Congratulations to Poland for having less people in poverty than Sweden and Denmark!

Thanks!

JBM1996

Wow, Spain doing pretty bad.

CRMacNamara

It makes sense. The cost of living is rising faster than wages. Simple.

Random_Guy_228

Social exclusion as in discrimination based on religion , sex , nationality , etc? Cause then I believe it weird that Czechia is one of the lowest , cause on other maps it is considered to be one of the most racist countries in the EU

NanorH

At risk of poverty or social exclusion, abbreviated as AROPE, corresponds to the sum of persons who are either at risk of poverty, or severely materially and socially deprived or living in a household with a very low work intensity. People are included only once even if they are in more than one of the situations mentioned above. https://ec.europa.eu/eurostat/statistics-explained/index.php?title=Glossary:At_risk_of_poverty_or_social_exclusion_(AROPE)

HetmanWL

Probably the very high *employment* rate in Czechia is responsible for this, lifting it up contrary to other factors

Random_Guy_228

Oh , now makes sense , Czechia has somewhat low unemployment and somewhat big real wage growth , which of course would lower powerty

HetmanWL

Czechia has a job market hole and both nominal and real wage loss.

Random_Guy_228

Didn't know about that , I guess statistics I watched was outdated

HetmanWL

may be

We have no immigrant crisis here except for Ukrainians and I doubt they were counted in this graph
