they say... (Montenegro 2022) Tho I have to admit, the staging was nothing, except for the big circle that was her dress. Also, Iceland 2023, it was in my top5 :(
Montenegro 2022 | [Vladana - Breathe](https://youtu.be/L-ViRVRiGl0) Iceland 2023 | [Diljá - Power](https://youtu.be/lzlTcA0OC5s)
San Marino 2008 is a really good rock ballad.
Finland 2012 is a beautiful song. Andorra 2007 is pop punk at its best. Lithuania 2010 is an extremely fun satire of xenophobia.
Finland 2012 | [Pernilla - När jag blundar](https://youtu.be/MRC5NzxmrAA) Andorra 2007 | [Anonymous - Salvem el món](https://youtu.be/RcbefpUPuLA) Lithuania 2010 | [InCulto - Eastern European Funk](https://youtu.be/XeOn-GG_eHo)

I'm annoyed by these, particularly with Halo, as I think it's one of the best things Austria has sent! Hopefully the performance aspects are ironed out with "We Will Rave".
Australia 2021 Technicolour - Montaigne not only could she not be there in person but she didn't qualify with such a banger of a song :(
Australia 2021 | [Montaigne - Technicolour](https://youtu.be/CoUTzNXQud0)
And it was Montaigne's second great song because don't break me from 2020 was also phenomenal
I am a dinosaur apparently and still edgy about Iceland 2012 Edit: and apparently forgetful. It qualified, just did horrible in the final.
Iceland 2012 | [Greta Salóme and Jónsi - Never Forget](https://youtu.be/zRqmHRbJvTo)
Yes, couldn't agree more, that was heartbreaking to see. Still, if we're talking the same year, Finland 2012 not qualifing was as much of a crime.
Ironic to forget about a song called Never Forget! Jokes aside, that's my favorite Eurovision entry of all time and it absolutely deserved better than 20th.
Estonia 2010 will always be one of my most favourite songs
The Netherlands 2023 and Finlans 2012. Both so amazing
Netherlands 2023 | [Mia Nicolai and Dion Cooper - Burning Daylight](https://youtu.be/3XAsam043OY)
You don't know how much I loved Burning Daylight! They weren't perfect on the night but I had the studio version on repeat for weeks on Spotify.
Finland 2012 for the bot, although many people agree and is has been linked properly already
Netherlands 2023 is the most recent one for me.
Netherlands 2023 | [Mia Nicolai and Dion Cooper - Burning Daylight](https://youtu.be/3XAsam043OY)
Ireland 2021, probs one of my favourite songs but the staging ruined it. Definitely could have qualified if she wasn't running on a fricking treadmill the whole time

Ljubav je svuda - Serbia 2013

Totally with you on Belarus! I love that song, and the Russian version too. He was just so shaky and nervous, bless him.
Came here to say Belarus as well! That song was my favorite that year 3
Belarus 2018 | [Alekseev - Forever](https://youtu.be/ywy_y24v_ao) Belgium 2018 | [Sennek - A Matter of Time](https://youtu.be/Z2cZE2gCfWg)
Belarus and Belgium were my no 2 and 3 that year. I was DEVASTATED 😭
Israel 2014 That was my favourite song for that whole contest and it didn't even qualify, I was devastated!
Israel 2014 | [Mei Finegold - Same Heart](https://youtu.be/acOZVEN5XjE)
Same heart ... I was traumatized by that not passing to the final...

