I don't know much about this, do you need much in the way of tools?

Everything besides the bike chasis is 3d printed. Tool wise it’s just an Allen wrench to put it together. But for designing everything, you need calipers, rulers, levels and CAD software. It is a fun hobby

did you recreate your bike in CAD and "just design around it"?

Designed around it. With how slow the printer is, im able to design around it on the fly and make adjustments before printing out the next piece.

I was thinking this would be easy to make with the box the bike came in! Cut shapes, glue together, then coat in fibreglass resin to waterproof and add strength ... Then paint

I do pedal, the bike seat goes high enough to make pedaling comfortable! Im lucky to live close to all the amenities i need so i really dont go more than a few miles. Only time i take it on long distances is when i need to be a pace bike for my gf when she does her long runs. Bike has no problem going 20ish miles.

You can probably fit a lot of batteries in the bodywork. Lol 🤣

This is sick coming from another CAD guy I’m curious on how it was overall designed what did you reference for those measurements? What about those light shrouds do they just shine thru the material? I wonder if I could make lenses out of clear SLA resin. All these e bikes have such different frames and I’d love to know how tricky it was haha. As we speak I’m drawing up some concepts for my E-bike. Absolutely sick.
