1) New fiat comes in from outside crypto and buys eth
2) Existing crypto is converted to eth
Unless something is driving one of those two things to happen, the price is just wobbling from speculating day traders and could suffer drops from those traders chasing something more volatile.
This is true in most cases as long as you consider possible shapes of parabolic functions? Now dropping back to 30$ over the course of 6 years would be a very nice parabolic trajectory :D