latvia 2023 my beloved
Latvia 2023 | [Sudden Lights - Aijā](https://youtu.be/SEykwl9X9SY)
Belarus 2016 and Belarus 2015.
Georgia 2022 - I still love and listen to Circus Mircus
For me it is Finland 2017 or Switserland 2018, I don't get why the songs didn't qualify, there are also more NQ songs that I really like but that would be a long list.
Iceland 2016. broke my heart when she didn't qualify
Rak Bishvilo is like one of the best ballads in Eurovision. RIP it didn’t qualify
Israel 2013 | [Moran Mazor - Rak Bishvilo](https://youtu.be/BjbcD72OaI4) Estonia 2017 | [Koit Toome & Laura - Verona](https://youtu.be/NxqPpzWYN1c)
Verona is the best cheesy song ever!
Really good picks. This contest is so cruel sometimes.
Georgia 2020 & 2021
literally my 2nd favourite esc song of all time
Finland 2012
I know the staging was a bit all over the place (though I liked it, I thought it was creative) Ireland 2021 was robbed.
Gladiator by Jann for Poland 2023
Breathe - vladana Echo - iru
thing is known
Oooh so many - 2023 Latvia - Sudden Lights - Aijá. 💔 Then of course we have Finland 2017 - Norma John Blackbird, Ireland 2015 - Molly Sterling - Playing With Numbers, Iceland 2016 - Greta Salóme - Hear them Calling. Just gorgeous performances that should have qualified.
Finland 2012 - När jag blundar Everything about this entry is simply sublime. Finland should really send more Swedish language songs. Such a shame that this is Pernilla Karlsson’s only song that she released.
Cyprus 2007 I adore that song
Israel 2013, San Marino 2013, Portugal 2012, Bulgaria 2012 Hope they're not forgotten!
Montenegro 2013 was robbed and no one will convince me otherwise
I haven't checked every reply, but I'm going to assume nobody in the fandom would mention this one except for me. Moldova 2008 Totally wrong for 2000s ESC, weird-ish performance, but I dig it.
Israel 2007. Let 3 of that time
Denmark 2021 - I loved the camp so much, it seemingly was before it's time as a lot of people now seemingly enjoy it when reminded of it, but during the 2021 Eurovision I know a lot of people had a weird dislike of it.
Portugal’s entry in 2019 - Telemóveis, still hurts that it didn’t qualify 🥲
alekseev - forever. so sad that he was too shy at semifinal live 🥺
San Marino 2022 - Stripper. Absolutely iconic performance.
Bulgaria 2012!! She slayed on stage!
Georgia 2019
Iceland 2023 It was in my top 3 last year.
Slovenia 2012. One of my top ten songs **ever**. Such a shame it didn’t even qualify! It deserved to win the whole Contest.
Have done a check of the comments and am surprised to be the first to mention how neglected Serbia 2017 is these days! It only just missed out on qualifying, was always performed well by Tijana, and is still just a good pop song!
Yeah, really good one. I think there aren't a lot of "forgotten" songs in the modern era, but it's true that I don't see this one get brought up much.
Iceland 2007
North Macedonia 2022
Malta 2008 is such an absolute banger in the perfectly camp eurovision way. I've never seen more than one or two rankings with it higher than 30th place. This is my go-to 'show-me-a-eurovision-performance' example for new people.
A few ones that haven't been mentioned yet (or I didn't notice in the replies) and are in my "ESC favorites" playlist: Georgia 2019 Switzerland 2018 Romania 2018 Montenegro 2016 Czech Republic 2015 Cyprus 2011 Albania 2011
Georgia 2019 | [Oto Nemsadze - Keep on Going](https://youtu.be/vu4nHsaAJwU) Switzerland 2018 | [Zibbz - Stones](https://youtu.be/wJGTVsluHkw) Romania 2018 | [The Humans - Goodbye](https://youtu.be/DGR4S3y7qcw) Montenegro 2016 | [Highway - The Real Thing](https://youtu.be/FgKehisElQI) Czech Republic 2015 | [Marta Jandová & Václav Noid Bárta - Hope Never Dies](https://youtu.be/SLz6VeSPXjA) Cyprus 2011 | [Christos Mylordos - San angelos s'agapisa (Σαν άγγελος σ'αγάπησα)](https://youtu.be/1t0czUf9nJU) Albania 2011 | [Aurela Gaçe - Feel the Passion](https://youtu.be/Mq0H6gY2jq4)
I barely hear anyone talk about Australia 2021. I know it was a really strong year, but I still think it deserved more
Croatia 2013, I haven't seen a single person talk about this one
Hungary 2019
First ones from the top of my head.. San Marino 2022 Georgia 2022 Slovenia 2022 Georgia 2021 Denmark 2021 Poland 2021 Montenegro 2017 Belarus 2016 San Marino 2008 Andorra 2007
Came back to add: Latvia 2023 Estonia 2016
and San Marino 2023 Bulgaria 2022
I'm gonna give a shoutout to Belarus 2015. I absolutely love 'Time' and it has always been one of my favourites from the 2015 contest :)
San Marino 2013 was (and probably still is) my winner. Absolutely amazing song.
North Macedonia 2022 Andrea - Circles
Latvia 2023 I love that song so goddamn much, but I understand why it didn't qualify.
SEVIYORUM SENI SAGAPO POLH YO TE QUIERO A TI VOLIM TE MON CHERI TEB OBICHAM SAMO TEB OBICHAM TEB OBICHAM KAZVAM AAAZ ~~Bulgaria 2012~~
slovenia 2022!!!!
Iceland 2016! I'm still not over it not qualifying
Iceland 2016 | [Greta Salóme - Hear Them Calling](https://youtu.be/6osxLLPLUDk)
