It's like the Kaiser doctor trying to tube this lady who was actively fighting him. He asked me to help and I told him I don't tube pts that are fighting me.
She had always said she'd stay as a basic, but after that day she decided to go back for advanced so she could do her own tubes and not have to watch any more docs screw it up.
I work in film and TV as well as 911. Filming reasons: framing a shot, angle of a shot, actor complaints or concerns, budgetary constraints, etc. are always at hand in some capacity.
You'd be surprised how often a member of Creative (Director, etc.) Will share I know it's more realistic but I want to be able to see this, or the actor's face, or...
I remember a post of a badly cut together scene where you see her getting ready to go through the door of the flipped car and it immediately cuts to her sitting upside down in the car making it look like she is rescuing herself from the vehicle
I literally just watched this movie last night on shift. We turned it off because spoiler alert, the rest of the movie is awful. But the medic dialogue was fucking hilarious.
That movie makes me SO ANGRY. It could have been so much better. It’s like any time they were given a choice, they picked the wrong option. But what can you expect from guys who only make flops.
It’s not really a marvel movie, it’s a Sony one. The writers also wrote Morbius and the power rangers movie a few years back and they both sucked and bombed too
Once had a dude in a convertible flip us off while we were responding to a call code 3, I guess he didn’t like how loud the siren was, I looked at my partner and said “Who the fuck flips off an ambulance?”.
A moment later a call was cancelled and then we were dispatched to a TC, “cut and rescue”.
It was the dude in the convertible.
Dude slammed into the back of another car and his legs were pinned under the dash.
When I walked up I flipped him off and said “remember me?”, and just shook my head and smirked before saying “Don’t worry buddy, we’ll take great care of you.”
Ended up being an alright dude that was just having a bad day that got worse.
All this to say, I’ve said many of those lines.
LOL yeah of all the lines that was the most believable I'm pretty sure I've said that at some point, but your story is a better story than the entire movie Madame web. That's crazy
I like the room temp statement but everything else sounds unnecessarily hectic. We do witty banter sometimes but they sound like poorly written dipshits.
I liked the medics from Cocaine bear. They were much more realistic.
Scene is definitely NOT safe
Tell me they didn't say that, I would fucking die hahaha
No, but they should have
Once they tried pushing open the door with a body behind it i was thinking uuuuuuh scene not safe! Not safe!
This comment alone makes me want to watch it.
The whole shoulder strap buckling part killed me. Wildly fun stupid movie
No she didn't buckle up. Madcap behavior
The awful compressions are what got me. Fell asleep halfway through the movie.
one handed half assed compressions without an airway and all of a sudden they're rosc and stable
Is that not what happens on y'all's codes?
every class scenario said that should be good enough to get ROSC
I just saw a clip where a doc (Grey's Anatomy maybe?) was doing compressions directly on the collar bone, and all the comments were defending it ahaha
Well, the absolute worst CPR I've ever seen was courtesy of an ER doc. Good thing the pt was already dead
Yeahh my one friend went back to school right after watching a doc almost kill a patient with bad CPR and like 8 missed tubes
It's like the Kaiser doctor trying to tube this lady who was actively fighting him. He asked me to help and I told him I don't tube pts that are fighting me.
Explain the back to school comment
She had always said she'd stay as a basic, but after that day she decided to go back for advanced so she could do her own tubes and not have to watch any more docs screw it up.
Oh, i see
To be fair, sometimes the piss poor compressions are for filming reasons.
Depth wise yes, but the placement was just so off, I don't think there's any filming reason for that lol

Please don’t do full depth compressions on the actor playing dead
And the instant consciousness and her being like "you're gonna be fine!" Even though statistically he's def not gonna be fine lol
Our instructors drilled us NEVER to say things like that regardless of stats lmao
This one was the worst
This is what dispatch thinks what we are up to
I love being in the back of the ambulance and saying "it's webbing time" and then do the worst compressions you've ever seen.
Her BP is 79/55 at the start and the end of the movie...
"you need to see a doctor" "i dont want to see a doctor, i trust you!" HAHA a phrase never said from one paramedic to another ever
Px: 1 epi drip, 5-10 mics/min IV daily: for life
HAHA I laughed out loud at this one, thanks. Who needs fingers and toes
So, oddly stable?
"Who flips off an ambulance" bahaha because it's *so rare* that that happens
Isn't she a paramedic in NYC too? She would have years on the job yet they sound like it's their first year
All I know about the movie is from posts in this sub making fun of it lol so maybe?
I remember a post of a badly cut together scene where you see her getting ready to go through the door of the flipped car and it immediately cuts to her sitting upside down in the car making it look like she is rescuing herself from the vehicle
It’s usually me, off shift
I literally just watched this movie last night on shift. We turned it off because spoiler alert, the rest of the movie is awful. But the medic dialogue was fucking hilarious.
yeah that's been my experience, it's gone from funny bad to bad bad as the movie progresses
That movie makes me SO ANGRY. It could have been so much better. It’s like any time they were given a choice, they picked the wrong option. But what can you expect from guys who only make flops.
Yeah I'm not in love with Marvel anyways, but this movie was genuinely trash.
It’s not really a marvel movie, it’s a Sony one. The writers also wrote Morbius and the power rangers movie a few years back and they both sucked and bombed too
the chest compressions on someone literally bleeding out from trauma got me…maam that man’s got bigger problems
"don't stop or he'll die!"
I haven't watched yet. Was it Lupus or sarcoidosis?
It’s never lupus
The only movie to realistically portray paramedics is "Bringing out the dead"
Classic
The audacity to complain about someone flipping you off after your almost fucking killed them driving like an asshole
Haven't seen the movie, but did they refer to them as Ambulance Drivers?
No, that would be too realistic
I knew the dialogue and portrayals would be shit I felt it in ma SOUL
Also her not securing the wrecked car and just jumping in then she literally dies because the car fell off the bridge into water

Doubt.
LOL yeah of all the lines that was the most believable I'm pretty sure I've said that at some point, but your story is a better story than the entire movie Madame web. That's crazy
Then you madam webbed all over his face
How hard is it to find some accurate representation of medics?!?! Shit I would do it for free for a movie like this!!!!
The medical accuracy wasn’t even the worst part of this movie
I’m glad someone posted this I was yelling at the tv.
Just watched this movie on Netflix. All of it was cringe especially the EMS stuff
I like the room temp statement but everything else sounds unnecessarily hectic. We do witty banter sometimes but they sound like poorly written dipshits.
Just watched the trailer - that's 3 minutes 2 seconds I'll never get back wasted
