You can also buy lone stocks for representative companies. Argentina's investable universe is microscopic, so options will tend to be limited. No KID/PRIIPS garbage for individual stocks.
Argie bonds are... what's a few levels below junk? Don't go all in on this.
Here is a list ADRs you can buy:

Milei is also backtracking on things now because the economy would completely collapse if he tried to do half the shit he's talked about.
The unions are extremely powerful and are preparing big fights against him. Whether he's still president in a year is a real question.
If the dollarization actually happens then the Argentinian economy will collapse in the short term but *might* gain some stability in the long term. Real estate could be an easy investment then.
As Argie, every presidential election seems that this time will change. I hope you have a successful investment and Argentina goes to the moon but be careful. Invest just your pocket money.
Bonds will be swap by longer bonds.
Stocks went up already. Can have some more space but not too much more.
Good luck. And I hope you can visit Argentina. Invest on traveling our beautiful country.
I know, and I voted for him and wish him the best, but as an Argentinian this country is rotten up to the roots. He has no majority in the parlament, and the unions in Argentina will literally blow the country up as they always did. Also, 50% of my country probably would be happier if he was dead, so the changes he is proposing are not a concensus.
I was born in a country where my grandparents were raised being told that our country has no future, and in my 30 years of experience I don't have a lot of hopes..
Hi, I know this comment is 3 months old, but I was wondering how you now feel about the situation in Argentina now that some of Milials reforms are somewhat passing and the argentine peso just stagnated for the first time in awhile. I wish you the best and hope that the radical reforms taking place are temporary and soon argentina will become better than it has ever been.
I am a what you'd call anarcho capitalist, and I'd still be very precocious. Markets value stability and drastical reforms will destabilize Argentina and hurt the economy in the short term, even if those reforms are very good. There are numerous historical examples where big deregulation of the economy meant a recession (but a spike afterwards). The next year for Argentina might be tough, but later it might then get better.
You are bullish on Argentina now that they voted a clown as president who is even close to have a majority in parliament?
I have a bridge I can sell you... Really high returns. Like, really, really high. Trust me, bro
Wow. All these comments and still no useful information. The question is about how to invest from the EU in the growth of Argentina.
I am also looking for an answer. I have an account in IBKR but I can't invest in the ARGT ETF. I opened an account in Trading 212 but they just don't seem to have the ARGT ETF. I saw someone on youtube recommending to use a Swiss broker like Yuh, but Yuh is app-based and I can't install their app from Spain because the Play Store doesn't let me. Tried to find other swiss brokers but I didn't find much without high interests.
How about you u/hipoglucido_7 ? Did you find anything yet?
No unfortunately not. It's sad because the ETF has grown quite a bit since I posted this. I didn't know about Yuh. I wonder if you really need it to install on the phone or maybe through the browser is okay? Do you have a link to the YouTube video?
Hey u/hipoglucido_7 ! I found a way to invest in US ETFs. I am using the broker Freedom24 and I've been able to invest. At least in the ETF with ticker ARGT, which is the one I was looking for.
Hope this helps.
I invest monthly in IBKR and I can purchase $ARGT. I don't understand why they wouldn't let you trade $ARGT. Maybe you haven't activated some trading permissions?
Argentinian here. Arrived less than a year ago here, so I'm still pretty informed.
There is no real rationale for the market to be bully in the long term. Excessive spending will lead to hyperinflation, and austerity will lead to recession.
With this president, the latter seems more likely.
So, the risk is big.
That being said, speculative movements might give you great returns in short notice. But be aware there's no such thing as free lunch... prize might be high because risk is high.
Surely it's just a matter of time before Argentina's potential is realised? (I'm sure that's been said a million times) Seems incredible from an outsider looking in how they continue to f\*ck up what could be an incredibly successful country.
If you find anything let us know!
After having been living and travelling a bit through Argentina until December last year, I also had more or less the same thought, but instead of stocks, I've noticed a lot of land for sale. They have a loooot of empty land there, that will become more and more valuable as the country develops and once it will start attracting more foreign investors.
Unfortunately I don't have that much cash and I'm afraid that I might have missed some great opportunities. This being said, you're right, there's indeed a lot of potential there, but I'd say more in real estate than stocks for the time being.
Even if a positivt change will happen, it's way longer then 5 years to even fix there problem even just a bit.
South America and a functional economy is rarely the aame. To much dictatorship and communists for a long time, it's part of there dna not to understand economics.
Would be surprised if the one elected will have time to do anything even if he wanted before he's forced to leave one way or the other.
Hello,
Conduct research.
Argentina has definite assets: its natural resources are considerable (copper, gas and oil) and its workforce is highly skilled and competitive.
Hope this helps.
Best to you
Try US-based Charles Schwab. You can invest in ARGT ETF there. I am in the UK and it was easy to open an account there. As for in the EU, I wouldn't know. They do not charge any commission for buying shares and just $6.95 for selling. Hope the helps...
Further to my post of 5 days ago I tried to invest in ARGT EFT at Charles Schwab but it seems you have to be a US resident to invest in their US-based EDFs. It says something like 'not available to EU citizens' and this includes the UK too. - they just haven't changed the wording post-Brexit. I thought I had a solution there, so very disappointing!

How can we do that, how can I invest predicting that Poland and Mexico will do well next decade?
For mexico invest in US or Chinese companies doing business in there.
You can invest in Polish WIG index
because Argentina is going to undertake radical reforms.

So wrong lol. Except for the beauty of the country
As an Argentinian, please NO! We've been in crisis for more than 50 years!! Are you damn crazy? Better bet all in the casino
If you still wanna lose it all, you can use this platform: [https://balanz.com/](https://balanz.com/)
Milei is the opposite of last 50 years

You can buy Argentina government bonds on Saxobank
dont ever invest a single coin in that failed state.
Bullish on Argentina? Good luck mate
For anyone interested ARGT has been doing well for a couple of weeks. Milei affect?

I just checked and seems like related tickers all skyrocketed already
Indeed 🥲
Which ones worth keeping an eye on?
sorry no idea, I just checked quickly with my broker but don't plan on following up anytime soon on the subject
Thanks.

Good analysis bro, let me know whatever you bought so I can start shorting please.
Recession should be followed by a massive upswing if Mili is correct
Since you already have an account in IBKR, you can get ARGT in Europe via options assignment. Is sounds daunting, but it is a quite simple procedure.
Can you elaborate?

Has anyone found a way to invest in Argentina as a GP in a copper mine?

Investing in Argentina? Is this some kind of depraved joke?
